This has to be one of the worst bits in the history of comedy. I don't watch SNL generally. The greats on that show are long gone, and it's devolved into safe, PC garbage. Drunk Uncle isn't even remotely edgy. He's literally just rambling on like a homeless drunk person would. This is so cringe it's ridiculous. No punchlines, and nothing topical. Just awful.
"That guy's on SNL and we would NEVER have him on the show." They've had him on several times since this and Opie now acts like Moynihan and the current cast of SNL are hilarious, even though it's all just as bad as Drunk Uncle.
Opie is the biggest fraud ever. He will bash some guy doing a CZcams video and as soon as that video goes "viral" he starts sucking the guys dick trying to get him on the show
99 percent of all drunks are this unfunny and make you feel this uncomfortable, so as far as straight drama goes it was a brilliant characterization. But as comedy, it sucked. Big time.

The drunk uncle us also a worse version of Dana Carvey l's grumpy old nan, but without the humor. The ending was painful too because you could tell he was throwing out every stale joke despaately trying to fibd some laugh that wasn't coming
