As a Nigerian( btw I'm Yoruba) I don't think this is the proper method, okra soup is meant to be somehow slimy and the okra is meant to be chopped in really small prices or blended, but dicing it is a bit better...and u don't really add spinach to okra soup but okay...

I have nothing against the use of tomatoes, even though it's not traditional. If you were going the traditional way, it's not.
