i understand but we as a whole school district is highly underfunded, we probably are next to Reading and Philly schools to be the most underfunded schools in PA . i've heard we're in the top 10 underfunded schools in the country. maybe if we got more resources we could improve. maybe eliminate some study seminars for extra choir or dance or band/orchestra practices. instead we fund so that we can churn out the most criminals in a year.
+jessica dunst We're not funded by any means. If we want to go to a competition or anything like that we have to raise the money ourselves. Funding doesn't make a choir bad. And don't tell yourself any different. Money doesn't buy skill.

You go William Allen High School! Any high school that has that many kids signing up for choir is doing something right. The audience needs to learn some audience etiquette and whoever captioned this video needs to ask themselves if they would ever insult their own teenage child? Then don't insult these guys who worked for an entire semester to bring joy to others. I've literally never commented on a youtube video in my entire life that's how strongly I feel about this.
I absolutely cannot believe how dense these women were that talked through most of this performance. Really? These kids worked really hard...and you're jabbering through it. You must be more important than everyone else in the place. So very unaware.
The girl’s were hardly even trying, the boys were fantastic though. The girl’s though just flung their arms out lazily, not very good. But overall it was pretty good.
Well if it is a varsity level show choir this would be a huge failure, no offense to them. Choreography isn't great, they aren't together, they miss consanents(which is a killer if you don't pronounce the v, p, k, j, t, l, r), don't use their diaphragms, bad spacing, bad facials, not a lot of energy. I'll give em one for effort and passion, but not much else. Check out show choir national championships. Those are the top notch show choirs.
This doesn't look like a full varsity show choir because theres not enough consistency to it. I don't think its even a glee club, because there's too many people in it. If they wanted to do choreography though, they shouldve hired a proffessional choreographer.
sorry for late reply. but since it's Allentown PA we have ZERO money for a professional chorerographer. we cannot even pay our teachers like more than 12 an hour. (which for 80+ hrs a week they put in it's not worth it they need more)
