- What's up guys it's Trell again. In this video I will be reacting to a Marine Corps Bootcamp video. I will be revealing the truths of bootcamp. I can't tell everything because it would take away from the experience, but I can at least let you know what to kind of expect when you go. Hopefully you enjoyed this video and hopefully it helps ease your mind a little.

I don't care how hard it is. I'm going to be a marine. Even if I get broken down and probably cry myself to sleep. Nothing will stop me.

@Trell the Great, I got the call last night that my son had made it safely to San Diego there flight was delay in Dallas so they had to wait on the bus for there Senior Drill Instructor to come get them for almost a hour he said. He is in Golf comapany 2nd Battalion. My question is will the parents get to go too graduation ceremony because of this Covid 19. My son told me that we would haft to watch it on FB. and that he won't get his 10 day leave after BC. Is this true or is this a strategy so they won't count the days down to graduation. Thank you and Thank you for your Service. Semper Fi

Your bootcamp experience really depends on who your Senior Drill instructor is.
Yes! My Crucible was nothing like in this video except for the low crawl. We just low crawled through mud and sand and did banana peeling . Definitely no values classes or anything relaxing like that. 54 hours of pain but I’ll never forget it!

I went to boot camp at Parris Island in 1985. Just take it day by day. I remember there were days where I felt it was not too bad, then there were days where you were hating every moment of it. Stick it out. It's mostly mental. The hardest thing for me physically was running. That was mostly because I didn't prepare and run beforehand. The only thing I 'failed' in boot camp was the 2 mile rifle run in boots and cammies. I paid for it later. I did manage to finish the 5 mile run at the end of boot camp, then was able to get through a 7 mile run up a small mountain in Twentynine Palms at MOS school. I hated running even though I was able to do it.

Air Force 1991 and glad as hell I went in as a flyboy, as the one TDYI was in New Mexico reminded me of the benefits we enjoyed. I ship off June 22nd. I’m hyped asf!!
Good luck man. I shipped to boot camp last year on nearly the same date (June 17th) and I'm in the fleet now. Not gonna lie, a lot of it will suck BUT you will also go through a lot of good and funny times and meet new friends who will always help you out. Hell, I remember my drill instructors would almost try to make us laugh (although you're supposed to keep your bearing all the time in boot camp). My biggest piece of advice is don't take anything the drill instructors say personally. I was called a lot of bad stuff in boot camp but then I saw them laughing as soon as they went back in their little office. They don't hate you, they're just doing their job. (although I did have one DI who truly hated me even when we became Marines) there are some "bad apple" DI's out their but most of them are legit. Also, make sure you keep in touch with your family, it will keep you motivated! Every time I hated my life nothing was better than receiving a letter from my family/friends that helped me stay positive. Boot camp can get extremely stressful at times but there's no better feeling when you finally receive that Eagle, globe, and anchor. Good luck bro
Erwin Cardona , Good luck
I’ll be out June 12th
When did you begin speaking to a recruiter to get shipped in June?
Three cons:
1) Food at the chow hall was like fine dining...it was damn good! Problem: They only gave me ONE bite to chew on (Hint: Be the 1st platoon in). And then told me to throw the rest out! Meanwhile, people are starving around the world!!! I would've been better treated at a Federal Maximum Security prison.
2) Why the f---k am I wearing a Kevlar helmet and a poncho WITH my service rifle AND an ALICE pack when it's POURING rain outside? So, I was sweating inside and it's raining outside! Makes ZERO sense!
3) It's SO not cool and (NOT TO MENTION) gay-ish to be sitting across from your buddy, in the head, while you're both gazing into each other's eyes taking a dump! Not cool, bro. Not cool at ALL.
Stare them right in the face while you nuke the toilet. Alpha move.
No way, there’s no privacy ?

Hey man awesome vids. Quick question Did ur ear piercing close during Basic Training? And when are u allowed to wear ur earrings?
Sammy Figgy , Thank you and actually you’re not allowed to wear earrings.
Boot camp is a joke. As long as you know how to play the game, you’ll be fine. The only way you can fail boot camp is if you get seriously injured. We started with 90 and graduated with 93 (pick ups from other platoons. If you fail something, they’ll just send you to a different platoon and you’ll have to redo the event like swim Qual, rifle range, forced hikes aka humps. We had one guy that kept failing different events and he was placed into our platoon and he said he had been at recruit training for 9 months. as long as you do what you’re told and sound off loud, you’ll be fine.
DP tell the folks💯
i Graduated about 8 months ago i can truly say its not as bad as they make it seem if your mental game is strong you will make it

Do you get break time or down time? If so, how long? Also what do you get to do during that time?
Yes you'll get like 1 hour a day to write letters and stuff
After about a week into bootcamp
Might be a dumb question but how physically fit do you have to be to make it through boot camp?
just be good a calisthenics and things like running . The new standard is this www.fitness.marines.mil/pft-cft_standards17/ . you have to be able to run 3 miles within a certain time frame thats the big thing everything else comes easy from all the smoking on the quarterdeck you will be prepared as long as you dont have anything medically that would hold you back . If you end up failing you will be recycled and will be allowed to try again and if you get severely injured to the point of being in medical you will be in a recovery platoon until you are well enough to go back at it .
Shipping out Sunday hope I graduate in dress blues

The first couple days sucks because they are just trying to weed out the people who lied about stupid shit so they have a moment if truth after you're up for 2 days to see who lied and a lot of times being up for 2 days scares people we had 4 people get dropped because they "lied" about something
