I have a few theories on the entire "TD talking" thing.
Any time she may be seen talking, she could be mouthing words or not saying anything at all, just making facial expressions. She's always seen "talking" around others when they're talking, so you guys may only be hearing everyone else talk.

Pre-split teardrop was pretty boring and she never got much time to shine in post split either. I think the decision to let her compete in tpot for a bit was so worth it and it really improved her so much as a character
