Well the timeframe depends of the province and the backlog as well. Itâs been 17 waiting in our case and the application is complete.

Hi how are you! I hope you understand me, Iâm a Canadian citizen over 19*. I have sponsor my wife, and I have done all the paperworkâs, ready to be sent. I have heard it might take a year she will be in Canada, anyways so my wife is pregnant, does it make my paperworkâs easier, and does it still take a year or 6 months?
Yes that helps, you can update the application by letting them know she is pregnant.

Actually I received the PPR of husband last November 3, 2023. Passport submitted NOvember 7,2023, so waiting when to pick up the Visa soon đđ»

No, in my case, I get married last October 28, 2022 and submitted my application November 5, 2022 it was returned unfortunately cuz they ask some documents resubmitted right away got an AOR February 2023. You can submit right away the application as long as you have the certificate of marriage with you as part of the one of the document to be submitted
No Background check
I have been looking at my tracker and almost everything has been completed except the background check. It has been 6 months that it is in progress and I was wondering if it's normal for it to take this long?
I believe it takes 9months I applied in January and still waiting and itâs in a process
