Stewart Golf: Coming soon! - Sport
Please keep this series going, Pete! Your quest for the Open series is some of the best content on CZcams.
Agree itâs brilliant for us amateurs to live vicariously through our CZcams content creatorâs experiences. Golf is tough and Pete (Rick et al) are masters of their trade, aka golf entertainment. Well done Pete.
You really believe that?
Pete, Rick, Matt and Andy need to sit down on a podcast and speak about their experiences during open qualifying
MF got a hole in one, that will be an interesting feeling to express
The four of them need to stop posting for a while and dig it in the dirt
Wow made a comment on MF's hole in one and got deleted
4 of them coundn't win the sunday medal
Pete , please don't question yourself and ask what's the point. I love watching your videos. The presentation is first class and you give everything to your audience. Keep going and look forward to the next video. PS I'm based near troon so hopefully see you at the Open âłïž
Can I just sayâŠ.. Thank you.
Thank you for producing the content you and your team do. Thank you for entertaining us every week without fail. Thank you for showing us your highs but also your lows.
Those of us who are your fans⊠this hurt for us as much as it did you. We want to see you thrive!!! And although in the open qualifier that wasnât the caseâŠ.. this year you have thrived.
This year you have brought us some outstanding golf⊠some fantastic content and took your following on a spectacular journey.
The quest for the open wasnât a failure⊠it was a resounding success that has left me wanting to see you push through this and with the advice of the greats you have played withâŠ. Come back stronger next year.
Thank you Pete and the team for all the content this year so far! I canât wait for wherever the journey takes us! Where that isâŠ. Who knowsâŠ. But what I do know is we are all here as fans willing you to succeed.
Pete, there are a lot of people here who are so impressed by your play and continued effort. It is remarkable how well you have done in your golfing journey. Head up and keep it up. We are here for it, and you, my friend!!! Great job, no matter the outcome.
You have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, and I thank you for posting this and being transparent. Some of the best golfers in the world (JT, Rickie, etc) have rounds where they struggle to break 80 and feel like theyâre never going to play well again. Youâve shown that you can play great golf. Keep your head up and remember what Paddy said. Weâre all rooting for you!
Yes but JT, Rickie etc.. can shoot 7 under on tougher courses the next day, Itâs just different standard. That being said, it was just a bad day. Watching Rick and Peteâs regional qualifying vlogs just showed that the nerves were too much on the day. Not that we would be any different though Iâm sure. The tour proâs are just mentally built different.
Good effort though Pete.
I walked round the course following you. The pressure must have been intense. Having seen the other CZcams golfers Open videos, it appears that you had a lot more people following you, which is testimony to the content you produce. The filming lads were a credit to you too. They didn't interfere and were happy to talk to everyone, as were you when things weren't going your way.
Keep going Pete đȘđ»
I shoot so much better when on my own. Even playing with work mates I drop a ton of shots, let alone Open qualifier and loads of people.
I'd encourage Pete to invite fans to watch next year's lead-up to qualifying. Get used to his fans and no doubt he'll be better with this Yr under his belt
Mate.. it's the "quest" for the open! A "quest" by definition is "a long or arduous search for something", and that is exaclty what it was! If you give up now it would totally defeat the purpose. Keep going mate, I love seeing the tough and frustrating rounds as much as the comfortable 5 under rounds you shoot elsewhere. Keep it real!
Throughout this process, Iâve celebrated your wins and grieved your setbacks. I love how you started the process this year with a list of goals that would improve your game, and you stuck to them, and shared them with us to keep yourself accountable. You are a very good golfer. You just need to think about what it was about this qualifier that took you out of your comfort zone, think about how you can prep for those things, and start next season with another goal list, and keep at it. Weâre all going to still be here to support you.
Pete, seeing a golfer of your quality go through the same struggles, technically and mentally as us amateurs, while also talking it all through with your audience is very uplifting. Thanks for all the effort you put into entertaining your fans, we appreciate you. Bad days happen, your game is ever improving, you will be back better than ever. We believe!
