This was the first video i watched of Doug reviewing a car and ever since that day, I never stopped watching his reviews. What i appreciate the most is the length of the details he goes into which other youtubers or any tv presenters don't do at all. I'm a fan of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, but most of their reviews are flashy, not enough details.

As much as I love this car as it is I would think it should be closer to 220k by of the gauge cluster ..everything else is great especially the stitching and the gauge panel glass. Different and distinct.
that burgandy is a fine colour Mr D. the stitch work and patterns on the configurator as stunning with the graphics package on carbon diffuser so many colours.

Years ago I had a Mercedes CLK500 Convertible. The roll “cage” was the same way but would often eject when at high speeds and rise in the road that caused the car to get light.
Is it wrong that I kinda liked the convertible operation? :)

its not bad, but if I paid $350k for a car that is supposed to be the bridge between "luxury and performance" Id be a bit disappointed about the luxury side.
totally agree....steering wheel design looks like something from 2 generations ago, interior just looks outdated and bland, especially at that pricepoint and for a luxury car maker. The button design is low rent, the flow of the dash is also a bit too old school, and this car's performance doesn't make up for it in the segment. In reality it feels like you're paying for a pretty car leveraging the aston name but not really innovating.

Personally I think the interior is a bit.... crap to be honest, but damn is it a gorgeous car to look at.
choosumfat i completely agree, for a base price of 300k the interior is bland and kinda crappy, the engine is also underpowered as well. this car is priced at least 100k more than what it should be. hell, a 200k huracan has better interior than this junk, faster engine too. if you really need speed AND luxary for 350k you could get an S class and the huracan for the same money all while having a better experience when you drive each of them.

Back seats are for your bag, easier than chucking it in the boot.

MrPaukann it’s a pain in the ass to maintain man. I had a convertible and you had to watch for birds poopin on your soft top. (Pretty much ruins the top if left there)... Another fun thing is the sun is thy enemy when it comes to soft tops. Also a typical convertible is heavier than a regular car because of the hydraulics system that makes the top go up and down, and the part associated with it.

So... how do you get the "Emotion Control Unit" _out_ of that slot when you're done having your emotions controlled? Is it like a pushbutton on an old-timey hi-fi receiver? Push it again and it pops out when you let go?
Also, it's neat that you can see the exploding roll bars when the tonneau is open for deployment/retraction of the roof.

Hi Doug - My theory (for what it's worth) on the whole "utterly unusable back seat in the sports car" thing - I have driven sedans all my life, and feel really cramped when I get into a sports coupe with the back wall right behind me. The "back seats" in the Vanquish (and others) might be practically unusable, but give the driver the feeling of having room behind them, and therefore more appealing to an old goat who has driven sedans all his life (besides, you have to put the gym bag somewhere). It's kind of why I hope we might get a Mazda RX9 someday - The RX8 had that pokey little back seat (we won't talk about the quirky reverse opening rear doors).
