if you enjoyed the video, don't forget to like and subscribe😁👍🏾
Love the timing of the display size with Marques on the screen pulling out the ruler! well done
Had it for about 3 weeks definitely a very good device
Your sports comparison was spot on! 👌🏾
The dimensions and shapeliness of the Pixel 8 is basically perfect for/to me. I also like the Hazel colorway. If the mint colorway had been available at launch, I probably would've gone for that, though I also like the matte frame/bar of the P8.
I don't pixel peep displays much, but there have been times I've been in the sun and found myself thinking "damn, this display looks good".
I'm parked at a PC most of the day so battery life doesn't impact me much. I also don't record a lot of video, but having top tier still photos brings a ton of peace of mind. I use the Google service based AI stuff daily, but I don't actually know if that's Pixel specific, or an Android-wide thing.
great video, I really liked your analysis
Have it since release and I still love it. At the beginning I didn't really like the color of the rose Pixel 8 I bought, but now I fell in love with it. I just don't like that we Pixel 8 owners won't get the features the P8P owners get even though it's the same chip.
I agree with you. I got the pixel 8 and I love it. I’ve always gotten the larger phone but I wanted a smaller factor.
simple yet concise videos.. love it! much love from the Philippines! been a silent subscriber for a while now.. by the way Naseem, do you think it is still worth it to buy second hand iphone 11 this year? thanks and more power to your channel! 😊😊😊
Thank you for an in-depth and honest review.
Long time pixel user currently typing this on my pixel 7. Why do pixel videos have all that artifacting and weird color shift? I'm only curious because I want to upgrade to the pixel 8, but I also have the option of getting an iPhone 15. I do a lot of videoing
What wireless charger was that?
Great review 👍👌👏
Apparently the December update greatly enhanced the gaming experience from what I've been reading on Reddit. That's the great thing about Pixels, they'll continue to get better over time.
Liked and subscribed. You think this is a big improvement from a OnePlus 7t?
despite your comment that the display was laggy, terrible framerate and that the colors didnt pop I'm glad you gave it a fair shot....definitely brighter than an iphone and the price is right for a compact Android phone! I love mine and plan to keep it for a while...will you be doing a follow-up after testing the December feature drop package? Thanks Nas and hello from Canada
hey from Germany :D i love your Videos
Much love to Germany ❤ thank you:)
im still very stuck between which model to get, I truly want to switch to android but the reason why I stay with apple is because they offer the 15 pro, a pro model at a smaller size, the S23 ultra and pixel 8 pro are phenomenal phones, but they're just too massive, ive gone down from the 12 pro max to the 15 pro and I truly appreciate the smaller size, and its such a shame Samsung and google won't offer the best model in a smaller form factor, and very bad move for google to hinder the pixel 8's potential through software.
If you want a moderate usage phone you can always switch to Pixel 8. Asus Zenfone 10 also gives the same output just behind the camera range when compared to pixel.
I'm in the same dilemma as you. But I'm hoping the rumours are true for the pixel 9 to get a pro model in a smaller size. I'm switching on day one if that's the case.
Comparing the 8 pro to the 15 plus' speakers is crazy lmao. Should use the regular 15 for that, it's much closer.
Just got mine last night. It's pretty good so far
Any problems until now ?
@@aladdinyh6004 Nope
More like a hot take than a fun fact.
This is a good review. I just bought this phone and am waiting for Google to ship it to me before I leave for Christmas. C'mon Google!
very impressive young man
Thank you! I just saw the price on the 8 drop $150. Between this and a couple of other reviews, seeing that price drop, it was time. Also, I found a stupid cheap liquid silicone case, that feels JUST like the one that Google sold for the first Pixel. It's great. I was on the pixel 5, I refused to buy a GIANT phone. Worth it. Also, I do graphic design. A lot of other phones have bumped color pop, which CAN be pleasing, but it drives me nuts how oversaturated some phones look. Pixel is actually pretty neutral, and IMO, I like to see "reality" of color more.
GSM Arena has rated the battery life of the Pixel 8 just under 90 hours. Even the Pixel 6a is better. Will these battery saving tricks vastly improve the device's battery life? Will it easily help me get just over a day use and between 5-6 hours of screen on time minus playing games or non stop streaming or navigation?
