For those who are really wondering why upper and lower Egypt are reversed, the reason is due to the fact that geographically the Egyptian hinterland is higher from sea level compared to the part closest to the Mediterranean coast.
Yes! From what I understand, a lot of it has to do with the fact that the Nile river flows into the Mediterranean, thus requiring that the closer to the Mediterranean you are, the lover you are.
Upper Egypt is farther up on the river

Similar to Lower Saxony and Saxony in Germany or Dialect Groups (Lower German, Central German and Upper German)

Continents, strictly speaking from a purely geographically sense, are indeed just very big islands. There is nothing which actually makes them different from what is commonly called an island. So, if one want to consider also continents as islands, which in a sense isn't incorrect, then indeed the biggest island, and by far, on the world is Euroafrasia. The second place, still pretty big but way less than the first one, would instead be America.

the grass in the center of new york actualy has some pretty interesting lore. in the early 90s (+- 330 years) people used to go on boats to scout the land for suitable city building land. but since nyc was constructed from the coast to the center they didnt see past the first few blocks and then stopped building city when the city got in the way of the center, so they left the center as untamed wilderness
the upsides in using boats for this task were emense for example, boats were involved, people went on the boats to be involved, boats look cool,
however when the newest generation started using sattelites back in the 1700s the boats became useless. but due to all the smog generated from people smoking the sattelites became useless and now we launch then as tradition. but luculy for the boats a mongolian inventor named Greggory McCarface heard there were boats on the sale for cheap, so he bought them and put engines on the boats to invent the car to produce smog so the sattelites became even more useless, but then people started using the newly invented "car" to move around instead of poluting so McCarface returned back to mongolia where he lived to the ripe old age of 24, setting a new personal record for him.

My understanding is that Finnish and Estonian are like German and Dutch, while Hungarian would be equivalent to Spanish in that analogy. Obviously related but way different.

The reason why Upper Egypt is in lower Egypt is because upper Egypt has a higher elevation, so it's basically based on the direction the Nile flows.
It's the same with the Rhine river in Germany.

As the guy living in the region that caused 3 wars, I'm laughing at it.
Because sure, the Hauts de France region might be well-known for its mining, but the Lorraine region (which is part of the 3 wars region) was well-known for its stell industry in the past.