Completely get how you must have felt/feel Pete. You have zero to apologise for and despite the clear pain and embarrassment you feel at this time, those of us who follow you closely, know how you can and have performed this passed year.
You are an excellent flag bearer for the YT golf space and communicate to your audience in a way that is clear and unequivocal ⊠so refreshing in amongst some of the hype and tosh blurted out on numerous other channels.
May your wounds heal quickly and (as Iâm sure you will) return with renewed faith in the fact that people really enjoy what you do.
Youâre a highly capable golfer and together with your great team, produce some of the best content on the platform. Hang in there mate đ
Me personally Pete, I absolutely love your quest for the open series, itâs one of my favorites in all of CZcams and I hope you keep it going. Anyone whoâs played this awesome beautiful brutal game knows that GOLF IS HARD! And it sucks that you got reminded of that on the worst possible day of the year for you, but keep going! Your fans absolutely believe in you and are rooting for you like crazy, you got this!
The quest for the open series has been just that: the quest - coming along for the ride to see everything you've done to prepare to the qualification: building the bag, the comps, the training - it's been a great journey to watch. The destination not being qualification doesn't erase all the value and enjoyment of the journey. Really hope to see the series again next year. Good luck with your game Pete!!
Yes please @peterfinchgolf , do it again next year.
An excellent process with enough ups along the way to be net positive in spite of the big down.
Better luck, and fortitude, next year đ
Don't get yourself down Pete, you've been an inspiration for many of us this year, highlighting your highs and lows only shows the strength and resolve you have to live and learn. We are all enjoying your content always
Pete, that was touching and deep. Thank you for being so open and raw for all of us who love watching you be you.
Please continue your "Quest for the Open" series. It is seriously some of the best content on CZcams. I have seriously improved my game over the last 18 months. I moved from an 18 to an 8. Much of what i have done is watch your content and practice/play with that content in mind.
Huge thank you for being you and sharing with us.
Big props for filming and posting this Peter. It's just golf. We can be playing so well and then suddenly it all goes south for a bit. You've got a lot of game. Keep chasing these tournaments. There is no substitute for experience. You tempo was a little quicker than your normal and that is understandable given the pressure and your swing feeling out of sync. You've got a lot of fans. Thanks for posting and keep up the good work.
Man I think the fact that you feel an urge to give up trying for it based on the result is definitely a sign that you absolutely should try again in order to try to overcome. If anything, for your own sanity. I loved watching this series. Would be even more invested next year
Pete, please keep going. This is golf and humanity in a nutshell, bite down hard and go again. This community will follow your redemption and lift you shoulder high when (not if) it arrives. Top man.
Peter, you were the first YT golfer I stumbled upon on the platform. I think I have followed you since 50-60K subs or something. You and Ricks early coursevlogs, your humour and love of the game, made me fall back in love with golf. I genuinely believe that had I never found your channel, I wouldnât have picked up the game again. Please donât be too hard on yourself. The fact that you have the courage to play, given the pressure and expectations on your shoulders, is impressive. Go on Pete! Iâm rooting for you! Regards Mads
Pete - walk tall with your head very very high. This has been a brilliant series to watch and you have entertained us beyond measure.
It takes cojones to try, and we think you're brilliant. Also many thanks to the whole team for the filming and editing as well as all the back room staff.
You can choose, but if you go again next year we will all be with you.
Super courageous to post this. EVERY golfer (scratch...pro...10 handicap) has been through this. Part of the curse of this game we love :) Carry on!
Pete, you are one of (if not) my favorite Golf CZcamsrs. Your videos show the good and bad of everything, and that's why I watch everything you put out. Your Quest for the Open series is def a top favorite, and seeing you play both good and bad inspires me to push my game to the next level.
Thank you for everything you do and I will continue to support your channel and this amazing series. On to the next!
