Sobriety is beautiful 💜
Love this video! Would love to see more on sobriety.
@@westkootenaywild7658 Thank you! And thanks for your feedback I’ll definitely do more sobriety videos! 🥰✨
I almost slipped, but I can't lose what I've worked so hard for
@@miketoledo2895 You got this! You’ve already broken through barriers just by choosing sobriety and making it this far. Let the moment pass… I am 100% rooting for you!
I'm FUCKED up
46 days in. Hardest thing for me is the perceived events … holiday beer, airport beer, going out for dinner drink etc etc
Yes, that’s hard… but I’ll tell you this, is definitely gets easier! Keep pushing. 46 days is amazing! I’m rooting for you 🥰
Congrats!
How you holding up?!
Rooting for you im 2 days in this day 2
@@starchildofthe90s7 I messed up - a comment i left got deleted explaining what happened - managed 90 days and decided on holiday id treat myself and since doing so i have fallen back in to old habits - i cannot tell you how much of a disappointment it is. I honestly cannot tell you enough that if you make it a good way in to it (im talking + a month or so) then just really ask yourself if the drink you want is worth it - wish you the best and good luck!
4 months sober. I don’t miss drinking! So much more energy and I feel fresh inside out
Yessss! So happy for you! Thanks so much for watching and commenting :)
Right!?
I finally chose to save the rest of my life from being wasted, and I quit drinking today. I am so excited to enjoy all these positive outcomes in the coming years. 😄💗
I am so happy for you!!! That is absolutely amazing… sobriety is so beautiful. It’s the greatest gift we can give ourselves! Congratulations! I’m rooting for you my friend 🤍✨
@@carlylifting thanks for the encouragement. I'm fully ready to embrace sober life, I am excited and only see good things ahead. 💗💗💗
Prayers your journey has been filled with grace, self-forgiveness and successes in ways you didn't expect! ❤
I relate to 28. I get so hostile when I drink, mentally. I get to feeling awful and start dwelling on regrets. It's better I back off drinking. I stay level headed and my mood is positive.
So true for me as well… I would feed off of my own issues and drama and turn everything into a big fight/mess. Sobriety brings peace ✌🏼 that’s for sure. Thanks so much for commenting! I appreciate you 🤍
Ugh it’s the worst. At least we know with sobriety comes the promise of never having embarrassing drunken moments ever again. 🙌🏼
That’s awesome 3 years!! It’s crazy what it can do to people! I haven’t had a cold one since may of 2014... it changed my life. I lost 20 pounds, quit smoking, saved a ton of money, eating healthier. Overall it bettered me as a person. Family and friends know when they get drinks they know to get ice teas or Arnold Palmers for me lol
Congrats to you! That's so awesome. Sobriety is such a beautiful thing! I love me an Arnold Palmer lol!
I am going Sober for October and i am so affraid of Failure. I'm 59 and want to head into my 60's sober. I am a heavy drinker and i am hoping i can do this alaone. Thanks so much for your video. It really helps. Thank you! -Bob

6:46 Spirituality - They say that alcohol severely lowers one's vibration and level of awareness.
100% agree. I went through a spiritual awakening when I finally got sober. Alcohol definitely lowers our vibration!
These are all completely spot on. I’ve been drinking so heavily recently for all the wrong reasons and I’m SO excited to make a change. Everything you said resonated with me so so much. This is going to be amazing, 1 week in❤️Well done for your accomplishment and thank you for sharing.
Super happy for you! Sobriety is such a beautiful journey! Congrats on giving yourself that gift! You got this 🙌🏼✨💕
How's it going?
I managed to stay sober for 4 weeks in a row then relapsed twice. Alcohol has negatively impacted my life and I am determined to get off it for good. Thanks for this inspiring video

So much freedom and peace in sobriety indeed!

