How can anyone not give Blondie thumbs up for her grrrreeaat videos of China and courage for tasting all the fabulous food most westerners wouldn’t dare to try!! 👏👏🇨🇳👍
I live in Los Angeles and eat these foods all the time, but I think LA is the largest population of Chinese outside of China. These look sooooo good though.
No animal innards or insect parts, so who wouldn't dare to try it? Those wide noodles looked delicious. Amy eats some wonderful things. Wish Amy could go eat with Yan from Little Chinese Everywhere.
@@Moksha-Raver this is not the only vid she made. In previous episodes she tried things that were pretty off the paths that grossed out lots of western people
她比大多数中国人对中国各地了解都要深
Because shes an ASIS spy
Once again, props to your white top for surviving this meal unscathed!! ❤
😂😂😂😂
Her white top will outlive the sun it is that strong 💪
As a Northern Chinese student living in the Midwest of the U.S., I feel so hungry at night when watching this Vlog!!!
美国欢迎你!
10:30 Hahhah love their "oops" faces when they realize she's filming🥲 And the guy's decision anxiety lmaoo
Having three noodles in Xi’an for a day, this can make you feel warm in the snowy weather.
她真的比我还喜欢吃面!不过陕西就是到处吃面,我喜欢宝鸡的面食
actually, the mutton soup with bread is really interesting. The size of bread piece can completely change the texture of the whole dish, and the reason deal with the bread by yourself is that different people can choose your own texture preferences. Also the flavour of the dish will change over time, because the bread is changing its taste as it absorbs the soup. its so tasty and joyful.
We can really see the Arabic influence in this last dish ! The bread, the mutton mixed with the broth and the tofu really represents the culture mix in Xi An
I m already 75 n l have been taking raw garlic for more than 45 years every 2 meals daily. I used to chop It into tiny pieces n mix with chilly or tomato sauce. Raw garlic is the best food n it has been proven medically to prevent many diseases. ❤ from Malaysia.
I watched a bunch of your videos before moving to Hangzhou in January, and I have to say, you made me a lot less nervous about China. I love watching these videos and now I just really want to go to Xi'an when I have a break from work 😅
Happy to hear that!
The pickled garlic is called 糖蒜, it is marinated with sugar and other stuff. Somehow it removes the spicy taste from the garlic. The only thing is... you will smell like garlic in the next hour or two...
10:31 they guy at the back was so cute 😂
i was gonna say the girl also looks really cute too
yeah he’s super hot. ❤❤❤❤ he should have his own show
8:42 this one is much cuter
I absolutely love your videos, they always make me want to travel to China
welcome
Come! Why not! Just do it!
Since a restaurant serving liangpi opened in my area about two years ago, it's become one of my favorite foods.
Unfortunately, there's no one place you can get the combination of liangpi and roujiamo near me -- the only way to get it here is to order roujiamo to go from one of the several restaurants that offer it, and liangpi to go from the one restaurant that serves it.
My favorite restaurant here in Milan's Chinatown is called X'ian, the liangpi and beef roujiamo are my favorites. I've seen the lamb and bread soup, next time I'll definitely give it a try! Thank you for sharing this mouthwatering episode😘🥰😍
Xi'An is my favorite region for noodles! You're living my dream!!!
Amazing video as always, Amy. I love how enthusiastic you are
Thank you so much!!
@@BlondieinChina ❤
liangpi(rice noodle with multiple sauce), biangbiangmian(wide wheat noodle with multiple sauce), yangroupaomo(lamb soup with shredded mo bread and fensi noodle), roujiamo(mo bread stuffed with shredded fatty pork), tangsuan(pickled garlic)
The BiangBiang mian looks absolutely delicious, and the Yangro Paomo, wow! Amy's videos are always not only entertaining but also deliciously informative! Hope more people support you through BetterHelp but being on the move so often, you should learn some martial arts, like the usual gongfu or qigong, Taichigong, etc. Surely you can get some great grandmasters to teach you.
Xi'an is my hometown. This made me want to go back and visit soon. I haven't gone back to visit for a long long time.
😲 cream colored sweater for eating chilli noodles!!?? Wow!! Make a video on staying clean!! My wife always tells me i need a bib!
Central China was cold lately. Just spent a month in the icebox of Hunan. Huge ice storm, broken trees everywhere. Then snow. Then 28C. Then more below 0.
Wanted to go to some of your recommendations in Changsha, but the great firewall of China prevented me from checking the names 😂 So, I just ate rural villiage food.
Need to go to Xi'an some day! Thanks for the vid.
I had no appetite for lunch until I opened this video which just made me cook a pack of instant noodles to go with! Good job Amy!
I saw one Chinese in Canada was trying to make Biang Biang noodles with what they have. He bought some lasagna, cooked it and cut it into ribbons and then put some Maxican dried chilli flakes on the cooked noodles then pure boiling hot oil into the bowl, put soy sauce to make it salty, then eat. MSG is also recommended.
The guy is pretty creative but I sorry to say that's not going to cut it. Lasagna texture is totally different from that of Biang Biang noodles though they are all made from flour. There are quite a few decent videos in YT, I have tried a few times following their teaching and results are good, ie about 80-90% of the restaurant quality.
Amy has videos of her making it by herself, and she does it very authentically.
Lasagna noodles in a stir fry!
It's not biang biang mian, but improvisation based on locally available ingredients is one way new dishes are created. In particular, I'm reminded of a New Orleans Creole dish called "yakamein" which is a local adaptation of Chinese beef noodle soups, made with spaghetti noodles.
@@Moksha-Raver You don't stir fry Biang Biang noodles. You boil them and pure hot oil over chilli flakes. You'd be surprised how good it smell.
Finally, we are talking about mental health. This is a topic that is close to my heart and I am strong advocate for mental health parity.
oooh i love Xi'an!! My bf's family lives there and i had the pleasure to live there for about 6 weeks last year, was really so much fun!!
It is always enjoyable to see Blondie to show us the food in China. Your smiley face makes the food more tasty.😊
The opening shot was beautiful.
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I walked out of my hotel in the morning and saw that view!!!
Chinese pickled garlic is quite common in North America. They are usually in a small glass jar. You can get them as Asian or Chinese or Vietnamese grocery stores.
I grew up with it on the table, it was from an Iranian store for me.
Woah, in Spain you can find them is all supermarkets. Pickled food in general is very very common: corn cobs, chili's, onions, carrots, soy sprouts... 😊
Pickled food is also in Austria a big thing. We have in Supermarkets an aisle or a shelf just for that. 🙂
@023 You're from Austria? Good to know, but I'm talking about Chinese pickled garlic though.
@@iamluyu Really? I didn't know. But I'm talking about Chinese pickled garlic.
I went to Xi'an Famous Foods in NYC where I had liang pi and roujiamo. That meal lives rent-free in my head. I'm SOOOOOO happy you are back in Xi'an and I look forward to more Xi'an-based food recommendations!!
The way I wish I could reach through my screen and snatch these bowls right out from under you, their food is amazing 😭😂
Your video on Chongqing inspired to go there week after next week. Thank you Blondie!
Hope you enjoy it! Chongqing is so fun!
🍜😋 Join the noodle adventure! This video takes us on a delicious tour through Xi'an, indulging in three bowls of noodles in just one day. A mouthwatering journey that's sure to leave you craving more! 🌟
My favorite is Biang Biang Noodles. It is all the rage now for me. I love the searing hot oil and hearing the sizzling of the ingredients and noodle coming together! 🍜
So good! And fun to make at home too!