Youâre honesty inspires me!!! To say and explain exactly what youâve gone through, your feeling, your thoughts it shows such integrity. So many people just wouldnât have released the footage it shows the kind of person you are. Thank you Pete for showing us all that this can happen to anyone not just us.
You absolutely have to continue this. Itâs the best series on CZcams . Youâre so relatable and I love that you wear your heart on your sleeve, letting us all know how you feel when youâre under that pressure. One day youâll get through Regional and itâll be the best video youâve ever made!
This is the MOST touching of all of your videos. You're right... Worst round at the worst time. I'm still insanely jealous of your golf swing. I stand on the course picturing your swing any time I'm feeling a little skittish. That has not changed one bit after watching this.
Tempo town
Definitely continue. Takes guts to film especially if it doesnât go your way. But watching the journey is highly entertaining. Nobody else is doing this.
Still my favorite you tuber Pete! Golf humbles everyone. Not many can put them selves out there the way you guys do. Iâll never quit watching your content! Never quit on yourself Pete! Youâre a hell of a golfer and even more, a hell of a man! Thanks for giving me something to route for!
I have just come from watching my favourite poker player (Daniel Negreanu) win his first WSOP bracelet for over 7 years after a mind numbing grind over 5 days. I follow it up by watching my favourite golf player (Peter Finch) face such a disappointment after the amazing journey towards the Open and all of the hard work on his game.
Competition at a high level is incredibly tough and seeing both sides of trying to be the best you can be in your field and the emotion that comes from all the successes and failures makes me admire these guys even more.
Best wishes Pete. All the people who watch these videos are behind you. Following your journey matters to me more than any one result. Lifelong fan :)
This is by far the episodes I look forward to the most. The thought that you could make it to the open, a mere mortal like the rest of us is so inspiring! Please dont give up!
Also, absolutely fantastic job on the editing, the mood of the music and just the right amount of commentary - top, top work guys đ
Thank you sir
Before I watch this, Iâm so happy that you tried. And we watched.
Was there watching you all round that day, Peter. Canât imagine what was going through your head. The fact that you pushed through the back 9 knowing you werenât gonna get into final qualifying shows how much mental strength you have to push on and what a top bloke you are for doing so.
Was still great to watch you play in person
Peter I'm relatively new to your channel the last year or so. Cannot tell you how classy a golfer and person you are, have enjoyed every moment of your journey, and the fact you had this round is just testimony to why golf is so challenging and frustrating. I think you're a class act to actually still post this video, talk about it, and share your emotions with us all. It's what makes you phenomenal to watch, and what makes us all love this dumbass game so much. Don't let it get you down, we're all massively rooting for you!
Pete, I know you're disappointed and frustrated but I hope through that you keep sight of all great work you've done this season and on your channel in general.
Just speaking for myself, you've played a huge part in helping me find my way back to the game again after a long stint away when my dad passed. Experiencing your joy and love for golf through your channel, through lots of ups and downs, has made a big impact on me and I'm sure many others will say the same.
Chin up, keep up the great work, and thanks for all you do for your viewers and for the game!
Unlucky Pietro - qualifying is always tough.
Keep your chin up man, don't let a bad round define your game.
Seriously Pete, you took us through an amazing journey. Honest, genuine and funny at times. We as golfers understand these times of woe, so nothing to be ashamed of. This was a journey, and I honestly enjoyed every single minute of it. If you have the energy, please keep this going. Itâs superb content â€
This is so relatable to probably most of the watching audience. Playing seriously well in the build up and then having a complete anomaly round that canât be explained. Hats off to you for putting yourself through this experience though Pete. When you said you âhated yourselfââŠ. that very saddening to hear, but again very relatable. Great to hear that you have received lots of encouragement though. We all know this isnât the round you/we wanted but you give so much to us all with your entertaining content and thatâs why everyone wants you to go again. Youâre almost doing this for us all pal, so learn from this one and go fight another day đȘđŒ
I know that this will hurt to watch, but, Pete, youâre an inspiration to me on the course. Thanks so much for trying.
