This week is the fourth video in our NEW Backdate 911 Widebody Build Series! In this episode, we fabricate bumper brackets, do some clay design work, and shape the flare extensions out of metal for the front bumper. Our goal with our videos is to document the process, share what we know and also provide entertainment along the way. If you enjoyed this week's video, please drop a like so we can continue to keep growing and afford to increase quality, have longer videos, and eventually be able to do two videos a week!
Thanks for your support, friends!

Let’s call it BABY GOT BACKDATE 😉
This shop is the Disneyland of fabrication. Excellent work and thanks for explaining the tools and process that you're doing.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much for the tshirt guys! I’m over the moon about it. Love your channel. Keep up the awesome work.
It would be really cool if you could make a series explaining the basics of sheet metal fabrication. Love the vids!
+1 on this. I’d also like a run through of what metal working tools you recommend for the enthusiast
I third this.
That was some impressive metal work 👍I have a new favorite how to car channel 😁
The fact that all of you guys' tools are all developing faces makes me see faces on even the tools that do not yet have faces drawn on them, and I like it!
I'd call it the throwback Porsche
You should definitely be making moles for these cars. I would definitely get them. I do have a 928 and a 911.
You are doing a Awesome job.🙂🙂🙂
That looks great
Thank you!
I really don't know how I was find you? But you, guys, you make wonderful job.

Retro 911 or the Throw-back 911. maybe the 'Old Soul' its more mature for its age LOL
It’s a play on Back to the Future…going back to a previous generation with the future generation

if you make anything that needs a break with larger gauge metal incorporate slots on the bend line and then it folds/forms with no effort and then when it is folded/formed to your desired shape weld the slots up and voila perfection
that's how I modified my friends exhaust system when he did an H2B swap. We only had an OEM header that was already butchered from cracking and breaking, so I just did a bunch of slots on the inside radius of the header, bent it so it was level, then welded it all up. Turned out pretty good considering my welding/metal work knowledge was super bare minimum so I just had to go by what sounded like it would work easiest without being a disgusting looking mess.
Great progress
Love your work. Sell me the sunroof parts, I need them !!
Call it Carlos
Hi where do i get that automotive clay from ? Looking for like 1 or 2 ice cream buckets for each fender flare and then fiber glass over it. thanks.

Title it: Beetle 911 Project
Why not RetroSR? Because it's going to look similar to the 73-ish RS/RSR 911's.....
I was wondering why you didn't score the line for the bend and weld it up after but it seems someone already mentioned that.
Call it the 911WBBD😂
