The first guy really looked like a nice and great guy. He just grew up ignorant, which isn’t his fault. Thats all. As soon as he was confronted with the family’s difficult lifestyle, it clicked with him almost immediately
I felt the exact same way! I thought he was actually very kind and seemed to take everything seriously

Fun fact… I moved to London and this family moved flats and we actually ended up living in the same building complex !! Small world 5. I made a TikTok explaining how coincidental that is and somehow nearly got cancelled as ppl thought I was ‘poor shaming’… can’t win ahahaha

@@MrDylanm842 nah my mum has always worn gloves to cook chicken for bacteria purposes and the fact it feels awful, also in most restaurants it's a requirement to wear gloves while handling chicken
After watch all 3 episodes, it's pretty obvious that you were the most down to earth and the producers had to fish for things to make you look like the 'out of touch rich kid'

the difference between some of these kids; last chick got her a voucher for a salon, whereas on another episode, the "rich kid" got their family a laptop in order to support the mum in her degree to progress her employment

the first guy was so sweet, i love how he literally bought a table and chairs for them and put the time and effort into putting it together, and you could tell he genuinely liked the family and cared about them

12:58 this conversation gave me a chuckle. I’m in the US and most “normal” houses have a bathtub that also has a shower head so it does both functions. Bigger houses with a master bathroom in the master bedroom will often have a stand up shower and then a big soaking size tub or jacuzzi. My last place was a house that had been renovated to 2 apartments, 1 on the ground level and one on the second floor with its own exterior porch and entrance. It wasn’t anything big, no master bedrooms and honestly the layout was a disaster so the bathroom had to be one as well. You walked in and there’s a 2ft-2.5ft hallway leading you directly to the sink and mirror, at the end of the wall it goes to the right and there’s a toilet. Between the toilet and sink though there’s another space, like a hallway again but instead of walls 1 side was a stand up shower, the other side a regular old tub. One person could shower and one could take a bath at the same time. I thought it was the dumbest thing until I had my niece over for a slumber party with my son. After a fun day at the beach it made bedtime soooo much easier being able to let them shower/bathe at the same time. The shower door was frosted and textured so you couldn’t see in it so I didn’t mind letting my son as a little kid while I showered. It ended up being a fun little quirk but the layout/reason/function still makes no sense to me. The landlord actually sold it after a few years of me living there and the new landlord let us stay for a couple more but he eventually wanted to remodel it and didn’t renew our lease. It needed it. I woke up one morning to find literal mushrooms growing out of my baseboard heating bc the floor was so rotted snd the ventilation was awful. Black mold on the ceiling if I didn’t bleach it weekly and mushrooms on the floor. Lovely bathroom haha
Edit to add: my friend had that sofa right after too. It’s as comfy as you’d imagine. It’s as wide as a twin size bed so you have a lot of room and the armrest isn’t too high or hard that it hurts your neck when you lay on it haha many a nights spent on that sofa

"Obviously now its direct debit" not true, if you are low income, have trouble paying your bills etc, they can force you onto pay as you go. Plenty of people still have PAYG meters in their house, which is really insane considering these meters have higher per unit energy costs. So if you are broke, they'll put you onto it and then charge you more for less. Also tough shit if you move into a house that already had one before you because getting it changed back out is a NIGHTMARE.

If you're literally forced to go to the shop to get your power on, have a look at switching. Not worth the stress. Lots of places will even have an auto-top-up which makes life a lot easier.

Me and my friend recently rediscovered Jungle Buzz after like over a decade and I'm glad its now part of the George Memeulous lore.
The comment about eating on the floor resurfaced a memory for me. I went to someone’s house as a daycare kind of thing as a kid a few times. I wasn’t the youngest kid there but there were older kids, so I was probably around 10-ish.
I don’t remember much except for it was an old woman, there were like 6-10 other kids, and she made all of the young kids including me eat sitting on the floor. The dining table only had 4 chairs and was pretty high so I guess it’s either everyone or no one for eating at a table.
It’s just kind of a weird memory. Just eating sitting on the floor with a paper plate, then I just sat there doing nothing as the younger kids had a nap. It was odd.
I hope George is actually doing okay, he’s doing a lot of these videos (and if he’s managing okay then that’s completely fine) but also some of the jokes have resinated with me as they are similar jokes I make to dodge around my substance issues
Some local corner shops will stock other supermarket brands food, my nans local is a little corner shop and they stock coop food (mainly there microwave meals) because the nearest supermarket is over 15mins away driving, idk how legal it is but I've seen it a few times 😂

We only seem to have generic battered sausage in the UK. The amount of weird foods you can get battered here increases the further north you go. Mars bars, pineapple fritters, scraps (just bits of batter), pea fritters