It hurt me more trust me
@@peterfinchgolf One bad round doesn't define you. Those who truly supported you on the day will feel the same way! There are so many worse things in life than having a bad round. Atleast you get to play golf and will continue to do so. Some arent as fortunate such as people with disabilities or other situations. All Iam saying is just be grateful for what you have. Luv your content, you are a legend in my eyes!
Keep your head up Pete. Golf is a tangible representation of life. Some good and some not so good but we get up every day and get to work. Don't let your efforts and attitude be the reason it doesn't happen.
Very well said.
Pete, do continue this series. The golf you've played this year and will continue to play has been great. The tips on the mental side of the game have been great for us all, so don't stop here!
The quest for the open was THE BEST golf content on CZcams. Please keep going! The more you do the qualifying the less big it will feel. Keep it up guys! â€
I was there supporting and following you and your team around and you need to hold your head up high Pete! Yes I know you were gutted but you did yourself proud with all the hard work and prep and the process đȘđŒ was great to meet you all in person and to watch you play golf - THANK YOU âłïž BRING ON QFTO 2025 ROYAL PORTRUSH EDITION!
Onwards mate, production was unreal on this đ
Thank you!!
@@lifebymickw THE Editor!! Great job man, loved the music choice. Any chance you can tell me what song it is at 17:42?
The music which started at 17:20 was so well chosen. I too would like to know what it is.
Horrendous! Very Brave putting this video out. That wasn't Pete playing out there. It was a shadow. đą
Love the series and look forward to it every year. Your journey is both compelling and informative. I look forward to more QftO in the future!
Good for you for posting this pete...your right, the mental side is so important. Dont give up, your a talented golfer and I'm sure all will come good.
Unlucky Pete, admire your bottle
"Golf is played in the 6 inches between your ears".
Iâve got a big head
@@peterfinchgolf Ok, golf is played in the 14.5 inches between your ears. That explains the hook.đ
What a brutally honest video⊠hope thereâs some cathartic benefit for you!
Anyone that plays golf understands the disappointment of a poor round when youâve built up to it in your mind⊠yours is intensified because itâs youâre living, but every golfer knows what youâre feeling⊠and we keep coming back. Itâs the nature of the game.
Keep posting Peter đđđ
Pete, I've watched you for a while now. And I'll honestly say that you seem like such a genuine person who is in pursuit of his dream. I know you probably feel demoralized, asking what's the point of doing this Quest for the Open.... I'm just one guy, but I look forward to this every year now. The insight we get through you is truly invaluable. Please don't stop making these series and definitely put out your last episode. We all support you man, and we are living this quest through you. Keep it up, you've got all the support in the world and we all truly appreciate the time and effort it takes to put these episodes out.
I'm going to run this through so CZcams makes it contribution, but I'm not going to watch it. Prefer a positive focus on the future - and I"m confident such will arise.
peter and rick open spoiler
i've been watching both peter and rick for a long time. fan of both channels. and after watching both open recaps, i can honestly say that everyone hating on rick and always boasting "peter is so much better" has absolutely no reason to. i'm not trying to take anything away from peter, anyone who takes on a crazy challenge like this no matter what the result is should be praised. but rick gets so much unnecessary hate.
Couldn't agree more. Absolutely nothing on Pete, just never understood the narrative of him being the "real" golfer and Rick just being a youtuber.
Pete does have some good competition scores, played welll in that pga qualifier and played the tougher course on the day, I do think heâs slightly better but still a long way off getting through to the final qualifier
But Pete is much better. Thatâs not hate on Rick, just the truth. Youâre saying this based on 1 round for each. Of course Rick could beat Pete on any given day, but if they played 10 times, Peteâs winning 8 or 9.
Obviously rick gets flak because he is the largest YT golfer. But I think over time...as his game has declined over the past few years...people see him less as a golfer and more of a content creator/influencer. But still labelling himself as a pro golfer.