Just brilliant to show us a wintry side of this fantastic Ancient Capital city of China🎉👍👍👍 kudos to Amy!!!

I visited Xian in mid October autumn, lovely historical city . I tried the sumptuous dumpling feast of 8 different types of dumplings, don't know whether still selling in restaurants now..

I miss Rou Jiamo and Liang Pi so much, jealous!!! You can only find the most authentic Rou Jiamo and Liang Pi in Shanxi.
Great video as usual! Excited to see the Arabic influenced food and halal food!!
That last dish looked so delicious I’d use a spoon. Thank you Blondie for taking us on your wonderful adventures. I wish you the best for you new therapy sessions. ❤ a big fan from the north shore in Sydney ❤
Love blondies videos! Keep it up! ❤❤❤
❤ your positive energy. 🇸🇬👌
Love this series already! I realized as I was watching that we have a restaurant nearby (outside Boston) that serves the third dish you showed. They just call it “lamb stew” so I always passed it by. Definitely going to give it a try now!
Another great video❤❤❤
Thank you! 🤗
🤤🤤 omg everything looks so good
A lovely video about tasty noodles beautifully tied together! :D

You really make me wanted to eat more noodles...🤤😅
OH YES ANOTHER VIDEO ! ! !
The mutton soup with bread is my father’s favorite dish and he always eats it with garlic. Sadly, I can’t get it anywhere close to me. Brings back memories! Thank you for this video! Noodles are my favorite.
My hometown!
Brave wearing a white cashmere to a Mipi feast😂
小妹真的能吃完嘛?佩服🙏☺️
It's still amazing.
Please update more of these videos. Looking forward to your updates🥰🥰🥰
Cheers to you.
The chili oil sandwich looks absolutely amazing.
Really enjoy your video! But Betterhelp?! Really? A company sold patients' data to advertisers for ad targeting?
On top of that they hire people who are not certified or are othervise educated in being a support perosnq and that have been downright dangerous to some of the people who have used them
Been to Xian once, it's amazing how much variety of noodles they have!
Your vlogs are 🔥
Gosh, I'm a fan . ❤😂😊 from indonesia with love
The pickled garlic is known in the US. If pickled correctly, it has a sweet taste to it. No sugar is added during the curing process.
we were there in july and it was amazing as well. but gained a bunch of weight, carbs really killed us way more than all the lamb in inner mongolia and ningxia, gansu, qinghai and xinjiang.
Amy, you make a very good reporter, much better than many I see on TV. 😀
Super glad you enjoyed the food here, though it is late already…welcome to my homecity❤
Awesome ‼️
So much good noodles!
What an absolute beauty you are!
pickled garlic is candy to me!
It is amazing you always managed to find the goofiest moment and use it as the cover!😁
Really enjoy the video and keep it up!
Awesome ‼️😋
I drooled while watching this video. I love Xi'an food so much. I stayed in Xi'an for a brief two months many years ago and I couldn't have enough of xi'an food. It is the heavon of carbs. The noodle is so flavourful, and roujiamo is absolutely a must try. The pork in it is very juicy and not smelly at all.
Noodle dishes are my favorites!! I wish I could try everything you had today (except the mutton..I have a hard time with lamb :\ but you said it was amazing so it makes me want to reconsider)
I would never have guessed you have anxiety. Thanks for sharing and glad you got sponsored. Love your videos and food travels
Omg, I love the biang biang mian so much. There was a really classic one in Melbourne but it closed down during lockdown. 😢
my parents are from xi'an and i've never been able to visit, but i've loved all the xi'an food i've had in the states and your videos make me want to go so bad!! it looks so good
Good video mate
Thanks for sharing. I made a mistake eating a beef Roujiamo, and then immediately went for the same type of noodle you had. My stomach was already bloated after eating the beef Roujiamo and was struggling to finish the noodles after three mouthfuls, I gave up.
艾米, 每次看你吃什么,这么真好吃!真羡慕。😄
that's Whack bang... your vids are on jets, keep going
