CPA is too USA focused, the Regulation subject has practically no use in India. ACCA is IFRS, so still similar to indian laws, so more opportunities.

IFRS is useless around the globe. It's just a bundle of general concepts and principles. No details or rules for actual practical uses.

Companies like BIG 4 highly value US CPAs. 😂😂 in UAE Indian CA or US CPA earn more than an ACCA .. plus everyone is doing ACCA nowadays ..a lot of ACCAs are sitting here and working as normal accountants in local companies😂😂My friend recently got hired by PWC as audit associate with a package of 12k AED monthly without any experience required after he finished his US CPA exams.

There are opportunities with audit firms (mostly big4) looking for someone with PCAOB experience, usually in Switzerland, Netherlands and Ireland (due to lower taxes/other fiscal facilities, companies choose to have their headquarters in those locations and be publicly traded on a US stock exchange market). For more information, please visit pcaob.org and search a specific city in any worldwide location where an audit firm has their established headquarters for a particular country of interest and there you’ll see which firm has the most US public clients. Even in the UK the major accounting firms have a lot of PCAOB engagements and they would accept both ACCA and US CPA candidates/license holders. The US CPA can also be useful for internal audit, accounting or financial analysis in a Company that is publicly traded in the US (due to SOX, 10k, 10q reporting). Bottom line is that the US CPA is not a must, even Companies looking for candidates with PCAOB, US GAAP and SOX experience are fine with ACCA only.
