    You are so comfortable coming out of those step dives so close to the ground. I dont have the Balsz to do that. haha So smooth on the sticks and your camera person deserves a trophy. I am a fan and watch these multiple times. My favorite RC channel now. Like I said before I would love to hear you do commentary as you fly also.

      Thank you Brad!
      One should definitely not fly too much outside of his comfort zone unless you are actually practicing at a safe altitude, so your approach is correct! :)
      It's more about proper learning curves than actual balls. If you just become ballsy, you'll be crashing left and right, so one has to work its way up to be able to perform these maneuvers under full control. :)
      It's true that pushing oneself is the way to learn and improve, but should always be done in a safe, responsible manner. My advice is always to push yourself at high altitudes, so you can get comfortable. Then the more you fly the same maneuver, the more used you get to flying it and eventually you have enough control to start lowering your execution altitude within reasonable safety margins. :)
      I certainly didn't start flying those maneuvers so low... but over the years, as I kept flying and pushing myself I found it easier to fly low without putting the jet in particular danger. Will really need to work on commentary videos, it's truly a pending subject for me... I have some talking videos but they are few and far-spaced out... then again, it takes a lot more work but will try and do more! ^^
      Thanks!

    I'm trying to decide between eurofighter 8s vs the J-10 8s, what's your thoughts on that?

    • @RC4ever
      @RC4ever  Před 20 dny +1

      I haven't flown the J-10 yet but I am partial to the Euro because I love its design. The new J-10 has a few pros over the Euro though... namely the fact that it features full span elevons! Both are great flyers, so whatever you pick, you are likely to enjoy it ;)

      Thank you Captain! :D
      Dad shoots my vids with a GH5 nowadays, but mind that part of the trick is that I spend hours in post-processing, stabilizing the footage, that's why it looks so smooth ;)

    • @captnjim.
      @captnjim. Před 6 měsíci +1

      Are you doing it in Premiere manually with scale and pan, or with a video effect? (It doesn't really feel like warp stabilization.)@@RC4ever

    • @RC4ever
      @RC4ever  Před 6 měsíci +1

      @captnjim. I edit in DaVinci Resolve. I track the plane which is a semi-automatic process (but I need to constantly redraw tracking masks) and compute stabilization from there. Sadly, this rarely can cover a whole video without interruption, so I'm forced to make the transitions manually, literally aligning footage frame by frame where needed. It's quite some work...

    That is impressive flying. Are you using a separate gyro just for the canards?

    • @RC4ever
      @RC4ever  Před 6 měsíci

      Thanks!
      I usually do, and for this one time I tried to stick to a single gyro for everything to test and compare... stabilization-wise it works fine, as expected, but there are a few things that I prefer from my standalone-gyro-on-canards setups, so I will probably end up installing one, eventually.

    Stunning man! Love the high alpha! How do you like it with full ordinance?

    • @RC4ever
      @RC4ever  Před 6 měsíci +2

      Actually, kinda better than without! Besides the obvious visual appeal, it helps shift CG back and adds a bit of extra lift, making the jet even more stable and floaty, so easier to high alpha. Evidently, it comes with a drag penalty, but it is assumable unless you are a high speed nut and nothing else matters to you... 😁

    May I know What kind of gyro do u recommend?

    • @RC4ever
      @RC4ever  Před 6 měsíci

      So far I managed to get by without adding ballast by installing one 4S pack under the airbrake, removing the pilot figure and using the ordnance, but guess I'll eventually have to... as for gyros, well, I've had good experiences with HobbyEagle A3S3, A3S4 and A3Mini. I also used a lot of EagleTree Guardians and GWS PG-03 for standalone canard operation too, but these are sadly discontinued. Right now I'm using Jeti's stabilized Rex12A receiver. AS3X should be good too from what I've seen if you are a Spektrum user (not a fan). And if you have money to burn, a Bavarian Demon Cortex Pro or Powerbox iGyro can't hurt, haha... :D

      No money Lool
      I already removed pilot figure as u told me earlier
      My cg is 35mm behind mark but still it’s too fast for landing and I feel still nose heavy
      I wonder how could u put a 4s all the way under airbrake
      I could only put half of the 4s under airbrake
      I’m going to order gyro right away
      And I’ll pitch canard 2mm down as u said

    • @RC4ever
      @RC4ever  Před 6 měsíci

      @shahram677 What battery are you using? To slide a 4S pack under the airbrake you need to clean the space from wires as good as possible first, passing them all together, orderly through the side and/or ceiling. With that CG you are using you should be able to land pretty slow in high alpha though.
