The laymen in that environment seem like ordinary Muslims that practice what they can but aren't taught to refer to Quran and sunnah for guidance but just memorize which is wrong. Quran says to reflect. Which brings me to the point, I was a student imam in this masjid and there was alot of deviance like denying Allah's attributes, that's just wrong. This sect started due to a defeatist mentality when debating others, and even today they, the jahmi Asharis are going further down the rabbit hole to accept certain parts of evolution contradicting the Quran and Sunnah. This is the type of going backwards that would of been prevented if we as Muslims would study under Sunni imams and learn Islam or Quran in context over these lazy imams that want us to listen and not questions many times because it would expose they are on man made bida that divides away from Quran and Sunnah and unity. Manhaj means method, has to do with understanding Quran and sunnah how the sahabas understood then giving dawa with priorities of sunna like pillars (Hadith Muadh to Yemen), from most important to least to gain more then you lose every step, then learn usul or principles that help you understand other general rules or acts etc. (like everything in dunya is halal until proven haram - Quran 6 :119 or 145 & everything in din is haram until proven halal - hadith Aisha in 40 hadith nawawi etc.) If that is what you are asking hope that helps.

Minhaji comes from a jahmi Ashari ideology. I was raised in that environment. The laymen in that environment seem like ordinary Muslims that practice what they can but aren't taught to refer to Quran and sunnah for guidance but just memorize which is wrong. Quran says to reflect.
Which brings me to the point, I was a student imam in this masjid and there was alot of deviance like denying Allah's attributes, that's just wrong. This sect started due to a defeatist mentality when debating others, and even today they, the jahmi Asharis are going further down the rabbit hole to accept certain parts of evolution contradicting the Quran and Sunnah.
This is the type of going backwards that would of been prevented if we as Muslims would study under Sunni imams and learn Islam or Quran in context over these lazy imams that want us to listen and not questions many times because it would expose they are on man made bida that divides away from Quran and Sunnah and unity. It creates a consumer Islam without thinking and then they wonder why we are a consumer ummah outside of secular studies.
