- Join us aboard for our 21 day passage from Hawaii to Fiji!
We hoped for more wind along the way but we still had a great time with fresh fish, a 30th birthday, equator crossing, pierced ear, lightning squalls and a whole lot more.
International travel is not yet open to Fiji but they are encouraging cruisers with their "Blue Lane" initiative. We were so happy to be welcomed by the Fijian community after going through all the COVID entry precautions to ensure a safe entry into their beautiful country.

Great video. Looking to do the trans pac in a few years. The only critic I have is moderate your volume. It's becomes a problem scrolling the volume up and down between trying to hear your conversation and the blast of the music.
I have lost my attachment point to my spinnaker as well before. I made a Dyneema soft shackle for it and put it back in use. worked fine. I know yours was not salvageable, but info for future misshaps.
what was the name of the island that you couldnt stop at ? canton island ?
Yes it was called Canton Island!
22days. What were you averaging for speed?
About 3050 nautical miles so they were above 6 knots I would believe.
@@captainmike808 I had a trip from Tahiti to Alaska which was cancelled. So close to making that long haul. I have never been in the pacific and always wanted to go to Tahiti. Stopped at some atolls along the way then have the boat looked at in Hawaii and then the Northwest Passage. I will do it one day soon.