Then they see other far better golfers with a lot less subs etc. Which makes people disenfranchised
â @@treyb9308maybe he is better, but that's not my point. people act like rick is a 20 handicapper who's never broken 80 and peter is some perfect player who's gonna get past final qualifying. it's very frustrating because neither player is exceptional.
Iâve played this game for about 30 years Pete and your content this year really reignited my passion for golf. To put yourself out there is tough but at least you had a good go at it. Anyone who has played the game knows it is a cruel mistress at times especially when we really want to do well. How we bounce back is a test of character. Keep going đȘđȘ
Pete . . . PLEASE . . . keep the Quest for the Open going! Iâve been watching for years and this was your best showing yet! Youâre SO close to putting it all together. I think your video with Podrick was a turning point for you. But itâs going to take time. You have the game in the bag. You just need it in your head now too. You CAN DO THIS!! Keep it going! We all are pulling for you!! đđ
This is a perfect example of how brutal golf can be at times. Having said that, the content was excellent as usual, having a target line brilliant, please don't let a bad round deter you from making these videos that alot of us love.
Great that you made this video, I see this defines golf! It's a mental game, so hard! Great series Pete, keep doing it! Really enjoyed the series! đȘđ»
I love the series, it's top class! I hope you keep going, it's entertaining and informative while also being incredibly grounded. Big thanks to you and your team for bringing us along for the rideâ€
Your content and your channel stand out so uniquely superior to all others, the best golf channel on the whole internet. You are a fantastic golfer and we who watch you and support you are 100% behind you, wishing we could do more for you, because what you give to us is GOLD. Worth more than all other channels combined. You play real golf, really gritty mental stuff, and more than any other CZcams golfer, you have worked and improved yourself for us to see in ways that will remain inspirational. Take a breath, walk away for a head moment, come back, resilient like you have always been, taking on this phenomenon you have created, which we love, you.
I know how it feels.
You manage to share huge quality golf thru your contents.
One has said that we should never give up.
Thanks again for all you have done this year.
I was one over par yesterday and hit a 65m wedge 20m long onto the bar terrace to double bogey the last. Golf is hard, dealing with failing is even harder. We all learn from your experiences, Peter, so thanks for sharing your journey. You were magnanimous and gracious in defeat, and honestly, that alone is enough to inspire (and stopped me breaking my wedge over my knee). Thank you! Keep on keeping on!
âYou only fail when you stop tryingâ - keep it going Pete as yours itâs some of the best content from golf CZcamsrs.
I felt for you Pete but what you can be really proud of is the improving quality of your content. The videography, the editing, the story telling all add up to quality entertainment. And win or lose, play great or poorly, while you are entertaining your subscribers, you are on a winner. Congrats to the whole team on providing such quality entertainment. Itâs only a game and a stupid game but thats why we love it.đ
Definitely keep going Pete, your inspiring.I love watching the series and I always try take something away from all your videos to improve my own game.
I love watching the quest for the open series, its so cool to see you work hard in the lead up to qualifying. I really thought you had a shot at putting a round together but golf is sometimes ruthless and unforgiving. I bet you could go around that course tomorrow and shoot even or under par easily. Chin Up Pete, you are one of the good ones!
Loved this series. Would love for you to bring it back. I think more of the same! The biggest thing I took from this and is important to remember is no matter how much prep, work, and effort you put inâŠ. Sometimes golf wins. The reason we put in effort is to try and win more often than we lose. Accept the loses and enjoy the wins. Youâll get âem next year Pete! Head high!
This was probably your best video yet! It was really great to see your honesty in both your play and breakdown of how you played & felt. A true glimpse into what golf really is for the average individual. Keep up the great work!
Definitely keep the series going, golf is tough and this was one of the toughest days out I've seen in a while (other than my own round ofc). Keep your head up and come back fighting next year, commit to the grind, and go out and smash open qualifying next time around. You've got it in the locker to make it through, everyone can see it, just got to work on the mental - and now you've got a full 12 months to do it!
