Vanagon Oil Pressure test take 2

  • Manual Oil Pressure test on Vanagon 2.1 with 153,000 miles on it... Oil pressure warning light and buzzer is going off above 2000 RPM thus I wanted to check it manually.
    Bought gauge for 16$ and change at NAPA and installed temporarily attached to pressure sensor port near pushrod tubes on drivers side.
    This time with straight straight SAE50 weight and 1 quart of Lucas Oil stabilizer replacing 1 quart of required oil. Did this to try and increase oil pressure and make this engine last a little longer till I can afford a subaru conversion.

    What he did to fix the problem was put a Subaru engine and drivetrain in it. Problem solved.

    mostly clogged oil pump intake tube
