Great review there’s a lot of people giving their opinion on this racket but from what I have seen on here you are one of the few people that has Good enough Technique to give a professional rating and display of this racket
    Many thanks Harry

I bought this gray version of the MP for my brother last October. But for me I prefer the 98 inch head size and extra weight in the handle. I have a couple regular Pure Aeros and a Pure Aero VS and play way better with the VS. So I picked up both the gray and avocado versions of the Extreme Tour.

Adding weight to the handle works great, making it more HL and whippier :D

this stick is insane, it's a spin monster... pure aero, not even close IMO.

  • @cliveburks

I liked the Extreme MP better than the Aero which I found wooden and difficult to hit with good consistent spin. I then changed my style to keep up with hard hitting younger guys to a more flatter style I then found the Aero was great at this with tons of plough through much more than the Extreme. Complete turn around it took me some time to realise that hitting flatter used the plough through power I didn’t get this hitting loads of top spin and the Extreme was better. The Aero is much better on serve as well so if things don’t change too much I am using the aero hitting flatter with lots of penetration and less effort with the occasional big topspin shot. If you don’t find the sweet spot on the Aero the racquet vibrates and the ball moons over the net playing more with it I can find the sweet spot most of the time. Thanks

Great balanced review! I fell in love with this racquet as a 50 yr old 4.0/4.5 primarily singles player since it gave me more easy power and spin; however, as a former college and more advanced player, the light weight and stability lingered in the back of my mind, with the thought I could handle something with a little more plow through and stability. I discovered the shift 315, which if it isn’t over spec on swing weight seems like a great option for me since it solves my concerns with the extreme mp and still gives me power and spin. I hope I can handle it though in longer matches, and against hard hitting players where reaction time will be more important. Have you tried the shift? Any thoughts / feedback you’d have are appreciated!

Great racquet, fair review! In a similar vein, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Auxetic Prestige MP (or 360+ Prestige Tour) As a devout old school Prestige guy in my youth, but now in my 40s... the more forgiving Prestige model allows me to swing out with more power, more spin and still good control. It feels like a more balanced players frame and not as uncompromisingly focused on control like a Prestige Pro or classic Prestige mp

Good review. Playing a Gravity MP right now...love the control and feel but I need a bit more power. So thinking Extreme, Speed, or maybe Yonex VCore or EZone. What racquet do you consider the best all arounder? One that sits in the middle of Control, Feel, Spin, and Power?

I've been playing for 9 months. I did 15 group training sessions with a coach (groups of ~5 students) and doing another 15 sessions this fall.
I've played with the Pure Drive and I feel like I'm getting too much power and too little control.
I'm looking for a racquet with more control but not at the level of something like a Wilson Blade 98 or Head Radical (tried them both and they were too difficult to play for me event though it felt great when I hit the sweetspot with good technique).
Which stick would you recommend for me between Head Boom MP, Extreme MP and Gravity MP?
I do use a one hander some plow-through and manueverability would be appreciated.

    • @MPTennis
      @MPTennis  Před 10 měsíci +1

Just to note, I put Solinco Confidential in my new Extreme Tour the other day. Something wasn't right...I think it was a bad string job. The shots came off the racket completely dead. I immediately had them switch it out with some RPM Blast 17g I had in the bag and the racket played fine. I prefer Hyper G Soft over RPM Blast so I'll give the Confidential another try in the near future.

    I use it at 55lbs
Its difficult to review a racket when even with the same string you can make it play differently from different tensions
