    Wow, thanks for sharing this with us!
    It was very insightful for me to listen. You went through a lot and now you made it out on the other side. This must be a really EPIC feeling.
    I also noticed incredible healing from my 21 day water fast which I did at the Tanglewood Center together with Loren Lockman. I followed this with many Solid Food Vacations on nothing but fresh pressed juices. This led me to even greater health and vitality. I feel amazing, I am pretty strong and I'm in excellent health.
    But I still continue to do a minimum of 30 days cleansing phase each year because the detoxification seems to me like an ongoing thing and because I'm still not fully done yet.

    Thank you for being so bold with your message. I have just come back from Tanglewood Wellness Center where I did my 21 day water fast. I posted a video on my CZcams channels and got bot supportive comments and lots of criticism. I feel sorry for people who are so quick to judge before they learn about a certain subject.
    PS I have spent 8 winters in South East Asia. If you need any tips, let me know 🙂

    Excellent message Jeff!! I have kids (teenagers now) and I have eaten only raw (LF) plants for 16 yrs, and 16 yrs before that I was cooked (LF) plants ….. and my kids brought home colds flu’s etc.and in these 32 yrs of Eating only plants I have not had symptoms of a flu or cold and when I was positive for CoVid I wasn’t sick either infact I had more energy when I had that.
    The one thing that concerns me for myself about getting Into the water fasting and repeated detox methods is getting addicted to that - like we saw Hilde Larsen and Robert Lockhart deal with . Now both of their deaths likely are largely due to the dry fasting but their bodies had gotten so weak it’s concerning. But I know that you are thriving and you’re going to be smarter about this, loren lockman is probably the best about being balanced with doing some water fast and living in balance The rest of the time and not trying all these other detox methods on top of the water fasting.

    So working on staying on track with anti-inflammatory diet and fasting 15-20 hours daily which works well for me right now.
    Glad to be back to watching your videos. I'm glad you're doing well. Yes it takes time. I have had some set backs, depression and my thyroid getting worst. But getting over it now. It's been three years so far but determined to heal. I did lose 50 pounds early on in my journey but thyroid is deep tissue cleansing stuff.

    I commend you for your journey and for not shaming meat eaters, just telling us what you feel is optimal.
    You’re right, the journey may be too difficult for most of us. Or, more likely for someone like me, too big of a gamble for something I don’t entirely believe in. But that is why I follow people like you rather than secluding myself to an echo chamber. If my dry fasting and omnivorous lifestyle don’t feel optimal, my diet will evolve.
    I like that your perspective mostly seems to come from a place of seeking optimal human health, not a place of emotion towards animal products we evolved to eat (even if they don’t make us optimal).
    Your experience spikes my curiosity and will continue to. I hope to see your continued progress. Maybe by the time I’m 30, you’ll have convinced me and I’ll be on your timeline😉 although I’m already deep into fasting so I can probably shorten the time span a little.
    If I recall correctly, you aren’t a fan of dry fasting. You’re probably aware, many folk like you in the vegan community are major advocates of dry fasting. Now that you’ve fixed some health issues, I think you should give one a try.. even if it’s only 5-7 days. Do proper juicing and enemas leading up to it and see how you like it

    Thanks for sharing your story.
    I’ll admit, I’m weak, I keep bouncing from raw vegan back to cooked and even thought i needed eggs here and there.
    It’s because like you said, i dont have what it takes mentally!

    I'm also 6,2/1.88cm and it's good to know that even starting at your weight, you made it ! You were 130lbs when you started, which is about 58kg. And you finished around 112, which is like 50kg. Of course, weight is the last thing to think while fasting but it can reassure people ;)
    Btw just curious, how much water were you drinking daily on your fast ?

    Hi. I've been a raw foodist for almost two years now. I started with a juice fast and still do a brief water fast now and then. I was thinking about selecting two, maybe even three days a week and doing a water fast those days permanently. What are your thoughts on that?

    • @jeffjuices
      @jeffjuices  Před 2 lety +1

      I think it would honestly be 1000x more beneficial to just do one long water fast of atleast a few weeks. the body never really has the opportunity to eliminate deep waste deposits if your only fasting for a couple days. the longer you fast for, the deeper your body taps into elimination. fasting only 2 days you never even enter ketosis.