Well said Nas! Got my Pixel 8 today and it gave 5 hrs SOT. Still on 30% with moderate usage. Who uses a small phone to play games lol 😂
i dont even know ppl who actually play games on a phone. smaller light games where u dont have to do much or simple as they get, sometimes rarely but every phone can run them without any problem. i wish google would included a free yt premium membership into that phone - bet they would sold more than every ohne brand. still a great phone tho imo & as most pixel user know they usually get better & better over time with software updates anyway
Picked up a few for our office on Amazon yesterday the 128GB obsidian model is $549.00. Solid deal imo.
Great sports analogy bro 🔥
what? 😂 I would rather say, completely worthless. There is development in everything since 19th century. Science, art, medicine, law, human rights. There are really many much more important areas to compare with, than sweaty males playing some team games..
Tested and didn't like the Galaxy s23 cause of bad camera, failure One Ui and I was not convinced by display. Will now try Pixel 8 i guess😮
I traded my iPhone SE 2022 and got the Hazel P8 256gb for $383 USD
At $549 on sale right now it is the best bang for your buck of phone out there.
#teampixel
Pixel 8 is not cheap. At the moment, S23 is same price so IDK why would I get it over the S23. . .
Great video man. I agree with the fact that cheaper phones are getting better and better. It's harder to justify the higher flagships.
I think the size is small. I use one plus 7pro. Idk how it will feel to use smaller size phone.
Same here (7 pro) and tested even smaller galaxy s23..
Felt great, typing a bit tricky to get used to smaller display/fields for letters.
But i sent it back cause of the camera, oneui..
I will now try maybe Pixel 8 aswell😊
Unsure if i should buy pixel 8 or the nothing phone 2 ...
Both good phones . Pixel is much stronger in the camera department if that kind of thing bothers you
Pixel 8 Vs Asus ZenFone 10 Vs Sony Xperia 5 v?
I would love to get update for 7 years but the practicality is questionable for certain users considering the fact that the hardware and hardware based features are gonna get outdated within 4 years.
I just returned mine for an S23. Keep in mind I’m switching from an IPhone 13 and have wanted a pixel for a while.
Things I liked: software was clean and smooth, screen was bright, build was solid, photos are great
Thjngs I didn’t: Gaming (don’t do it all the time, but it wasn’t smooth), screen was washed out, Ai is a gimmick still and takes a while to render results. I really didn’t like the extra weight and especially the camera bar, which I always smudged with my fingers.
It’s a good phone but not for me.
I'm considering switching from xiaomi note 12 to either pixel 8 or iphone 13 pro max. What do you suggest is better ?
To me the pixel 7 was better than the 7 pro and still is a great phone.. Loved the size
👍🏾💯
Getting a pixel 8 for $150ish after promos and rebates. $350 off and $185 tradein about $5 a month
You must have waited for 1 week more after testing the feature drop
I cant choose between the pixel 7 pro or pixel 8.
Cause the 5x zoom is really usefull
The 4x on the 6pro was replacing my 100mm dslr💀
Get the 7 Pro unless you have very small hands and 20/20 vision because the pixel 8 is so much smaller than you realize until you see it.
Pixel 8 / Samsung s23 Which is better, I'm confused...which one should I buy?
Well it entirely depends on what you need,
If you want to play some games, have a good fast chip great cameras that are social media ready with the added saturation then go for s23
However, if you just wanna scroll through social media, have great cameras that give great true to life photos and really good software and get long software support then go for pixel 8
After all they are both androids so you won't have to worry about customization
Also I suggest that you wait for s24 that's coming this January if you want the latest and greatest deal
@@samihanpargaonkar4477s24 want be no difference from s23 they brought the price down on the s23 still get 4 years worth of updates
To all pixel 8 pro users, how was the battery? Do you have any complains or its just right ?
I get about 6-7 sometimes even 7 and a half hours of sot with my pixel 8 pro
Bro I need that wallpaper
Confusion iPhone 14 or pixel 8 😭
Will be replacing my 6 yo LG cell with this once prices drop this fall at T-Mobile as the Pixel 9 will be released. Prices already dropped at Google Store.
I wish they would put a telephoto camera into the Pixel 8.
The Pro is way too big.
My favorite form factor is the 7a.
Day In a Life Battery Test!
