- Hi guys I hope this review is helpful if you're looking to buy the ikea vimle sofa, I loved it and I try to give you an honest review in this video of my experience.

I bought a large white trunk to store my infant niece’s stuff in czcams.com/users/postUgkxNuLbiXpLQ-mKH5NlyjrNe88hiCk2N3Cg , as she comes to my house frequently. For now, it’s toys on one side and diapers, wipes, and other baby care items on the other. As she gets older, it will be all toys. I had originally wanted a trunk with a hinged lid, but I was afraid of her smashing or pinching her fingers in it. This will be a much safer option. The lid has great padding in it and it is actually nice to sit on. It feels very sturdy and secure. Looks like it can be wiped clean easily. If it gets abused by her, I won’t be terribly upset because I paid less than $50 for it on Prime Day.

One cool thing about the vimle and only the vimle they have replacement cushions for that couch and if yours wear down you can replace them

Hi ! Did you have any trouble with the armrest on the loveseat side? The screws don't seem to align with the love seat. I thought it would be as seamless as it was to put the armrest on the chaise side.i think it can be a factory error.
Hi Magda! I don't recall having any issues attaching the arm rest, but there did seem to be multiple holes for where the arm rest could be attached, I was assuming that this was due to the fact that you can attach more seats to the sofa. But I did manage to attach the arm rest.
Hi, in terms of comfort? Are d seats firm when sat on? N not feel like u r sinking? How about d back pillows? R they good support for d back or too soft? TIA for yr reply. ☺️

I got my chairs from Home2X, they are also on Amazon, the 18'' eames style chairs. And my husband found our dinning table from an online store I can't remember, but I've seen a similar table at wayfair.com and jossandmain.
Also where did you get that rug from?

Just saw your comment, its still holding up for us, I have yet to wash the fabric in the washer, spot cleaning it has been doing the job pretty well ;)

What are your experiences with it getting dirty? I looove the couch in this colour, but I am so on the fence about buying it, because I am afraid to get it dirty really quickly.
So far my couch looks like it did the day it arrived and I have 3 kids, we don't eat on the couch though so that could be a reason why it's still clean, but then again if it did get dirty you can always wash it ;)

Do you find the back pillows fall forward or so they stay put pretty well? My current couch has pillows and they fall down all the time... drives me nuts!
How do you feel the height of the back is? It looks kind of low to me but I'm not sure if that's an issue or not.
Kyle Evjen, hi Kyle the back pillows have never fallen down since I’ve had the couch which is about two weeks now. The back of the couch has a slight edge that keeps the pillows in place
This couch now has pop up headrest you can add if it's too short for you

Hi Candy! I haven't tried, but when I ordered mine I had to specify which side I wanted the chaise on so i'm not sure if thats possible, I would assume not since that was something I had to specify beforehand. But it would be best to double check with ikea.
SincerelySaida • Really? Because the IKEA photos show the chaise on other side, and I didn’t see a “choose a side” option as I added the couch to the cart. That said, I could be wrong, ask an IKEA rep, haha.
I looked at the instructions for the Kivik (different IKEA couch), and basically there’s a bracket on the bottom that makes a hook (looks symmetrical enough to use on either side). Flip the hook and detach the arms, rearrange, and you should be good to go. End of the Kivik manual also shows different arrangements. I didn’t look at the Vimle manual, but the “arrangement customizer” for the vimle lets you put the chaise on either side, doesn’t change the part number in the “what’s included” link.
You put it on either side, it’s adjustable
I also can put my Vimle ottoman connected to either side
After a year, how it is still holding up, comfort & and durability wise
Its holding up pretty well, Ive even washed it. It gets these little piles, like an old sweater would get, but you can use a sweater trimmer to remove them or strong duct tape
Vimle armchairs are moving because screws are only on bottom side in one line. That is issue if each vimle after few months of usage.
good to know, I haven't experienced any issues with the arms yet, but I can do an updated video after a while of usage.

Very nice couch but soo expensive is it a two seat or three seat and what’s the difference because on the website it shows the same thing just different names
I would say 3 seater, they have discontinued it and are now selling a similar one but different size I'm not sure! Thank you for watching :)
I always assumed the holes in something like the chase were so air can escape more easily when you close it. Lol I have NO idea if thats true.

Hi. Thank you for the review! Does the fabric come off of the armrest and back support? I'd like to be able to wash those as well. Do you still like the couch? I have two little boys, so I need something washable and sturdy.
Hi Stefanie, yes it comes off everywhere. I so far still love it, and have never washed it even after chocolate and sauce has been on it, we have managed to get it off by spot cleaning. We don't ever eat on the couch, but with kids accidents happen and dirty hands are traveling around. I'll do an update with my experience in washing it I plan to wash all the pieces together so they can look uniformed. but the fabric is on there pretty well so it's not something I'll have to plan for.
@@Saidastiles I saw some people leaving comments about the armrest not being connected very well which makes it get loose. Did you have any trouble with that so far? Or with the mechanism of the chaise longue? Thanks so much in advance for replying!
did you get a headrest? Do they go up and down or are they permanently up? Thank you!
I don't know what you mean by headrest, but no I only got what you see in the video. The back cushions stay up, they provide a lot of support and are comfortable. I'm 5'2 and I would say when sitting up right the back goes up to maybe 3" below my shoulders. Hope that helps ;)

No not at all it’s still firm we’re on year 3 and it gets a lot of use

I have the same one, and I got mine of Wayfair for an amazing price for the giant size I got.
Its from Rugsusa, but I found mine on craigslist brand new someone got the wrong size so I got lucky. But like Emily said you can find it at other stores and the price is veery reasonable, also its easy to keep clean. Ive gotten stomped blueberries out of that rug its still flawless

Yes there is, I wouldn't say you sink into it though, but it's soft after sitting for a while for sure ;)

Right now, IKEA Canada is running a sale on sofas like this one, but even without the sale it costs fewer Canadian dollars than the US store charges USD. So, you’ve really got to look.
(For comparable couches, the Vimle costs about $50 more than the Kivik, but Kivik chaise lounges don’t have the storage compartment underneath, nor could I find single Kivik seat sections, so Vimle is more flexible).
