No. It will not have any positive or negative effect on the retina.
Is it necessary to check retina pre cataract surgery ?
Retina check up is part of full eye checkup usually done before cataract surgery. If cataract is too dense, then sometimes direct view of retina is not there, so we use ultrasound to see for any gross retina problems

Andhra Pradesh. Dr.Ji I suffered from Uveitis on March 2020 in my left eye. I got treated from LVPI and used Pred Forte eye drops as per prescription. Then i was cured after 10 months. Again I suffered with the disease and was treated for every 4 months till April 2022. Due to prolonged use of these eye drops I got cataract. I'm a teacher in KV and had to teach online for two years due to pendamic. Now on 15th November 2022 got cataract operation by Dr. Madhu.U a reputed doctor from Vision Tree hospital. But even after 15days vision is still blurred and cloudy. Dr. Please help me.

मेरे पिताजी का Cataract का ऑपरेशन 11 जनवरी 2023 को हुआ है और ऑपरेशन के एक घंटे तक उन्हे सब सही तरीके से दिख रहा था l लेकीन एक घंटे बाद जब आंख मे पहिली ड्रॉप डाली तब से उनको दुनधाला दिखना चालु हुआ है..
हमने दुसरे दीन डॉक्टर को बताया तो उसने बोला reaction हुआ है और कॉर्निया को सुझन आयी है...
और सुझन कम होने मे कम से कम एक महिना लगेगा .....
आपका सुझाव चाहिये की हम किसी और डॉक्टर से second opinion ले या एक महिना रुख जाये l

Any type of IOL can have these issues. It reduces with time and also with other eye surgery. No IOL available today is as good as our natural lens, so these issues can happen, but usually they reduce with time.

Sir, केटरेक्ट ऑपरेशन के समय जो लेंस लगाया उससे दूर का विजन क्लियर नहीं हुआ बाद में डॉक्टर द्वारा बताया गया की इसमें सिलेंडरी कल नंबर है इसलिए चस्मा पहनना होगा। जबकि पहले ही उन्हें बताया था की चस्मा नही चाहिए। अब क्या हो सकता है ? सर बताए क्या लेंस बदला जा सकता है।ऑपरेशन को अभी 20 दिन हुए है।

Eye pressure maybe high for a few days after surgery. Keep close follow up with your surgeon and get pressure etc. checked

Dr. Sab I am 62 years senior citizen and got operated right eye cataract surgery on 12th November 2021 in Govt. Hospital, Bhopal and after surgery followed all protocols and mandatory precautions, safety as advised and after one month got new number of spect but even then my vision is blur and the surgeon told me that your retina/parda has become weak and it is not curable and prescribed me pegtears eye drops to be used thrice in a day but still the problem remains same. Even the use of spect do not provide me clear vision. I apprehend that the surgeon might have implanted ordinary lens in my right eye which is developing problems. Can this lens be removed and replaced with new one or in alternate what would be the best solution please advise. Thanks in advance.

Dr you have given very good information about post cataract surgery....mujhe 26 June ko three months ho jayenge surgery ke lekin abhi meri ankh se blur dikhai deta n mujhe kucch floaters bhi dikhai deta hain...jo bahut teji se edhar udhar ghumate hain... mujhe apni ankh me comfortable feel nahin hota....meri problem ka kya koi solution hai aapki nazar se....ese thik hone me kitna time lagega... operation ke pahle mujhe floaters nahi the...abhi meri age 60 hai
Don't worry.
First get a retina checkup by a retina specialist. If retina is ok, then floaters will reduce on their own, but it may a variable time. Sometimes upto 2-3 years. Also get a second opinion if IOL is ok or not.

It may take upto 10 days sometimes. You can take a second opinion also.

सर, नमस्कार मेरे आँखोकी जाच की .cataract बताया है. प्रोस्टेट के लिये 4 सालसे दवाई ले रहा हू. डॉक्टर साहबसे यह बात बता दिया.डॉ.साहबने Iris floppy syndrome कि प्राब्लेम बताया. फॅको ऑपरेशन बताया.ऑपरेशन risky हो सकता है यह बताया.मै बहोत परेशान हू. सर आपले नम्र निवेदन है की है क्या करू . मुझे सही गाईड्स किजीये. आपका बहोत बहोत आभारी रहूंगा.

I was operated for catract in 2018 after the operation I could see a black curvy line at the end of my eye but for 1yr could see very clearly, but exactly after a yr I started getting floaters and gel like some thing in the eye my retina is in good condition dr said I chkd with another dr too. But this has no cure they say. Can you please tell me y this is happening.