Good Job Pete!!! Keep it going! From someone who struggles to break 90 consistently your game and channel is informative and entertaining. Not sure who said this but I Iove this quote " Trying Again Takes Strength. No one has ever claimed that recovering from failure is easy-it is, however, a mark of strength. At the end of the day, you'll regret not trying something far more than you will ever regret trying and failing". Looking forward to the next Video. God Bless!
I really feel for you mate. Iâve been watching the series and thoroughly enjoying it, and learning some things along the way! Chin up mate! Youâre an inspiration to a lot of golfers!
Great video and series. Would love it to return next year. Fantastic insight and gave me (very high handicapper) some great feedback and what to work on!
Pete, such a joy to follow you this year on this quest. Just going to make it that much sweeter when you make it next year! Please continue!
Please never give up on this series. It's the main reason I subscribe (and I wouldn't be surprised if that's the same for a lot of people). Honestly I don't really care about the result, more that we get to see the process you go through and the cut-throat nature of the event. And if you do qualify one day, then yeah, that would be a heck of a video, but if not, I will still be watching and I'll still be enjoying. So please, keep at it!
The point is you are doing the QUEST!!! However it turns out you give all the viewerâs a wonderful understanding regarding the challenges of golf. We all keep coming back. Thanks for your constant and honest input.
Pete watching you practice and grind to get to open qualification has been some of your best stuff. Your nerves are what a lot of us experience every time we play golf or look like we are going to break 90. Keep the great work going and roll on next year âłïžđââïžđđ»
Pete, please keep the series. It is strangely helpful to see that even good golfers can have a total stinker of a round! It keeps me hoping that I too can have a good round every now and again. As I was always taught: you learn more when things go wrong than when everything goes right. Love your content, so please keep it coming. Thereâs always another chance
Pete, you canât make this series any better. Please take this in the best spirit possible - everyone who watches you gains from your regular success but also your seldom failures! Whilst I feel and share your pain, donât forget we all look to you for your style, wit and fabulous swing. Go get âem, mate. Weâre all gunning for you. đŹđ§
Love â€ïž the series . I can only imagine how gutted you must have felt . Your channels have inspired me to enter comps/ senior groups/charity events these past two years . Some with success and some with frustration , but most importantly ALL with great company and an ever growing fondness and admiration for the game and the competitive nature.
Keep playing in comps or give it a break , either way I appreciate your delightful , self deprecating personality and wry wit, and will continue following no matter where your journey goes.
Cheers mate , and thanks !
I don't even play golf and I love your content. I've watched the whole Quest for The Open series and loved it. It's part of your life's journey and they way you present it draws me in. This episode was the most real thing I've seen in ages. Heartbreaking, but I hope you can find the strength to go again next year.
Great effort Pete. Please keep the series going. You are a joy to watch and help countless people enjoy the game.
Please keep going with it Pete, this has been the best golf series ever. I get so into it and so happy watching you play these comps. đ
Your honesty, openness, and not hiding when things don't go well is refreshing. I both applaud and ache for you and hope to see you continue. Thank you for simply being yourself and not another poser.
Donât give up Pete! I started tournament golf this year and the mental struggle is so tough and Iâm not on camera! Love the series and youâve gotten so much better throughout which is inspiring for us all!
Pete your such an inspiration to myself and hundreds of thousands of other golfers out there. Your the reason i got into golf and love this sport. Be proud of who you are and keep your chin up lad. All the team have absolutely smashed this series, editing has been brilliant. Think u all deserve a spa break!
I have just watched this video and really feel for you Pete, it just wasn't your day. I love watching your videos and they inspire me to play better golf. Your mental attitude towards the game has grown so much over this series, don't let this knock you down, your followers are all behind you.
