About how long does the gator drive for until needing a recharge?

I'm looking to do exactly this on my kids Gator. Did you add a soft start module? If not did it strip the gears after some time of use?

I didn't add anything it hasn't stripped anything. After about a year, one of the motors went out, but this gator is 3 years old by now. The motor went out after we put a brand new 6AH HP battery on it so that may have done it in. I replaced the motors with new ones for about 25 bucks and no problems. I do keep it to 4AH batteries though.
