"Dolly had braces" is the one that convinced me the Mandela effect is real. I watched that movie in the theater more than once, and I remember people bursting into laughter when she smiled and reveal her braces, and I clearly remember commenting with friends how funny and clever it was that they both had their mouth full of metal. I remember too much for this to be just my brain playing tricks.

The bone behind they eyes is so incredibly thin that it can be broken easily so I think that's why the old artwork depicts things going into the eye sockets. The bone is called the occipital bone and you can literally break it by just pokin ur finger thru it! The more u kno

The occipital bone is the on the back of the skull, not behind the eyes. The bone of the back of the eye is where several different bones come together(maxilla, zygomatic, palatine). All the bones together are referred to as the "orbit". It is thin and can be fractured causing all kinds of interesting and horrifying events, including allowing the eye to "pop out" as the fractured bones cannot hold it in place.

I'm not convinced of the Mandela effect, but this one is interesting, because it's the only one I experienced, but it's also different in a different way for me. I remember Pikachu's tail being pointy. And with the brown part on the upper half of the tail covering the tip instead of covering the lower half. It was not a short black tip. And it was not a yellow square shaped tip either. My younger brother had a Pikachu plushy that had the tail like this. We were not hardcore fans of Pokemon, but we still liked watching the show and I didn't notice any difference between that toy and the animated Pikachu until a long while later. I was wondering, "Why did they make this toy look different from how he looks in the show?" While we were watching it one day. We don't have the toy anymore, though. I think that maybe it was just an old version of him or something.

But because PCH is more famously known, our whole lives we've heard things like "well maybe ed McMahon will show up to your door with a giant publisher's clearinghouse check!" I went to the cinema to see Moonraker when it came out & I *Distinctly* recall "Dolly" grinning back at "Jaws" and revealing her metal braces, thus the two characters had an instant & quirky connection.
In case anyone thinks this is "Misremembering" - there was even an ad for Visa Credit Card at the time that Richard Kiel (Jaws) appeared in:
    - He grins his metal grin at the restaurant receptionist. She grins back revealing
 Metal Braces!
Only now, in the movie "Moonraker", "Dolly" no longer has metal braces, removing the connection she instantly had with "Jaws".
Also: People *Distinctly* recall the original movie "Lassie" with Roddie MacDowell as "Timmy".
    - In the movie, *Timmy* falls down the well. Lassie runs for help, alerts people by barking, and leads them to the well, rescuing Timmy.
    - It is a story-line highlighting the obvious connection between Human and Dog & the Unconditional Love that Dogs have for us.
Now: *Lassie* falls down the friggin' well - *Timmy* runs for help - which is completely arse-backwards!

I think that part of the dark eye socket thing is due to old art. For a lot of our history, most of the human skulls people would see would be exhumed ones (from graves and so on) as opposed to professionally prepared specimens. The bone in the back of the sockets isn't all that thick, and is easily damaged or lost with rough handling or time (like the nasal bones, which are also often missing) . Add on that, in the days of early anatomy preparation, knocking out the socket bones was a good way to make space to get the brain matter out. So you have a lot of old art students working from damaged skulls, and not knowing better.
