Caro Kann made EASY - A Starter Pack!!

8:08 after white blocks his queen with the knight, can’t we just take the central pawn on d4 with our knight and recapture with our queen?

I looked at this line and it doesn't look nice because after knight takes the pawn there's Rb1 attacking the queen and winning the b7 pawn (12...Nxd4 13.Rb1 Qc3 14.Bxd4 Qxd4 15.Rxb7). The engine gives +1.5 for white in this position.
