When a parody trailer is better than the actual show.
Among all the awesome shots taken at this show, "Kirkland Brand Aragorn" is one of the most savage lines I've seen in an Honest Trailer is forever.
It is! But if it says Kirkland it will be top quality.

The thing at the end about defiling Tolkiens corpse is because Amazon shit on everything Tolkien ever wrote. They twisted absolutely everything.ROP gets a 1/10
But it said "WARNER BROTHERs' defiles Tolkien's corpse", not Amazon. Warner Bros. did Peter Jackson's movies, not Amazon's "Rings of Power". It maybe has to do with warner Bros. capitalizing on the Rings of Power coming out to sell their "Web3 Movie Experience", but I still find the joke... unclear.

@@ComeAlongKay You're right. That's why it should have read "Amazon Defiles Tolkien's Corpse", not Warner Brothers. Jackson (at Warner Bros.) actually respected Tolkien. Assuming that they meant to say "Amazon" and not "Warner", in the "defiling the corpse" line, the Warner ad just made who they were actually taking aim at a little less clear. That's all I meant. These days you never know. Some people have tried to argue that Amazon's series was BETTER than Jackson's movies! 😕 Obviously I disagree.

My grandmother had an English accent or so I was told (I couldn't hear it, being exposed to it my whole life), but I never noticed her top lip not moving... maybe that's just what acting coaches tell actors/actresses to help them emulate a British accent.
Just saw a post from Reel rejects about copyrights issues. Have you considered combining your content and publishing it on your own website. You could then reach out to other youtubers and build something similar to Netflix or Disney+ with zero copyright issues

Just FYI, Costco (and therefore Kirkland) is an international company with a bunch of locations all over the planet.
Not that you said otherwise much but there is a difference between the big studios making the big tentpole projects and huge (evil) companies that are some of the biggest in the world, that just happen to have an entertainment division.

@@jaytaggert2335 I think I missed it, but his rrr review was very positive and relevant to these guys unlike his other critiques, calling out Hollywood, well most of them.
I’m not so sure The Critical Drinker is a great critic. He’s too fixated on his whole “MESSAGE” conspiracy theory within Hollywood. After a while, it just gets too hate-y and weirdly boring. It’s just review after review dunking on every new movie or series with a female or black lead except for the ones where he waxes nostalgic about older movies with female or black leads. He seems to be predicated on “I love to hate” (his fandom practically reeks of this), and would polarise Jaby’s channel (which usually has more wholesome and positive vibes) and its viewers, honestly. Nando v Movies did a great takedown of Drinker’s channel in his She-Hulk video.
He’s always angry for some reason but I understand who his target audience is.

When i saw the movie i was amazed by it then i discovered that there tolkien scholars and it really does exist. At that point whoever tries to do a tolkien show will have a beating and this show shows how stupid the makers is fighting against the scholars lmao
I enjoyed the lore and the story as a whole but i dont care about the characters (except for Durin, Elrond, Nori, and the Stranger). And there was really a lot of fluff in between. The writing really is the problem.
I enjoyed the show but it was kind of off at some points so your telling me that Galadriel gave basically the leader of the Taliban the nuclear launch codes and didn't tell the other Elves.

I feel like if I watched it all at once, I would like it more. Like a lot of shows recently. Sci-fi, fantasy and superhero shows make the mistake of not just dropping entire seasons Netflix style. idk, binging Ms Marvel would have been better. Idk about She-Hulk. Loki was good enough to not need to be dropped at once, Wandavision too. idk just a thought for some of them.
Yeah I was struggling to get through the show. And there was like a lot of I AM THE CHOSEN ONE moments for like every character which was so annoying.
My problem with the show is half the time i don't know what they were talking about 😂😂

I love Tolkien! Love love love! I read all his books every year, including The History of Middle Earth! He is an amazing writer but he does repeat his plots points a lot!! I mean there’s a dozen of rescue by music, losing hands, etc in the Silmarillion! And the names, oh God, when he likes a name he gives to all the characters! There’s a hundred of Fins and Els!! So many of them!
Woke TV today is SO bad. Most of the shows they cancelled in the 2000's were mountains better than anything we have today.

You can stay literally forever without US citizenship. As long as you have some sort of document. My aunt has been living in the States for 30+ years and isn't a citizen. She never wanted to give up her Canadian citizenship.

If she'd said I'm American, and then said I'm not, it would've been a direct contradiction. But she said I'm TOO American, which implies too American to have a stiff upper lip, but also not American enough, so she can say I'm not American, i.e technically she isn't.

It wasn't a bad show, it was Okay .
This was a shit show. Tolkien's LOTR was a masterpiece . It was a slow burn. But it was much more than a novel . It was a legendarium. This one is just slow and boring soap.
