During the 2 night concerts where Momometal was announced, this incredible song closed the first night, and "The One" closed the second night. They are related, and are my favorites when I want to chill. Thanks for your review.

For me, it has the same vibe as 'Shine'.It should belong in metal galaxy.I like sci-fi so I always picture myself traveling through space solo in my minispacecraft while listening to this kind of music..Messier 81 galaxy and a strange nebula just appeared in my instrument horizon..😂

Well, no one, literally no ONE was expecting a sax solo on a BABYMETAL song. 😁
They closed at Makuhari in January and opened at Pia Arena (Black Night) with "THE LEGEND". Coincidence? C'mon, we are talking about BABYMETAL.
Here are Su's thoughts (being very... Su, by the way) about this one (PMC vol.27, credits to funnytoss for the translation):
"This song is based on the motif of “Coffin”. For us, a coffin is both an end and a beginning, and so it goes for this song as well. It’s the last song of the album, and it was also the final song of the setlist at Makuhari, but I’ve lost a bit of perspective regarding this song. I always get confused about whether I’m looking down on things from above and gathering people together, or whether I’m among the people and looking at the world from there. Also, I’m not sure if this song is about the future, returning to the past, or living in the present? In a sense, it might be about all of these things. I haven’t figured it out for myself yet either. So it’s a song of beginnings. The fact that it was played means that it begins once more. That leads to infinity, which is also the symbol of THE OTHER ONE. So to reiterate, this song sounds like the end, but it’s also the beginning. It fits the “something is about to start” feeling we created at Makuhari the other night. I still don’t fully understand the song yet."

well, if you put yourself in the mind of the song writer, it might makes a lot of sense, the melody, etc. is the kind of music you'd often hear from a saxophone, so it makes sense to choose to use it.

Well done. Yes this song is one of my favorites and yes absolutely I love the inclusion of the saxophone (one of my favorite instruments).

I couldn't see clearly, but I don't think there was a saxophone player at either Makuhari and Yokohama.
Also, as I am sure you are aware, the atmosphere of the song improves dramatically when dancing and staging is involved, so please react again when the live video is released.

Cool to hear you're gonna listen the full live show at Makuhari Messe 2023, i don't remember if you watched Legend Metal Galaxy 2020 but if you didn't i highly suggest you to do that before watching the newest live concert, but it's all good, enjoy it either way.
A perfect track to ending this journey, this is a clear statement and reminder they're _living legends_ now, and we don't need to be afraid of this as an end, let's be grateful coz a new beginning is about to come.
Love this track and that sax touch gives this a more intimate feeling, they performed this at Makuhari Messe 2023 as an ender and during Black Night at PIA Arena MM last weekend as an opener, unfortunately no kami sax played that section.

Sadly, so far NO 'keys Kami' (well, a piano kami at Legend S for No Rain, No Rainbow did happen) or 'sax kami' has been sighted at a Babymetal live show.
"We are The Legend", now the real question is: who is We ? Is it like Babymetal, the staff and the fans as in: "We are Babymetal", I assume it is a song similar to The One.
We now need Kami Keys just so I can say it!

I agree with the comparison to The One but I'm also reminded of when they covered the song, Tsubasa Wo Kudasai. Especially when Su first starts singing.
Also, when I was listening to it the other day, I also heard some definite moments from Shine!

This song was played on the first day of a recent concert by just SU&MOA as the first song. It is the song that ends it all.
On that day, the three members of BABYMETAL, who had spent 10 years of METAL RESISTANCE, became LEGEND. They officially declared that they would never return.
And the three new BABYMETAL members were chosen by the Fox God.
They are SU-METAL, MOA-METAL, and MOMO-METAL.
In other words, a new BABYMETAL living in the metaverse was born.
The first song of the second day was METAL KINGDOM performed by the three, the song that started it all!
