Primary hemostasis is balanced on the dynamic harmonious antagonism between the smooth endothelium (that prefers laminar blood flow) and thrombocytes (which favor clotting and thrombosis).
Platelets are called thrombocytes "cells of thrombus".
The smooth endothelium is squamous epithelium that lines the blood and lymphatic vessels from the inside.
When platelets roll over the smooth endothelium, nothing happens.
But, once there is an injured endothelium, platelets adhere, activate and aggregate to form a temporary platelet plug (primary hemostasis).
Then, the coagulation factors are stimulated "thanks to subendothelial collagen, tissue thromboplastin and platelet factor 3), coagulation cascade ensues until fibrinogen is converted into fibrin fibers trapping the RBCs and forming a stronger thrombus (secondary hemostasis).
After that, fibrinolysis occur (thanks to tissue plasminogen activator or tPA) to destroy the clot and restore function and flow.

Cutting the vessel longitudinally is worse causing no back-flow pressure to happen, making handing the bleeding worse!

The answer of the question is (B) okay ,and that's why? Our blood vessel's smooth muscles are in the shape of circle so if we cut longitudinally we cut the circle of the muscle so it can't be able to contract in a good way.....I hope I am true🙂🙂

The transverse cut is more likely to result in cutting other structures like tendons and nerves. this is the answer provided by google about wrist wounds here the question is not about tendons and nerves it's about the vessels so longitudinal cut is a real pain in the butt because first technically it's always difficult to deal with (I won't speak here about stitching techniques) BUT even if it's perfectly done in case of a longitudinal cut there 's always a higher risk of thrombosis because of the narrowing (after stitching) of the lumen of the vessel; on the other hand transverse cuts are easier to deal with