Sobriety is beautiful indeed. Almost four years in and despite all of the hard work and pain it is so worth it, friends! Thanks for putting this video together, Carly!
I wholeheartedly agree! Thank you for watching and commenting 🥰
But what should I do if my lifes stays miserable despite being sober for years?
@@ceooflonelinessinc.267 try reading books like The Four Agreements, It Didn't Start With You, The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck...addiction and alcohol use represent a deeper fissure in our heart and soul. Some past pain that needs to be found out and healed. It takes work, but the healing is possible.
Thank you so much for sharing. I just learned about your journey to being and staying sober and I am so amazed by how well you carry yourself now. I wouldn't have ever guessed this because your videos mainly are about health, nutrition, motherhood, family, and fitness. Everyone has struggles in life and I'm so glad your are sharing the benefits of triumphing yours. Seeing this is very inspiring to me, because you are such a wonderful role model, you are well-spoken about a very personal topic and you seem to be living your best life now! ❤️
You just made my day, thank you so much! I seriously appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. I struggled with alcoholism for many years and finally got sober March 2018! Thank you again for your support and kind words :)
Thank you Carly, you are truly inspirational and I admire how well you explain sobriety and other topics!
I randomly came across your channel today, have watched a few videos, liked and subscribed!
I am 6 months sober today, it's been hard at times, but it's the best thing I could have ever done for myself, my husband and my 2 great kids! I can totally relate to everything you said in your sobriety journey and in this video!
You should be a motivational speaker (maybe you are), you have such a bright yet realistic take on life.
Oh wow, that's one of the nicest comments I've ever received! Thank you so much for your kind words! 🥰 I truly appreciate that... And thank you so much for subscribing, that also means the world to me! I'm not a motivational speaker but I love sharing my story! It's people like you that keep me going... Congratulations on 6 months! That is a HUGE accomplishment! I'm so happy for you. Sobriety is such a beautiful gift. Thank you again for being here and I'm so glad to have you as a subscriber! 💕
Benefit #31 - if you have ppl you'd rather not hang out with but have to out of obligation, sobriety can make you a social pariah in their eyes. Win !!!!
Good one! Lol the list goes on and on!
much love! just found your channel. Last weekend I relapsed on many different drugs. Before that I was more than a month sober and I have really felt every point you said and had high energy throughout the most days. Now I feel extremely stressed, unconfident and like I will never reach full sobriety, but videos like this are giving me hope :)
I'm so sorry you hit such a low point... I've definitely been there. But you had a month, that's HUGE. Now you know how beautiful sobriety can be and how awful it feels to relapse... Relapses are most definitely a part of recovery... but they aren't ever worth it.Dust yourself off and get back to sobriety. You got this. I'm super happy for you for being here and watching this video, that means you truly care and aren't giving up. I'm rooting for you! xo

Great video, thanks a lot, you inspired me and gave me some new motivation to stay sober!
Thank you! This makes me so happy. You can do it 🥰
Great video. I'm almost 11 months in. Always good to remember all the costs/benefits to stay vigilant. And remember the trainwreck of consequences from alcoholism. Sleep, digestion, hydration, energy, moods, personal growth, $$$ etc
Amazing! Almost to that one year milestone 🙌🏼 Congratulations my friend, that’s awesome. I totally agree with you… and even after 4 1/2 years I still need to refresh myself on all of the benefits of sobriety and all of the garbage that comes with drinking. The fact that I haven’t had a hangover in almost 5 years is enough of a reminder sometimes! 🙌🏼😆 I don’t miss that at all lol. Thanks so much for watching and commenting, I appreciate you. As a social drinker, by far the hardest thing for me is not drinking at work (as a dancer), at bars, parties, etc., but it leaves me feeling out of control and ashamed. Something needs to change

It's taken me a lot longer to get things together than you. I used to average about 10 drinks every day for a few years, and I felt that was A OK at the time. A few years later and the hangovers get worse, and I see that any amount of drinking will blow your productivity, because even if you drink once a week, it takes at least a couple days to be back in full force. Well that's half the week = half the year = half your life. I could write a novel here but I'll leave it at that and say I'm happy for you and I hope I can be as successful. In the last 6 months I've massively curtailed drinking, and notice the cravings go to almost nothing, but over the last week I've drank a bunch and am surprised at how fast and powerfully the tentacles wrap around one's brain once again, and how the cravings (and all the other shit) comes back in full force. Really surprised.
It is insidious indeed and I know exactly how this feels. I struggled with the same thing, but am now almost four years sober. For me it was just changing my relationship with alcohol and like some relationships in life, they have to end and there is no going back. Life is better with it being my ex...if that makes any sense.
You’re absolutely right. It’s crazy how quickly we can become wrapped up in the grip of alcohol. You are already far ahead of a lot of people by recognizing the havoc it can wreak. I’m rooting for you. Sending my love! Thank you so much for watching and commenting 🤍

