Thanks Clint...I was on the fence between this and theTopeak PT30 but your vid clearly showed me this was the tool I need for basic trail repairs.
Been using one of these for years. Fantastic unit that is darn tough and durable.
Good video! I'm a little surprised the maker doesn't include some sort of guide or instructions with the tool. Thank goodness folks like you are willing to take the time to detail the product and its uses.
I agree. I've been using various Crank Bros multi tools for a decade. I also keep them in a plastic baggie because they can rust a bit if you cycle in wet conditions regularly.
I used to have that. I now use the Topeak Mini P20. Smaller, includes a chain breaker and it also has a tool to remove a quicklink.
I got the M20 with the tools and plugs for tubeless repair integrated into it. I think it’s fantastic and has everything I could need in one tool. Only downside is the loss of a case for the whole unit. But I found a work around by sticking it in a sock.
I’m a very casual biker and was given one of these. Only used it once, but was great to have!
I love this multi tool. That being said, due to size, I run the ONE up tools on each of my bikes but keep this for longer rides or areas i may need the extra tools on this.
thanks. I use my multi-tool so rarely that I have come to keep it in an old sock, inside my pack. It is heavy and gets bashed around for months on end: the sock helps pad it, and adds little bulk and no weight.
Didn't see this point mentioned in the video or the comments:
Helpful review...thank you.
I’ve enjoyed my Topeka Hexus X. It’s handled every issue I’ve had on the trails. Luckily I usually end up using it on my friends bikes rather than mine. Seems like the chain tool is the most used feature. My buddies ignore chain maintenance it seems.
Great content!😊
Good job!
They need to redesign the chain tool. Compare a Lezyne, Topeka, or Parktool and they all come with a second "shelf" for decompressing the outer links.
just got mine. thanks
I like the m20 with the tire plugs
Good video
Can't the chain tool also be used as a presta valve removal tool? I believe it can using the outside round opening.
Had to loctite the 4 bolts that hold it all together. kept vibrating apart in my kit.