Pete watching your Quest every year is my favorite recurring series any CZcams golfer does. Period. The only one that comes close was George Bryan going through Q school for me. No one plays their best every round so to see you learn how to deal with that is so enjoyable. Learning how to pick apart what facet of your game needs to be worked in what way is so entertaining and insightful. I think watching you and RS all throughout college really made me decide I wanted to become a pro myself! I am slowly trudging along through the PGA associate program here in America. So thank you for inspiring me to share my own passion for the game and to start my own quest for the US Open! Also in my humble opinion your team does the best editing, filming, and graphics of all of the big guys. Keep your head high and keep on swimming!
P.S. come film in WI where I work! 10 of the top 100 public courses in America are here! Just met the Bryan Bros ;)
Itâs been a great series Peter and team. To see the effort youâve put in and the improvements in the build up was so cool. Keep going!
Pete please keep the series going. I'm a 12 handicapper and it puts it in perspective the amount of work that needs to be put in to even win my local comp never mind a road to the open. There might not be much to take away from the golf but it helps with mental mindset that we all can struggle with. Especially when you have padriag Harrington set on your shoulder. Create channel great content.
I've watched your videos on & off for a while, and today you earned my subscription. You & Rick have guts & style for showing us how difficult it really is to be a pro.
Pete, I enjoyed your Quest for the Open series for so many reasons and would not want to lose it, going forward. Your swing improvements, your continued collection of knowledge and insights, and your talent. This round was such an aberration that it would border on criminal to let THIS stop you from saddling up again next year. You have the talent. Donât waste it on disappointment and frustration
The series is fantastic and your videos are brilliant, been hooked in the last year. Bad rounds happen to everyone but donât let it get you down, you can play incredible golf.
This series was absolutely class please do it again I learnt so much from it and also was able to translate it over to tennis another mental sport donât stop now youâre so close
Dont give up Pete. I look at your channel before i play for inspiration above all other golf you tubers⊠we need you!
Thanks for sharing this round. Itâs relatable for a lot of golfers because there are rounds when nothing is working.
We want to see you go again Pete! I especially loved the qualigraph and seeing how you broke down the process and charted your progress. Excellent content đ„
Really appreciate and admire your efforts, I can see just how much it means to you â€keep swinging well done đ
Good game. I was rooting for you. You played great golf up to this point. You have taught me some things that Iâve been using in my day to day golf
Pete, the point of this, from what I have got out of it, is getting to see behind the scenes of what golf is actually like for guys like yourself who are actually really really good at the game. We all have good rounds and bad rounds and we all watch the majors and see glimpses of guys in their prime playing amazing golf that we as amateur golfers can only dream of. (Which is why I think Full Swing was so successful) To see how much effort you put into your game and play with some greats in preparation for this and you can still have a bad day makes you relatable and vulnerable just like the rest of us. If all we see is you going low and hitting unreal shots time and time again it distances you from your follower base (weâre all human). Iâve loved being able to watch you play these tournaments and see the struggle you go through cause I go through that same struggle every round and thatâs what makes me keep coming back. Keep pumping out the content good or bad and in the wise words of your fellow countryman Ali G Keep it Real đđ»
Wow this has got to be one of my favourite videos that youâve done Iona. Iâll hopefully be there on the Saturday and this has been a great insight!
Pete, mate! Thanks for a great series. Iâve enjoyed watching and learning from you. The game is all fun and games until you ge to this stage. Good for you, being honest and showing us all.
Pete, the answer is in your title 'The Quest for the open',
QUEST
noun
a long or arduous search for something.
YOU Keep searching! And im sure we will all keep watching. â€
This series has been absolutely amazing. Don't give up on your dreams or this series! It has been amazing watching the process you've followed. Results can never be controlled in golf (look at Rory) but if you follow the right process, the good rounds will come.
Pete! I am a scratch golfer, but any time I get into a tournament atmosphere I mess it up and end up 10-14 over. You helped me this year watching you do well in your pro tournaments despite this open qualifier. Thanks for the content and help. And weâll see you in the open next year đ
