Yes, she was married to Michael O’Shay. That is her voice. My great grandmother Alice Jones Wientge owned the Wientge School of Dramatic Expression in St. Louis in the 1930s and trained her niece, Virginia Jones, Stage name Virginia Mayo. She was discovered while performing on stage at the Muny in Forest Park St. Louis. I met her once.

How I adore Miss Mayo. Thanks for the great clip. The baby fat is gone from her lovely face. Her face is more angular and quite exquisite. Whether she was dubbed or not, she really knew how to sell a song. Always looks like she's enjoying herself.
