Let's be honest: "Bruce, there it is" is probably a better nickname/chant than Barbecue Bruce.
Watching this after what very well might be Bruce's last game in Vancouver...what a disgrace, how they've treated him. At least he knows, because they've been making it clear since day 1, that the fans love and respect him.
I think people don't realize Zegras's shock was because Sonny literally asked him to practice that and then he called for that Michigan pass during the game, it was 100% planned and Trevor was just stunned it actually worked
Darcy Kuemper increasingly regretting his decision to be a goalie, Marc-Andre Fleury thanking his most dependable defencemen the goalposts, pucks that flat out refuse... to.. cross... the... goal... line, the mutual mangling of Finnish goalies' names paling into insignificance with the crucifixion of the Canadian national anthem, goalies causing no end for aneurysms for Steve Dangle, and Bruce Boudreau calmly and quietly taking over the mantle vacated by John Tortarella. All this, and the discovery that Ovechkin is fuelled by an in-game Pepsi/Dr Pepper cocktail.

There’s actually something to the Pepsi and coke with athletes. The caffeine gives you a boost obviously but has a great ability to suppress the affects of fatigue it could be the key to ovi having a long career there’s quite a few nhlers who drink pop in intermission atleast

@@AlexWahl33 to be fair, the player on Michigan who did it, mike legg, said the reason he tried it and had practiced it prior to was because he saw someone else do it as a kid.

Glad to see Bruce get another shot. He coached an old ECHL team here in Mississippi that helped me get hooked on hockey. (Pun intended. If you know, you know xD)
One of my recurring nightmares is getting ready for a hockey game and right before puck drop I realize I forgot to put on my thigh guards or cup and I have to try to take everything off and put it back on before puck drop. I always wake up before making it on the ice.
Ugh. That feeling is so vivid
I have a similar nightmare where i get an opportunity to play for a high league team either AAA my age group or my local major junior team either or and i forget my entire bag and am forced to watch as my once in a lifetime opportunity is gone truly terrifying

Watching professional hockey players just swatting at the puck to clear it off the goal line or close too looks very funny like it’s a peewee game

Indeed! So many bad things happened to him before he joined the Caps. He’s still a bit rocky, but at least he doesn’t get injured as much, and isn’t having many equipment issues either.

it's a chicken or the egg situation. You need Zegras creativity to even think of the play in real-time.

Back when I played net in the 70s thru 90s we had CCM Tacks that were a single piece of steel riveted to the boot. Had the same pair of skates for a decade and they performed great through hundreds of sharpenings. This piece of plastic with a strip of steel is a disposable, planned obsolescence design so they can sell more skates. Typical Nike/Reebok MBA decision.

Goalie sticks need to change or they need to stop leaving their net. WAY too many goalie misplays, I swear it's once an nhl game. You have a better chance staying in the net and saving it on the breakaway.
