I just realised that orisa essentially deploys a mini rein, and can also deploy a mini roadhog. And her ULT is a super powered mini mercy

So basicaly Orisa has: Alot of armor, Dvas primary weapon with less spread and alot more range + a clip, half of winstons dome, a mini graviton surge, temporary bastions ironclad passive and aoe mercy damage buff.

No, she has the same armor as DVa and half the hit points. Her weapon at super close range does about the same damage as DVa but it's not hit scan so it becomes hard to hit mobile targets at distance. Overall I would say Orisa's gun has a significantly longer effective range as DVa in most situations.
so can orisa lift an enemy reinhardt with that gravity thingy, so your ally reinhardt can earthshatter under his shield?

it also combos well with widowmaker to give her easy kills.

What happens when sombra hacks the ultimate.
The Amazing Athiest From what I can tell when Sombra hacks the supercharger, the damage buff swaps sides however the team it originally belonged to will be unable to destroy it. I may be wrong though.
It just disables it like a torb turret it just doesn't do anything when hacked
I think it just disables it.
Nothing special, Orisa's abilities get disabled like everybody else, but if Renforce is active, it keeps going normally. After that, Orisa stay hacked for the normal duration.
She is able to hack her ultimate, but she cant hack fortitude while it is active.
No mention of how her barrier cooldown works? It can technically be up at all times. The cd counts down during its deployment, meaning if the barrier is not destroyed, she can just drop another one down before it disappears. If you look at winstons barrier, its cd only begins after the barrier is destroyed or expires. I'm expecting a change to one of these two barriers to be more consistent, but don't know in what way.

Lasts 20sec (or till destroyed) 12sec cooldown. So yes, you can re-deploy the shield if it wasn't shattered before its 20sec duration ends.
Her ult range is almost 50 meters, am i right?

This is honestly the best hero release for so far
She feels very balanced and just niche enough to not be overpowered
Unique abilities, fun to play
But hey I could be wrong and maybe she'll end up being incredibly OP
Just like when Ana and Sombra where released, people are ALREADY complaining... sheesh.
I think she is a much needed hero right now. For so long Rienheart was a must pick. If by chance you didn't get a Rienheart main on your team your chances for winning deplete. This will give more opportunities for people to main her, and use her instead of Rienheart. I personally think she has very useful abilities when used correctly. She is definitely going to shake things up and make the game feel fresh again. 👌👍

Yeah, but you'd need it to be above it; it wouldn't work if you shot into the well, since there's no line of sight.

yeah but like zarya's ult be careful of genii's because he will team kill your team deflecting them. He literally needs to deflect it and ult and everyone is pretty much dead
I really like her, I might become an Orisa main. Played just 1 game with her on the PTR and really liked what she brought to her team as a tank. Abilities have some learning curve for sure, but they are powerful.
I just realized that Orisa's ability "halt", will be a very potent environmental weapon on cliffs. It has a big range and pulls in MULTIPLE enemies. And it's much more easy to control.
cant wait to see montages of orisa throwing entire teams off the map with her alt fire

Fun fact. Orisa could technically be considered an OR-16A, or an ORIGA... which is the group that does "Ghost in the Shell" intro music "Inner Universe" and "Rise." ORISA is an homage to ORIGA and the GITS series that revolves around similar issues of machines becoming sentient life forms.
Reminds me of Ruckus' primary fire with a Barik barricade. Looks like fun and can't wait to try her when she goes live.

Orisa's ultimate also stacks with Ana's Nano boost as well, giving her or any ally that gets nano boosted a 100% damage increase. An ulting Genji or Solider would wipe the entire team in the blink of an eye.
Her alternate fire is a game changer. Imagine how many fortifications on highground will be destroyed with it. Specially on maps like eichenwalde after the first capture. People fortify on highground. Now a mini blackhole will drop them all down. Positioning will have to change. I'm really interested to see what happens.
Got to play her a bit on the PTR earlier and she's a blast. Can't wait for her to go live. :D
That design is not very appealing, her playstyle doesn't seem like it'll suit me, and I would rather have Doomfist.
There's one good thing about her though:
She's gonna shake things up.
The Great Oz I do like her, but I agree with that I would rather have doomfist, he will probably be the next one after Orisa

This is a game changer for sure
A lot of people are going off on her for a shitty design, but I really like it. It's unique, and I do like the skins, the only thing is that some of them look extremely busy and forced
Genji can deflect ulti or shield?
Unreal Shadow Ulti I doubt same goes for the shield. He may be able to deflect her right click though.

I played Genji in one game and successfully deflected the right click. It was a huge discovery for me for some reason XD Gotta try deflecting that shield some time
Genji can deflect all projectiles so I'm assuming he can deflect her shield before it touches the ground since it's a thrown object like tracers ult or meis ult.
He can't deflect the shield. It's been tested.

