- An interview with Stephen Harrison the man behind Harrison Advanced Rods , one of Britian's top carp rod designers and builders. Harrison's use very high spec. carbon fiber to produce a whole range of rods and blanks, from fly rods through to lure rods. I first came across their rods after stopping to chat to a guy fishing for bass on a welsh beach with lures, he was raving about it and after he let me throw a couple of lures with it I understood why. The rod just did its job in an effortless way almost like an extension of my arm, the lightness, action and the retrieve felt a bit something i should have always been doing. www.harrisonrods.co.uk/

A beautiful testament to the art and the artist's passion. Thank you
Wow just seeing this out of the box czcams.com/users/postUgkxQr1yd4Zc6qJF-scTB6Zb9dQbVpviuRxB recommend I have yet to fish with this set up, but based on the first hands on appeal, I can tell this is going to change the way i pack and carry to a whole new level. If you fish like i do, you know the smaller and less stuff the better. I’ve added a photo of just some of my gear so you can see how serious i am about fishing.
what a great story, wish you good luck in the future Harrison rods
Very professionally shot and assembled video I have to say. Well done

Love the people with passion for what they do in life
Great video and envious craftsmanship
I enjoyed watching your video and the passion of creation. I might not know the technology of building the rod still but feel so good to watch the process of making something outta nothing. Magnificent craftsmanship. Looking forward to watch more.....
A lovely video. The passion, ability and commitment of this guy comes across brilliantly- a simple guy, doing something he loves, and turning out wonderful products. Fair play to him, he deserves every penny he gets. I'm privileged to have seen the video, and many thanks. :-)
Beautiful video. it's great to see behind the scenes of a factory of that kind. craftsmanship at it's finest. Thx for sharing Paul.
might have to go back there again some time
I Think This Must Be The Third Time I've Watched This Brilliant Production, I Never Tire Of The Fact That Within Such A Short Piece You Manage To Include Some Much Content, I'll No Doubt Be Back To Watch It Again, "Great Work, Well Done"
What a wonderful story. Expertly filmed (as usual), broadcast-quality production values, kudos.
It's truly amazing, thank you (Stephen).
Pure art thanks for sharing that Paul
It's really mild and soothing tone .. something to do with a peace of mind..lovely...🤗🤗
great to see the promotion of Harrison rods been building fly rod on their blanks for year as many other high end rod builders have. Top quality video excellent content as always
touching to see him sticking it out. Well done Harrison. Although I won't likely see one of your rods let alone own one, I commend you for doing it the right way, your way.
I love watching and learning of people who do their very best to follow their dreams, and become experts at living..... this also reminds me in an odd sort of way of Gary Loomis, and I will be looking at Harrison Rods this year. I would love to have one . Thanks for your video...🙏👌💯
One of the best videos I've watched on CZcams in a long time. Shows the tenacity a man had to succeed and he did it based on quality. Very well done.
Bravo Paul odlican i koristan video,, svaka cast!!!
Pozdrav

These Harrison rods are the go to rod for the type of Salmon out of the surf here in NZ. The 12' or 13' blanks with the low mount reel seats and the potential for long casting is what makes them so good. It was real good to come across this clip.
just watched the video just Amazed of your passion you put towards making a fishing rod
My goodness. Another first class video. Thanks.
Very cool video. Great cinematography as well (per usual). Keep up the great work!!
Very intelligent and skilful craftsmen, beautifully hand made rods.
This video makes me appreciate my blanks even more. Love this video.
thank you for another awesome video, it's interesting to see how a rod was build.
I have said it before, but absoluteley amazing video. I dont think some people realize how much time and expertise goes into a video like that. Keep it up and ill look forward to the next video as always.

It is a pity that the video is very short. I really like to watch your video.

Congratulations Paul, great video! I admire your love about our very best loving sport!
Kyriakos Ellinas It was great to see other people working with hands and really caring about what they were doing.
***** that is because of the love they have for fishing. Most of us do it as fishermen in a simpler way.
Always enjoy your videos. They have been encouraging and helpful. Lately very entertaining. I will be looking into having one of these beautiful rods sent across the pond. Thank you for sharing your mutual passion of the fishing life style.
Mike Derrick They make amazing rods, but they also put a lot of time and effort in to research and testing, currently they are working with a top Uk university on carbon fiber technology.
Nice Video, I've had a harrison rod now thats around 15 years old, a 1 1/4 TC 11ft ballista, still the best tench rod I've ever had.

such an art, great video
Nice vid, I fish with a set of 3 Harrison Balista’s from around 1990/91, custom built. Can honestly say they are the best rods I’ve ever used in 35 years of carping. Wouldn’t part with them for anything else on the market today.🎣🎣
Thank you PAUL
Love to have one them handcrafted fishing rods... topwater redfish lower laguna madre spi. Light action please with cork handle.
Wao so inspirable I wish I could make a fishing rod production at my home. After watching this promo I am incauraged more hopefully I learn more and start a small business making and selling rods.

Аз съм запален риболовец и за мен беше голямо удоволствие да видя как се изработва един от водещите брандове . Благодаря ви !

Me thinks you're a good man Paul Adams. Thanks for all your videos.
Wow its very nice work sir ilove it
I now have seven Harrison rods, a set three Multi-carp 2lb test curve rods, a set of three Acurix 2 3/4lb test curve rods and 1 3/4 test curve Avon rod. All hand-built by York rod builder Chas Burns. All beautiful to look at, strong, and wonderfully responsive. I have just ordered a set of three Aviator Pluses for long distance situations.
What a collection, hopefully I will be back there soon doing a bit more filming, thanks
best rod building video ever.
Hey Paul, have watched many, many of your videos. You are simply great at what you do. Wish I had your talent. I have learned a lot from watching your videos. This one was really good as well. Thanks for sharing and keep'em coming.
Gene Grisson
Frost, Texas
Gene Grissom Thanks, i think i learnt a huge amount making this video about filming other people and to be honest the guys and girls at Harrison's made it very easy.
By far the best rod maker in the UK,
Great job man.
Thanks for making this short but very interesting film, also a big thanks must go to Harrison's for letting you in, in the first place.
What a great finished article too, they look absolutely stunning, would i be correct in saying that they were carp rods ??
Us Angler's are always on the lookout for the next rod 👀 aren't we, and hoping to avoid the grief from e'r indoors 😳.
Always interesting to see something in production processes.
Cheers 🍻
Great work.
so poetic, thanks for the video mate..\m/
Enjoyed the vid muchly. Shared on Facebook with a hint that Christmas is only 309 days away.
kingklabe Why wait for someone else's birthday I say, thanks
Brilliant Video ,
Nice story,nice job you don!!!!👍🇩🇰
Inspired to follow my passion of rod building
+GarryAugustine Good Luck
Quality of the video matches the quality of the rods - well done indeed Paul.
*Sadly goes back to his builder's line tied to a lump of wood..*
I suspect the pollock don't know what it is on the other end of the line from your feather rig, i guess they are thinking your holding a nice piece of carbon fiber and a gold plated Fin Nor reel and that is why they are throwing themselves at you.
You all probably dont care at all but does someone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account..?
I stupidly lost the account password. I love any assistance you can offer me.
@Karsyn Braydon instablaster =)
@Darren Vincenzo I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im trying it out now.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