    I'm kinda confused, I want to get on the right path, so I follow the fruit and raw salad, a little cooked, etc and also supp with herbs from Dr Morse so I thought I was doing the do, but I don't feel better, I have some long standing issues, and feel my body is letting me down, not getting stronger. But I thought u had felt well with raw and juices and herbs, but now it seems like only a long water fast will allow the body to fully recover. Are we wasting time with the diet alone? Will we not get well? Dr Morse claims u can regenerate the body with strict diet and herbs, so now I'm kinda confused. Can u clarify a little more? Thank u.

    • @jeffjuices
      @jeffjuices  Před 2 lety +2

      I used to be bed ridden. I healed to about 80% with raw food and juicing. It saved my life. But I didn't get to 100%. Usually when that happens the only option left is to fast

    • @jeffjuices
      @jeffjuices  Před 2 lety +1

      Dr. Morse sells herbs. Herbs don't heal anything, fruit doesn't heal anything. Eating more simple, allows your body to have energy to heal itself. When you stop eating entirely, the body has 100% of its energy to heal itself instead of digesting food

    Jeff does fruit juicing increase uric acid?

    • @Jeffrobmx1
      @Jeffrobmx1 Před 2 lety

      no. absolutely not. fruit, and juicing, will help give the body easy to digest and assimilate nutrition, which will allow your body to eliminate any build up of uric acids it might have.

    • @evanh.6462
      @evanh.6462 Před 2 lety

      I had the same issue. To fix it, I first balanced my mineral levels (I was low in molybdenum and chromium. Molybdenum allowed for sulfur build up which caused issues). Then, I was able to tackle my crohns with short spurts of dry fasting. Little 3 day spouts. After 2 of them, I reintroduced raw, local, grassfed cow milk and it was the biggest game changer for my gut issues. Incredibly soothing while also making me extremely satiated and allowing me to gain weight easily depending on how much I drink.
      I didn’t tolerate raw milk for years. I introduced it a tsp at a time. Started around 4 tsp spread out the first couple days and slowly worked up to like 2 cups a day and so on. Once I got to like 2-4 cups a day, I started getting some gut related issues (shoulder pain, a little brain fog, acne) but I persisted and all of that went away like a 5 days later. I can now drink 1.5 gallons a day no problem and feel fucking amazing. Raw and grassfed are kinda key for healing gut issues though. I’m drinking milk only for the next 3 days, then fruit juice and and some enemas for a day, then a 7+ day dry fast is the goal so I can get back to digesting fat properly without fatigue. And retain my ability to digest fiber without all my symptoms returning (I’ve been fiberless for too damn long)
      Good luck!!

    • @jeffjuices
      @jeffjuices  Před 2 lety

      this is the whole reason I fasted. you wont gain weight until you fast. you need to eliminate the hard old material that is causing your mal absorption. you can fast at pretty much any weight, even anorexic people can fast, just for way less time then someone who is bigger. fasting corrects mal absorption. I have seen people start a fast of 14 days weighing 90lbs, and after thier fast they eliminated 5-7 lbs of material, then they were easily able to regain weight after this stuff was eliminated.

    • @betzib8021
      @betzib8021 Před 2 lety

      @@jeffjuices oh...I see..well thanks. But what old material? I just hD a colonoscopy. I could see pictures of my colon lining. There was just pink tissue nothing stuck there. My doc said he had done thousands of colonoscopies and endoscopic and he has never seen any material stuck anywhere...he'd seen a lot of inflammation and some precancerous and cancers...but no old fecal material...so that part isn't making sense to me. Thanks for responding...I'll give a fast a try.

    I think you might be too dogmatic about detox and healing. The body needs to build its homeostasis and adaptability. You need a wide range of food to get the wide range of prebiotics to have a flourishing and diverse bacteria and virus make up. We are like 10% human and the rest bacteria and viruses. Stay raw vegan, that's fantastic, but eat, eat, eat, and do an mono cleanse, juice fast, water fast, or whatever, every once in a blue moon...I think detox ideology gets taken too far too often. 🤷‍♂️ that's my two cents, hope it helps. The best healing starts in the mind, but when the mind is lost, the physical can refocus the intangible.
    Maybe I'm just saying what you already know, but I look forward to seeing your journey back to health and being a physically strong male that gives a good name to the rest of us raw vegans 🤙
