Me listening in at 37:00 and my husband proposed to me on Christmas Eve 😭 Ive had someone tell me “That’s so basic” after I tell them how I got proposed too. It used to bother me but I thought it was super special because it was during a very significant time of my life (with other stuff happening) plus like Josh said, both of our families were there and it was beautiful ❤️
I hear you girlie. My husband proposed to me as well on Christmas Eve. My family always celebrates the 24th and then we celebrate Christmas Day at his families AND my birthday is the 26th.People can call it basic but trust me it was a memorable Christmas/ Birthday. Intimate with just our families. And it’s not our anniversary lol we have our dating and wedding anniversary that’s it. Christmas is my favorite time of year and have no negative feelings at ALL of when he chose to propose 💍

I think it’s great that you both were willing to talk about the flexing on social media and be completely candid. There is a difference between being sympathetic and empathetic. Empathy means putting yourself in Roger people’s shoes and being vulnerable enough to experience what they are experiencing. I’ve spent the past 3 Christmas’s in Mexico with my family from there because navidad there is soo different and in my opinion, what it should be about. It’s about eating good food and spending the evening together as a family. No presents involved besides aguinaldos for the kids and a piñata which we all get to hit. I love spending Christmas in Mexico, not materialistic at all.
