You cannot go wrong with Ateez, every song is a hit. They’re my favourite group. Guerrilla is definitely Top 10. My favourites are Answer, Halazia, Say My Name, Turbulence, Utopia, and Deja Vu. Would recommend watching their recent Killing Voice video. It will give you a taste of their discography and showcases their vocals. Ateez are more known for their amazing performance skills so starting off with their vocals might be nice

    ATEEZ BACKGROUND
Ateez started in 2018, but didn’t get as much publicity/perks as groups from big labels because they started from a small company called KQ that only had 10 employees when the first trainee (Hongjoong, the shorter higher pitched rapper) joined. At the time, there were no plans to launch an idol group, but a very young Hongjoong sent in a mix tape saying he wanted to be an artist that created his own music. About a year later they had him come in and start training with their in-house producer Eden. Eden is the head of KQ’s in-house production team called Edenary, which includes Hongjoong and Mingi (the deep voiced rapper that you’ve seen in other videos). Edenary produces all of ATEEZ’s songs (except maybe a couple of OST tracks they’ve done for animes and kdramas). The rest of Ateez was built around Hongjoong starting about 6 months after he joined.
    REACTOR INFO
Dance practices and stages are popular. KQ is the company they are under and are know for being pretty reactor friendly. I haven’t seen a reactor have any issues with any content from their channels (KQ Entertainment and Ateez) except for with some Japanese tracks due to different copyright restrictions.
    LORE
(you asked, but stop here if you really don’t want to know 😆)
Ateez has an entire storyline that is carried through almost all of their tracks, MVs, and live stages starting from their 2018 debut. It is pretty complex but the basics are they are a form of multidimensional, time traveling pirates (think more like underground, government overthrowing pirates than sea pirates, but they do incorporate some traditional pirate elements). There is World A (our world) and World Z (Strictland…where they are in this video). In Strictland, emotions, art, and music are banned. There is a movement to overthrow the government, which is what is happening in this video.
The MVs stand alone, but if you want to know more about where they are in the lore from this point, you can react to the related trailers and teasers along with the videos:

The bit at the end is an indication about where the next MV comes in their in universe lore - which is very complicated and involves time travel and alternate universes so unless you're very dedicated I wouldn't bother trying to understand it all.

one of my favorite groups, great song.
ATEEZ: Top song for me if Halazia. But so many great songs....They are electrifying.
There are so many good songs. Turbulence, Halazia, Answer, Wonderland, Promise, Bouncy, Cyberpunk, Thanxx, Shaboom, Deja Vu, Utopia, Black Cat Nero, Pirate King, Treasure, The Real.
And of course ATEEZ performances at Kingdom:Legendary War are all iconic. including EunKwang/JongHo and SeungMin singing Love Poem together.....

This is one of my favorite songs for sure! "Halazia" is also epic, and "Bouncy" is a lot of fun. You can count on Ateez to bring high energy, tons of drama and an epic feel to their tracks -- but also not to take themselves too seriously. I'm an even bigger fan of their little brother group xikers, but I definitely recommend checking out more ATZ!

  • @Atz8tyl

Ateez are performance masters, they are renowned for their dancing and stage presence! ( Just for inform, Ateez performed at Coachella and they will perform now in Mawazine festival in Morocco which both festivals are the biggest festivals in the world.... That's actually insane and the fact that this is only in a year soo 😵‍💫😵😦🤩.. btw they're the first fourth-generation boys group to perform in Coachella and the first kpop group to perform in Mawazine festival!!) They're a group full of talent, entertainment, competition, love, .... etc. I hope you'll check out more from them, their albums have all types of genres like hip hop, rock, wave, ballads...etc. They're my favorite band of all the bands I've ever known. (I'd just like to mention that this group, besides their amazing dancing, crazy theatrical performances and so much more, they have fantasy voices. We have Jongho the maknae (the Youngest) and for me he's one of the kings of the vocal in the entire K-pop!! You'll know how they are when you get to know them more!) some songs that I recommend, Wonderland, halazia, hala hala, win, wave, inception, answer, bouncy, crazy form, work (their last comeback) and say my name. They have also a storyline, so yeah you were right. You will often see some endings in their video because of their lore. Their concept is pirates and that's all what I can say because for me it's hard to understand their lore a little bit even though I watched many videos that explain 😭 but still I'm interested cause it's soo interesting and mysterious.
Lastly, their fandom called Atiny it's a combination of ateez + destiny...! As I said you'll know them more when you get to know them more!!
That BREAK THE WALL at the end is soooo iconic chant in kpop. It's known for screaming your lungs out.. You should react to live performances (you can react to Coachella guerrilla live performance! In Coachella, the break the wall chant could be heard across the festival grounds.. It's actually insane..!)
Finally, I really hope you're going to react more to their songs, I'm looking forward to seeing your reactions to them. You won't regret it!

