ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

It's model 9 mk 2. Model 10 is a completely different design, even the picture of the models you showed shows that lol.
This armor is also called the "neo classic" armor.
Model 9 mk 1 has small boots. Mk 2 has big boots.
Model 10 is his space armor that he wore during Operation: Galactic Storm. The helmet and torso are completely different on that model.
Well shit, I admitted I don’t know my armor numbers too well. I swear in that image it looked like the figure. I was probably stuck looking at the boots and not looking at the helmet.

That’s right?! There it is. I was looking for that. I knew I had it and couldn’t find it in the bin. I put it back in the packaging. Lol
This is memorable since it's what Stark slapped together after the Silver Centurion was destroyed. Hulkbuster is definitely the one for me if I can only have one this year to open, but this would look awesome on display MOC.
I love John Romita Jr. as an artist, but I hate what he did to this armor. This armor was cool and sleek, and JRJR came along, and suddenly Iron Man had these stupid paint cans around his wrists and calves, and every penciler afterward followed this example.

Definitely prefer the metallic colors, but the colors for this figure with this design feel like the figure came off the tv screen or comic book panel. Which is nice 👍
Will we have a version with the metallic colors though? I've been trying to complete my Iron Legion from my 1994 Ironman issue #300 but all my other Ironman figures were with the metallic versions.
I love how much of an improvement this one is compared to the other Model 09 figure. The Neo Classic armor is one of my favorite Iron Man designs, & I seriously need to get this figure.

I'm just happy with having a taller Neo Classic Iron Man. The marbling is not a huge deal-breaker to me.
If the legs were pinless I would definitely get this.
I love this ML Wave of Iron Man figure because they look like they walked right out of the cartoon... now imagine if we get an animated Tony Stark & Hulk animated series figures.

Sharty Primo!!! Your frustration is warranted! Lol Did you know this armor was retroactively designated "model 10"? It was officially "model 9" and simply because during this model's run, Romita Jr. took over artwork and laced us with the big azz clunky boots (which are totally ill equipped for fighting. Hell, even for walking). Stark never officially declared this as new or an "upgrade". It wasn't until Tony began doing his best Janet Van Dyne impersonations that Marvel retro designated this as Mk 10. It truly/technically IS "model 9".
I am happy with my previous A.I. Iron Man action figure.
I have that one too on my comic shelf but what armor model is it? I know Hasbro made the 20th anniversary Iron Man and they look similar but that one has a more classic helmet. Might have to grab that one along with this wave.

I prefer the metallic red and yellow paint looks as well.
i feel like the suggested intentional direction of the marbling may have something to do with gravity and the way the plastic sets in the mold. I went and noticed it on some figures after you mentioned it, and it seems a bit too imperfect to be intentional, but the symmetry must have an explanation

Its the Model 9 armor, aka Neo classic armor. Hasbro got this one right. Model 10 looks alittle different.
I actually dont mind the red/yellow deco for the earlier model armors such as this one. Its faithful to the comics.
I wouldnt mind a red/gold variant for these old armors like the Model 4 version we got. But anything before Modular, can be red/Yellow. After that, I expect a nice gold.
With that said, The Neo classic Armor is actually one of my favs.
I had the retro ver with the normal boots, but it was always too short.
So glad to have this one with the Mega Man boots, lol
Definitely prefer the more metallic look, but it depends on the armor a little. Earlier ones...red/yellow fits the earlier artwork.
I probably won't buy this one, but I do like it. It reminds me of the Iron Man from the old Captain America and the Avengers arcade game.

Yep, those colors on this figure and it woud have been perfect.
I like the neo classic armor and appreciate what Hasbro is going for in this retro wave, the colors are representative of the 95 action figure line (which I own the entire line) and so the more cartoon color is nearly exactly what the armors of that series looked, so for me all the armors are a must have as I’m an iron man fanatic, minus she hulk I have the entire wave in transit from BBTS, especially Whiplash which again represents the version is season one of the show
I'm sure Hasbro made this figure to be used as a small sentinel army builder. Add a new upper torso piece and you have a spot on Xmen arcade sentinel.
I wish Hasbro made this Iron Man the same color as the Modular Iron Man.

Also the previous model 9 mk 2 iron man was in the Epic Heroes marvel legends wave in 2013, not the iron man 3 wave. It was also rereleased in the first retro card wave with the smaller boots.
I do prefer the more Metallic red on the old one.

I appreciate both color ways but man, these plastics kill the figure for me, wanted this so bad, looks too cheap, I will wait till its like 12 bucks or something and hope it gets a better treatment later. The paint and plastic on the ROML version is superior imo. Excellent review bro!
The mislabeled model number doesn't bother me that much. What does bother me is the use of incredibly cheap plastic. It makes this look like a dollar store toy. I won't be wasting my money on garbage figures. Those vertical lines on his space-boots are mold lines, but yeah, the marbling is present everywhere else.
It's kinda wholesome how you're so critical of Hasbro with this armor since it's how you first saw Iron Man if I remember correctly

1:25 Have to disagree here. When Tony made his first armour GOLD in the comics it is specified that he made it gold despite the interior art being yellow, the obvious reason for this being the difficulty of coloring gold. This all to say that whenever Iron Man armor is colored yellow it is inteded to look gold, i can't think of any cases in the comics where any character says anything to counter this and plenty of times where the gold is reconfirmed. I can understand people wanting yellow versions because that color pops and is the one you see a lot, but canonically in universe Iron Mans armor is gold whenever Yellow is used.

In my mind I like the yellow more than the gold. Maybe it's just how I remember Ironman in the comics when I was a kid. But seeing the red and gold in the side by side, I like that better. Guess that's part of why I watch the reviews.
I don't mind the glossy colors. In fact, I like them. What I don't like is heavy costuming on the legs, big, bulky pieces around the feet just look stupid to me. I never liked it on Spawn and I sure don't like it on Iron Man. As for the incorrect model numbers, yeah, Hasbro should get that right.
The Model number problem isn't completely Hasbro's fault. It's kinda the Golden Avenger armor's fault because nobody is consistent with if It's Model 2 or Model 1 just in gold. Because even the comics aren't consistent with it.
Originally it was simply the Cave armor painted gold with an added skirt, so it wouldn't be scary to public.
But in later comics the Gold Armor shows up alongside the Cave Armor, even tho that's impossible if we follow the lore.
Long story short, Nobody knows what the Gold Armor Model number is so every other armor after is kinda screwed with it's Model number unless it's specifically stated by the writers or Marvel.
Actually, Shartimus, the old model 9 came in the Epic Heros wave and not the Iron Man 3 movie wave (insert Sud's voice here🤪)
This was my most wanted Iron Man armor, because it's the look from the 1991 Marvel Universe trading cards (and the comics around that time) which I collected in elementary school. I'm so disappointed they went with yellow instead of gold! I understand it's "comic accurate", but that's only because the ink pallet was so limited for printing comics at the time. We all know it's supposed to be gold! :(

I wanted an updated version of this armor but I honestly think this figure is terrible. The plastic looks cheap and the implementation of the shoulder pads is dated and terrible. Plus they still couldn't get the ankle rocker right.
He looks like a shampoo bottle. Hard pass. I can’t stand marbling.
The head is too big and the tony heads are way too big.
