The final WELL DRILLING episode...

This is the last of our Well drilling episodes, (4 in all) and it's a time lapse since there was a LOT of drilling through bedrock to reach the final depth of 140 feet. At 140 feet, we hit a fracture where the water was clean and clear, but only flowing at 1 to 2 gallons per minute. We had the option of drilling deeper or fracking the fizzure. The cost of fracking was $2000 versus not knowing how much farther down we'd need to go. We chose fracking and it paid of. BIG TIME. We ended up with a 15 to 20 gallon per minute flow and the water level in the well was at just 15 feet below the well head. Total cost including the pump and installation/hook up to the house was just under $15,000.