for the head's up, i wouldn't look into ateez with one specific genre in mind ! they like to go way beyond and always mixing new stuff and that's why i absolutely love them. always a fun surprise whenever they come back with a new release :D
halazia + fireworks also gets your head banging !! would definitely recommend them both

First things first I've been an atiny (fan) since their debut with their song pirate king (which you shuld check out)
Secondly it's hard to pick a fav song but if I had to it would be "wonderland".
Thirdly I have 3 biases who are San, Mingi (deep voice rapper) and Seonghwa where as I have 4 wreckers now HoongJoong (aka the leader and captain), jongho, wooyoung and now yunho.
Fourthly Ateez are my 3rd ult band in the entire kpop industry.
Lastly their concept are pirates/rebels and it has been this since they debut till now

  • @bethanykettler5960
    @bethanykettler5960 Před 21 dnem +4

Ateez debuted under KQ Entertainment in 2018. KQ was a very small company and is still only considered a medium sized company. Ateez was the first group to debut under them. The success they have achieved is a testament to these boy's hard work and talent. Fandom name is Atiny.
    Members:
Hongjoong: Main rapper and Captain(leader), true artist, composer and producer, Demon Line
Seonghwa: Vocalist and Rapper, oldest and caretaker of the group, big nerd, Demon Line
Yunho: Main Dancer and Vocalist, energizer of the group, big puppy
Yeosang: Lead Dancer and Vocalist, deep voice, very reserved but savage humor
San: Lead Vocalist and Main Dancer, Performance God, mood maker, Demon Line
Mingi: Main Rapper and Main Dancer, another deep voice, reserved and sweet off-stage
Wooyoung: Main Dancer and Vocalist, Studio Choom AOTM June 21, social butterfly
Jongho: Youngest and Main Vocalist, considered the best vocalist of the 4th gen of k-pop
They all have a duality. They are monster performers on stage, but are very sweet and humble off stage. Just genuinely good people. Demon Line are the ones with the biggest duality; they look like they are possessed while performing.
Ateez has a very intense and deep lore, so you may not understand everything going on in the MVs cause they are all connected. The one's that follow Guerrilla are: Halazia, Bouncy, Crazy Form. In that order.

My favorite Ateez song is probably Halazia (or Cyberpunk, which is a B side). But I highly recommend you react to Ateez’s episode of Dingo Killing voice. If you are not familiar, on Dingo Killing Voice, artists go on and sing segments of like, 8-10 of their songs. No dancing, and absolutely no lip syncing. If they mess up, there are no do overs and it is recorded forever. The killing voice is a great way to get into a new band because you get to see a good cross section of their discography as well as what they are capable of vocally, and the personalities of their members. Other Killing Voices to check out after Ateez: Mamamoo, BtoB, and (G)I-dle.
P.S. you should be able to react to the whole thing without being blocked.

Guerrilla is my top 3 Ateez song. Answer is my first and Halazia is the second. Halazia is actually the song that comes after Guerilla and you were hearing a part of its instrumental at the end of Guerrilla there. The videos do follow a story but it's a very long one to explain and a little hard to understand when you're just watching the videos, but it's such an interesting story, i'm hooked. Ateez has nothing but good songs so you're in for a fantastic journey with them

Not always, but many times at the end of a video they put scenes of the lore of their universe, following a very interesting story, but they also use those scenes to make small spoilers about new songs. This post-credits scene in particular has the music of Halazia, a spin off that they released right after. I recommend the song, it's incredible.
Thanks for reacting to Ateez, I'm sure you'll like the group a lot 😊 I'll wait to see more reactions.

It actually isn't their logo, it is the anarchy symbol! A lot of kpop groups have lore, and Ateez is no different. They are time and dimension traveling pirates! The leader is called "Captain" instead of leader for this reason! He's the one with the split dyed hair like Todoroki, his name is Hongjoong. That laugh that you liked is his trademark, or calling card of sorts, he does it either before or in the middle of his raps.
This MV and song are HEAVILY influenced by and overall just about their lore, in which they are trying to overthrow the oppressive government in that universe (it's a long, complex storyline which there are explanation videos about if you want to check them out), so that's what the anarchy symbol is for.
