Best of all, to make you laugh even more at my increasingly obvious ‘senior’ moments, I didn’t like the supplied tiny push on telescopic antenna, but hey, I had an 8 section pull out bad boy with a bnc connection on it. I scrabbled through my radio plug bits for a bnc elbow connector male to female , knew I had one, but it hid well from me, so I ordered one. When it arrived I jubilantly connected my giant hear all continents and beyond the universe telescopic antenna and sat back, and watched in awe as it slowly fell over to the left😱 I pushed it back vertical , waited, and it then slid majestically to the right! I give up, I tried, I failed, only to purchase another similar antenna that had a friction collar preventing it from falling to one side or the other. Now where’s that 1979 Amateur Radio Examination manual gone - how did I pass the RAE? 😂
