Today I chose to react on Robbie Williams - Angels (Live at Knebworth). This both performance and show was so amazing. His personality just shined through. I went to his concert so I know how amazing he is live. WOOW… I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH…. JUST INCREDIBLE.

@@Mr.Tin_88 it was every bit as emotional as it appears. He truly deserved all the praise. He’s a down to earth guy with enormous talent. He’s had his demons, but I respect him enormously. And at the time I was an interested admirer more than a fan. I still am.
Love this song. So damn beautiful! The lyrics and Robbie's powerful vocal delivery. Tears every time I hear it.

Me and my wife were there. We lived next door to Howard Donald who was in Take That with Robbie and we were guests of Howard at this gig.

Here’s my little story. In the late 90s I was working for a venue security firm. I was asked at the last minute to turn up at Hammersmith Palais in London for a concert I’m the morning. It was a Robbie Williams concert. I knew he was in Take That and admit to not knowing which one he was, that was about it.
A guy arrived with a lorry at the side of the venue and I escorted him into the stage area. He was with two other guys so I helped them get the metal crates onto the stage. I heard this voice say ‘alright fellas, what do we have now?’ I turned round and I joked something like I’ve got no idea mate, I’m just giving them a hand.
One of the other guys, who seemed quite taken aback explained what had been delivered. The young chap then turned to me and asked if there was anyone outside already. I replied yeah there was a few dozen, mostly girls. He then quipped something along the lines of “thank god for that”, told us thank you for all the hard work and told me he hoped I wasn’t too busy that night. Tapped me on the shoulder and walked off.
Yep, it was Robbie but I didn’t know. To this day I was gutted but I wasn’t really a big Take That fan. The funny thing was all the other guys did and one said fancy Robbie coming to thank us. They then howled when they realised I had no idea.
So Rebeka, you are right. He was a lovely down to earth young man even then and I found out later it was one of his first performances. I do recall him being friendly but looking really nervous. Obviously we now know why. I’m a huge fan to this day and I’d love to meet him again and recall his nerves that night to him.
My favourite track is Feel, it’s the soundtrack of my life and will be played at my funeral.

Is Robbie still pretty "unknown " in the US . I know a a decade or so again he was pretty much anonymous there judging by stories that I heard.
He is massive pretty much everywhere else due initially to being a member of Take That.

Robbie Williams has a lot of talent. I really like the track that he did with The Struts (another band you might like). Robbie never made it that big in America. He was on course after "Angels", but then he grossed everyone out with his "Rock DJ" music video (the one where he tears all his skin off - not kidding).
