When I was an apprentice in the '60's one of our tutors told us that unless we shared our work knowledge / skills with others, the knowledge will be lost. He taught us all he knew and asked that we pass on that knowledge to others throughout our working life. I honoured his request, so it was good to see you passing on tips to the students...

Super cool project, you are awesome for sharing your knowledge as well! Awesome that the students get real world experience and the buildings go to a good cause.

Soo badass man!! I’ve been doing big residential custom homes since 15 years old( Concrete Foundation/ Structural) I’m 23 now and am really interested in framing! But I wouldn’t want to transition out of fear of starting from the bottom and my pay being decreased by 40% lol

Love the video, I was in trade school a couple years ago and went to SkillsUSA. Its always good to have someone that knows what they are doing. Its great that you are showing them how its done. We need more people that want to be in the trade.

Way to go man, a lot of these younger guys don't get the mentorship they deserve. Often times they end up having to learn on their own, sometimes developing habits that are productive but more frequently, I think, developing bad habits.

Dope video man!! I’m currently attending trade school in Los Angeles and finishing up my first semester for framing just like these young cats just wanted to appreciate you showing your experiences and putting it up on CZcams. I gain a lot of knowledge and tips and put them into practice .
    Keep up the great work!

Very nice dude I would love it if a place like this was near me. Been working in the trades close to 5 yrs now but I feel like anyone with beginner to intermediate skills/background can improve their efficiency, knowledge, and technique from a place like this!! 👍👍

It’s sad that just 30 years ago these skills were looked down upon as only suitable for lower class people. I’d kill to be 20 years younger and learning a grade bc I know I’d be incredibly happy

I would agree, but this school teaches them to do it this way since it isn’t required by code and uses more materials