Coming soon:)
@@naseemspeach waiting for you for my decision bro
Pixel 8 over the 7 pro ?🤔
Over the 8 pro for sure
@@FWild-eb1rd yeah if you had to choose pixel 8 or last year's pixel 7 pro ?
I've the Pixel 8. If you like a bigger screen the 7pro has been great!
How is your selfie so good? Quality is better than mine sometimes blurry 😢
I totally agree. I think the £1000 /$1000 are dead. You can get superb all round phones for £500 now or in special offer. I paid £529 GBP for the Pixel 8 and its absolutely fantastic at that price point. No way would I have oaid its original £900!! 👍💪
I didnt know that the iphone 15 had a fingerprint sensor 😂😂😂
8 pro all day
4 hrs sot lol and it takes 2 hrs to charge
They'll even teke Samsungs in as trade-ins if you hurry!😁
It's better
I thought the pixel has better frame rate than iphone?!
The 7a is working great as a second phone. iPhone still king of phones
My iPhone isn't haha . Prefer my 7a, especially considering the price difference
Bro if you are not using the 8 pro jist gift it to me👀👀
They added 7 yrs of updates only to justified higher price...sad story we all know 7 yrs of updates will not happen lol
Boring after 2_3 years!@!😅
You’ll wanna change your phone after 2 or 3 years. So 7 years sounds nice but it’s doesn’t really matter.
It does matter. Phones can jump from one owner to another and still be up to date in four years. It's like iPhones in third world countries: the 7, 8, X and 11 are still selling like bread because of the software. Having a iOS 16 or later for around 150 bucks is something not wealthy people appreciate.

I don't understand why everyone seems to think Google won't keep their promise in this instance. If there's one product that Google have kept up with, it's been their smartphones. Even dating back to the Nexus line. They've kept their promise of updates for all of their phones and even in the case of the original Pixel they gave it an additional OS upgrade.
Pixel 8 screen is very poor. surprised no reviewers have mentioned this major drawback
I blamed myself to move to pixel 8 , beta version is furstrated.
Don’t call my Pixel 8 a Jordan Poole tho☠️
It took 2 mins for the review to start 🙄
Dang, I thought did a good job on the intro 🥲
You really did @@naseemspeach
This is a very misleading video. I returned my pixel 8 minutes after looking at the tiny little baby phone. This phone is a step backwards for Google and should be priced at around $299. I would recommend anyone looking for any phone to steer far away from this one.
This phone is more for a someone who wants a smaller phone.
Personally I find the size of modern phones to be a little ridiculous. If I need a big screen for anything I'd just use my laptop. The standard Pixel 8 is really nice and feels a lot more like a phone than the larger models.
Not Fucking Messi. Say Cristiano the GOAT Ronaldo ❤
*LeBron Lame*
I still believe the Galaxy S23 is a way better device, especially when it drops to $699. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 makes the Tensor G3 look like a midrange device processor.
And no. Saying "but the Pixel 8 is $699" because the flagship $999 Pixel 8 Pro carries the same chip.
Genuinely speaking Pixel 8 is much better overall than the S23, the only 2 things S23 wins at are gaming and faster raw power, yeah nothing really beats the mighty SD8G2 but that's about it, Pixel performs better day to day even with S23's One UI 6 (with the latest One UI Home update) which addresses animation bugs, Pixel still runs so much smoother than S23 which had more than 5 - 6 major firmware updates thus far. Not to mention this is a Pixel 8 all without a single major firmware update which the QPR December feature drop release is due to arrive within a week or so, I'm on QPR 2 and it performs even better than 1. Besides that, Pixel 8 has slight edge with battery life than the S23 (Yes, I use and collect phones) It has objectively better camera, much better display, much better QOL features and better timely updates only to get better.
The Pixel 8 at $549.00 is hard to top. Not best at any one thing but good at all. A solid choice and great choice.
I'm about to switch to a Pixel because I've had enough of Samsung's bloatware. Mainly because I make items to sell and the colors are so if that I just can't get colors that are anywhere near accurate. Wish me luck!!
it's the right price at around $550 mark. this is a mid range phone, not a flagship level.
Lol what ? Pixel 8a next year is a midrange phone
Pixel 8 is a low tier flagship not mid range
@@ii-qe1ynthis is no google's best phone. the pixel 8 pro is the flagship at the moment. I don't know what your name means but you don't seem like a good person from your response.