Hey carlylifts !
I’ve been sober for 2 years now and it’s been a life changing lifestyle for me. I’ve been using shopping and bad eating as a mechanism to keep myself in place. How do you get rid of toxic habits and replace them with new habits?
Hello! Thanks for watching and commenting! Replacing bad habits with healthy habits can definitely be difficult. I'd take it one step at a time! Start by setting small, realistic goals to slowly wean out the bad habits. For example, instead of shopping, commit to replacing one day a week of shopping with an hour at the gym... Starting small is key! Otherwise it can become daunting and overwhelming. You've already kicked the worst habit of them all so you're off to a great start!
thank you, respect
Thank you ☺️
That's real talk...
I'm getting back in touch with my spirituality,I'm native American,I want to burn sage, and smudge my self and my apartment, good vibes
I love that! Do it 🙌🏼 Exploring and deepening our spirituality is such an amazing way to keep the peace in our mind and soul.
Thank you
Carly 🌞❤
I've tried to be sober so many times from weed although when I'm sober I experience so many negative effects that don't go away even after 30 days such as I don't know what to do when I am happy and also my hands shake when happy and I misplace alot of things and get hallucinations when sober... is there a way to fix this
I would talk to a doctor if you can... I don't exactly have an answer for this. How long have you gone without it? My only guess would be that sometimes it can take longer than 30 days. Or maybe you can find a different alternative that can help you through the shakes. I can relate though... When I'm nervous or anxious my face twitches and it drives me CRAZY. I never experienced that when I was drinking.
RIP Carly. I loved your content. Maybe you Finally find rest from your addictions!
What? I didn’t die lmao
You did such a great job staying sober 😔 but unfortunately it got the best of you. Thanks to whoever is keeping this channel alive. You are helping others to stay sober! RIP young lady 🙏

I made it one week about 9 days and yesterday I got a shot of vodka and a seagrams 4% and I don't know why, I couldn't resist the temptation, I woke up feeling like trash! The problem im facing is feeling bored and depressed, thats y I bought the shot, any advice?
I totally understand... Just remind yourself that slip ups are a part of recovery... It's all about where you go from here. One little slip doesn't negate the work you put in those 9 days. Start fresh. Watch my video about tips to stay sober in early sobriety. Get to an AA meeting if you can. Hearing other peoples stories really helped me in early sobriety. Watch as much sobriety content on CZcams as you can. Try sparkling water or diet soda... I feel like having a non alcoholic drink in my hand weirdly helps. Just having something to sip on to fill that void. YOU GOT THIS!
@@carlylifting thank you
But what should I do if my lifes stays miserable despite being sober for years?
How Carly how long was it before you felt truly clear mentally and stable emotionally , etc no anxiety and all that
Hello! Thanks for watching and commenting :) I would say probably 2-4 weeks was when I really started to feel my mind clearing up...
💪🏼
Fighting my last battle
What do you mean by this?
I'll admit, I still indulge every other weekend, but slowly but surely starting to drift away from that. & christ?! Everyday drinking?! Hell no, id never even attempt that, lol.
Nevertheless, I'm proud of you, and I agree with all of what you just said, beautiful, and keep up the inspiration! 🤙🏿💯
Thank you so much! No shame in indulging once in a while! There's definitely a healthy way to enjoy a drink (if you're not an alcoholic like me lol) Me on the other hand... Nope. I had to give it up for good otherwise I have no control. Thanks so much for watching!
@@carlylifting You're welcome, I may have to upload a video myself 😊
Can you drink in healthy moderation and still experience all these benefits?
If you’re a normal drinker (not an alcoholic) I think you can definitely still experience the benefits (to a certain extent) *BUT* if you’re an alcoholic, I truly believe there is no such thing as moderation… It’s gotta go for good. I hope this helps! 💕
(Just my personal opinion)
@@carlylifting why can't you control and discipline yourself to 1 drink daily?
@@soloviolino An alcoholic’s brain is wired differently than one of a normal drinker. It’s like telling a heroin addict, “can’t you just shoot heroin once in a while? in moderation?” - it just doesn’t work that way for addicts. I’ve tried to “cut back” and I would always eventually end up back to extreme excessive drinking. So I choose to give it up entirely. It’s hard to fully understand if you aren’t an addict yourself but that’s ok! I appreciate you asking questions. That means a lot. 💕
@@carlylifting thanks for explaining Carly.
it makes a lot of sense.
