@Ankit Banerjee that's what people were saying about Pewdiepie but the thing is no one took into account a sudden surge of Indian users and an Indian music channel that gets tons of views and uploads 10 videos per day (just an exaggeration) basically playing to youtube algorithm better than anyone by a large margin. You just wait though because unless T-series branches to other languages, they are stuck at the number of people who speak hindi. You just wait until an English or Chinese speaking channel is able to appeal to such a large audience and play the youtube algorithm similarly to how T-series did.

Right now, I see Cocomelon as the most credible challenger to overtake Pewdiepie next. Even further down the line, if T-Series starts saturating and Cocomelon doesn't, then Cocomelon may well be the channel that might dethrone T-Series. But that's far off in the future. Cocomelon still needs 50 million to catch Pewdiepie and T-Series. The Cocomelon crossover with Pewdiepie might happen in early 2021.

@The Engineer Guy Yeah that's pretty correct. But most of these 500 million are probably younger (12 to 36) so most probably already know how to do those things. Also a LOT of the older people (probably) use Facebook just like in the west and only care about the Internet for social interaction instead of content consumption.
BTW I made my Anglosphere point cause I'm Brazilian and sometimes it's pretty annoying to point that out.
@The Engineer Guy I don't see why any of that should be true. Indians are getting online now just as Westerners did 20 years ago. It doesn't take much learning to know what are popular web sites and how to set up email addresses. Once someone has Internet access, they'll get there in days just by word of mouth, and getting help from their friends/relatives. There are now 700 million Internet subscribers in India according to the latest stats. Most of them won't be fluent enough in English to talk to you (same is true for Internet population in other non-Western countries), but they are still doing what everyone else is doing.
