I made my command center a wireless set up and I also use the jbl 1’s .... the really cool thing about those speakers is the the app that allows you to run the volumes n the speaker .... game changer!!!

I use it for ceremonies, I have the dennon go mounted in it and it’s a 4 hour battery life I then run jbl wireless from there. I’ll send ya some pics next time I set it up.

Love it. I have a battery powered set up but it is not this clean! I still have XLR cables running to the speaker, would love to get rid of those as well and go full wireless

It doesn't matter how nice wireless is, there can always be dropouts. Even when I use paddles. Hate it.
@@DJJoeBunn @Nick Spinelli the dropouts thing is a part that's bugging me particularly for any outside events. I'm trying to choose good gear but should I even bother with wireless mics and just do the wired direct into the battery setup?

We also have a setup similar to this and I love it! EXCEPT! When the video people show up and want to run all kinds of 15' wires coming out of the speaker with the zoom recording hanging all over the place. Absolutely hate that, looks so sloppy. :(

Hi Joe! The Sennheiser dongles appears to have one in the wireless mic receiver and one in the speaker. How is the audio getting to the speaker wirelessly?

@@DJJoeBunn He put one dongle in the back of the wireless mic receiver. Then put the other dongle in the speaker. That would transmit only what came thru on the mic, correct. Then how is the music from his laptop making it to the speaker if he is using only the dongles and no xlr from the mixer?
@@davidclodfelter534 The music is played via an RCA cable out of the headphone jack of an ipad or using Bluetooth from the ipad.

The second set up seems like overkill why not just plug the Sennheiser into a microphone for handheld use or for lapel use there are similar units which go direct from a bodypack for the lapel to a receiver that plugs directly into the powered speaker.