Orisa is probably the most interesting hero I've seen so far. Her kit seems pretty balanced, needing only minor adjustments before going to live.
orisa+ bastion on a payload sounds unstoppable. think about it. she can body block with fortify, shield him constantly, put her ult next to him and drag people near him.
While I can't see her being played on attack, I think she might be a very cool hero to play on defence. Seems like a good addition to the cast.
I have a feeling that we will see a lot of Barriers once Orisa comes into the game. Reinhart, Dva, Orisa, and Winston will all get played a lot, and there will be 2-3 barriers on every team. This means Tracer, Reaper, and Sombra should be strong offensive choices. I'm worried about Zarya and Roadhog though, it seems like they will be pushed out by the other 4 tanks, since they don't have barriers. Zarya's bubbles are kind of different, they're not a traditional barrier.

What I am concerned with in her kit is that she has a barrier that is not as covering as Winston's bubble, but can take almost double the damage while being harder to hit and destroy (size is actually detrimental). She has damage reduction stronger than what Ana can give, she has a pull similar to Zaryas ultimate but obviously smaller in effect and Orisa has a team damage boost similar to what Mercy can do on individual target.
So then my question is: What reason is there to use some of these other heroes? Obviously Mercy is not a damage booster and Winston isn't a bubble protector. Far from it. But I find myself asking these questions because some of these things that other heroes like Mercy and Winston do, Orisa does better.
I love the new hero, it fits my playstyle wonderfully.
I hope they make it so the ult on her back actually moves of her back when she ults... that's really annoying my lol

As a tracer main I can tell you that the graviton charge paired with pulse bomb is going to be AMAZING

The only thing I don't like about this hero is the visual effect of the Ultimate. All those beams are too visually disrupting and they make it easy for the enemy team to pinpoint it's exact location. The drum already stands out enough, it doesn't need a bunch of glowing neon arrows pointing toward it.
Mini rein shield, mini zayra ult, aoe mercy damage boost, cc immunity, high health pool, decent damage, seems balanced.
Ilios's map with the hole in the middle will be so much fun now
People still saying they would rather have doomfist, smh, how can you compare if there is nothing to compare to? we dont even know a single ability.

The Batter Jeff once said that defence heroes are designed to kill/harrass enemies within the point. Doomfist is melee so it can happen.
Those, who were upset that Doomfist wasn't included now: he WILL be included next. Watch bio video of Orisa, and u begin to understand, who will be next hero after this.

This hero seems really well designed in a way that it seems to have a great skill ceiling when you play it.
Maybe blizzard you could have given D.Va these fusion drivers(or a variation of them with some tweaks to their damage maybe) or the fortify ability to make her more viable but no,we get a new tank with so much versatility it's insane.

Despite having all of these powerful abilities and utility I still think she's fairly balanced. Pharah makes quick work of her since Orisas gun fires projectiles, which are relatively easy to dodge as Pharah. Her rockets take her down pretty easily. I was playing no limits in the PTR and absolutely wrecking the Orisa stacks. Sombra is also a really good counter, as her SMG breaks Orisas shield in like 2 seconds while her hack completely gets rid of all of her utility. All in all, her 400 health with only 900 on the shield and a 4 second ability means she's still squishier than Reinhardt.
Ult can also be hacked by sombra to completeley disable it.

ForGlory Scrubs how does someone that plays Overwatch not know about the PTR?? The console players were always mad because of the PTR. Everyone in the console knows about the PTR. Unless he's a 10-year old or just got the game a week ago
dont forget that it looks like that if u throw someone off the edge with "Halt!" it doesnt give u ult charge and doesnt count as elim unlike pharahs e. Could be a bug.

That being OR15 and Axium, so it'd be OR15A(xium) which then becomes Orisa.

Bastion changes make a lot more sense with this hero coming into the game.
I think they messed up with that fortify ability. If when she is fortified she becomes a shield that would be dope. So if you're behind an osiris that has fortify up when a reinhardt ults then you don't get knocked down or take damage.

Seems to me like this is also a big reason for Sombra to penetrate the meta. Orisa has a massive hitbox, and suffers greatly for being hacked.
This new hero is like a little mix of all the current tanks.

@Force Is there anything you can do about the length of the ads playing before your videos? I've seen it with other too, I get ads of 3/5/10++ minutes long, sometimes longer than the video itself, I have no issue to watching a 30 second video, maybe 1 minute, but an ad as long as a music video or even a short show? It is ridiculous.

the real question I have is if the pull effect on her alt fire will pull someone through a shield, such as a rein. If so, she is going to be the destroyer of choke point holds.

keep in mind Fortify also grants immunity to sleep darts
straw hat and freezing, flashbangs, hooks, charges, etc
a lot more than thet. pretty much ANYTHING that impairs movement, even junkies trap
It's an amazingly strong ability.
i know what it grants immunity to, sleep dart was just one that i hadn't expected and that's honestly huge. all it's gonna take now is some good reflexes, and a nano boosted orisa can't be shut down.

You didn't really test one of the most important parts of her kit - while under the affect of Fortify Orisa cannot be affected by action-impairing effects. Does this mean she can walk right out of Junkrats trap? Can she be frozen by Mei? Can Orisa be knocked back while under the affect of Fortify (i.e parah rocket)? What about Zarya's ult? Please test!

She pulls enemy threw choke and Mai walls em off sounds like a good strategy. Extremely coordinated groups might be able to get a few kills with a puls bomb combo but I think that we'll be very situational
Ok but her HALT ability is gonna be stupid good on that one control point map where it's right in the edge of a pit. Just constantly pulling people into the hole
