    This just happened to me a couple days ago! My winter pants accidentially moved my engage PTO lever as I was getting off the tractor. It had me scratching my head of a few minutes before I figured it out. Nice work on showing the switches. !And the jumper wire... Priceless!! Cheers, Mitch!

    This is so useful. That PTO lever gets me often when I’m snow blowing. I usually have baggy snow pants and a big jacket that hooks in it. I like the idea of the get outa jail free wire! Will save you to get the job done. Cheers, Mike.

    Great information for sure. I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve went to start my tractor and it does nothing because I’m leaning my foot on the treadle pedal. 🤦‍♂️ Knowing the switches is valuable for quick fixes. Good job!

    I have an older Kubota L3400 from around 2009. The PTO lever is much smaller and is positioned on the right side and to the back, so you have to reach behind a bit to get to it. It also has a detent you have to move the lever around in order to engage it. It's a little difficult to engage, but you have to mean to do it. Weird that they put it someplace so easily engaged on accident on that model.

      @MJADoingStuff  Před 8 měsíci

      Happens a lot more in the winter because of the heavy clothes 🥶the B2601 has a small detent to but is not hard or big enough to stop it. Thanks for sharing your experience and watching. Have a good one. 😁👍🚜💨🍳

    The seat safety switch on my L4701 is a 3-wire switch. I haven't tried to find the schematics for the tractor, but I suspect it's either supposed to detect a switch fault or that you're trying to cheat it. I don't think it would be the seat lift switch for the PTO since it can't detect that the seat is tipped forward. There are definitely times I've wanted to cheat the seat detect temporarily while trying to creep forward and standing up to see where the dang forks or bucket edge is.

    • @MJADoingStuff
      @MJADoingStuff  Před 8 měsíci +1

      3 wires that is interesting 🤔 I have that same problem looking and standing too. Sometimes if I remember I put one hand on the arm rest to keep the switch down. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts have a great weekend 😁👍🚜💨🍳

    Super helpful! Question? would you know where the Ass'y Safety Control unit module is located on a DK 4210? (I already looked under the seat)
    Thanks

    Is the seat switch only applicable when running the PTO? I ask because I can be off my tractor and operate the bucket(hydraulics)and move the tractor(hydrostatic). So the lower two switches, one is for the pto and the other is for hydrostatic? I appreciate the videos!

    • @MJADoingStuff
      @MJADoingStuff  Před 6 měsíci

      The hydrostat treadle pedal has a switch that is pressed in when in the neutral position so it will cut off the engine if you are not setting on the seat when you start to move the tractor. But it is normal to be able to use hydraulic off of the tractor

    • @MJADoingStuff
      @MJADoingStuff  Před 6 měsíci

      I can move my tractor when off the seat for about 3 seconds before it shuts off the engine

    It is far too easy to hit the PTO lever on most tractors when getting on/off. The jumper wires are a good idea
