Softbox I Recommend (Sadly it appears Laofas discontinued the softbox that I showcase in this video :( BUT I did find a similar softbox from Smallrig. Smallrig is a great brand and I would recommend this softbox instead): amzn.to/3ObtA4E

Thank you for your kind words!😀best of luck with any upcoming projects
Super underrated tutorial! Keep it up bro
Thanks for the kind words and for giving it a watch!🙂Ive got another lighting tutorial in the works for shooting an interview with 3 lights. Let me know if there are any types of tutorials you would like to see and I will add those to the list to shoot!
actually i want to start youtube ,and this make really helpfull for me
I’m glad this video was helpful! I’ll have more lighting tutorials coming out soon. My channel is mainly for videographers but lighting applies to anyone capturing video so hopefully it will help with your CZcams aspirations as well!
@@GrantBurks i will waiting for bro
I've always struggled with lighting myself. Great info!
Thanks Jacques! Lighting can be a beast to tackle, but nothing quite like it when you lock in that perfect setup 😀
@@GrantBurks Right?! I had to pay a local videographer to come do my lighting because I just couldn't figure it out. Haven't touched it since he left!
‘Set it and forget it’ the BEST kind of lighting!!!😆
Thank you for this super video you made !! What's the difference between the UL150II Bi / SL300III bi / your VL300 when we want to make videos like yours ? Does we need more than one or... I'm little bit lost with all these different models.
I appreciate your kind words!🙂Rather than butchering the differences between the different models, I’m going to paste a link below that does a great job defining the differences between the models!
My recommendation: get a nice powerful light you can use for a key (VL300) then get a smaller bicolor light you can use as a backlight (UL60 Bi)

whats the size of the softbox please? 46 inch / 120cm ?
That softbox is 120cm! They discontinued it but I found an alternative one from smallrig that is the same size and has a similar set up. I linked to it in the description of the video!
with iso 800 wouldn't it just be easier to turn the knob down to 200 instead of using extra glass like ND
Fantastic question! 😀 You’ve got a keen eye. For that shot I was using the a7IV shooting in Slog3 picture profile. The base ISO for Slog3 on the a7IV is 800. The camera doesn’t let you record below that ISO and unfortunately it doesn’t have internal ND’s so I had to use a screw on ND!
@@GrantBurks makes sense :)
Let me know if I can ever answer any future questions for you and best of luck with any upcoming shoots!
Pls start Film making tutorial classes ❤❤
I’m planning to start releasing tutorials weekly! What specific tutorial topics would you like to see?
You might know how to light an interview but I hope you're not the one capturing sound for them, because the sound captured for this video is not very good. It sounds muffled and at some points you can even tell that you're clipping your levels.
Some projects I hire out DP’s and sound engineers for projects and some projects I do it all on my own! Depends on the client’s needs and budget. This video was focused on lighting. I threw a Tascam on with auto leveling and called it a day. Just wanted good enough audio for people to be able to hear what I was teaching and be able to learn!
