- At 2,501.9 metres (8,208 ft) above sea level, Säntis is the highest mountain in the Alpstein massif of northeastern Switzerland. It is also the culminating point of the whole Appenzell Alps, between Lake Walen and Lake Constance. Shared by three cantons, the mountain is a highly visible landmark thanks to its exposed northerly position within the Alpstein massif. Six countries can be seen if the weather allows: Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, France, and Italy.
Man, I wish the trails in Colorado were as well marked as those were
That's the beauty of harder trails in Colorado. Then again, it would be hard to mark some technical routes.
Dr. Foor. I hope you’re still hiking. I suggest if you have it in you-mt Olympus in WA-42 miles round trip-or mt. reinier-a challenging 14er which I know you love. I keep coming back to your channel for inspiration. Thank you so much for all you do
I am hiking. In fact, I have a BIG announcement coming in a short few weeks. If you would like to know what I'm currently working on, please head over to Instagram @fooryoursuccess! I promise it's worth it.
Hi there! I watched one of your videos at Red Rock Canyon 7 years ago and now you're in Switzerland. How amazing! I'm 29 and fell in love with hiking after moving close by to Red Rock. I completed every trail except Bridge Mountain. I'm somewhat scared to do that one. I hope I can be like you when I'm older.
I can absolutely relate to all the upsides and downs. Thank you for bringing this video to us and for being able to enjoy the journey along the way. As someone who was truly into hiking, adventures, and the outdoors, I somehow lost this by living in the city. Thank you for creating this video and sharing it with us. All the best and wish you good luck on your journeys.
Thank you for writing. It’s very easy in our world to get stuck in the modern easiness of modern city life. Always find a way to be in a little nature, even if its a city park.
Absolutely agree that hike looked awesome, just the correct amount of technical trail with epic views. Thanks for sharing a new hike/fast pack for the bucket list…🤙🏽
This hike is worth the effort to loop. Lots of places to refuel and enjoy some solitude.
81 Like merhaba kardeşim güzel video 🙋🏻♀️☕👍💯✅
The cowbells are just great. The hike looked epic and I’m definitely jealous. Show some of the dancing if you’re comfortable with it!!
Perhaps one day I'll share some dancing videos. :-)
Great meeting you yesterday at the base of the incline! I'm excited to see all of your New Zealand content!
Hey Matt! Thanks for the note and congrats on your completion of the 14ers! Send me a DM if you'd like to go for a hike sometime.
@@FoorTrek Thanks! I'm absolutely down to go for a hike sometime. Right now I'm getting ready for an inclineathon sometime next week, so anytime after that is good for me. Maybe I could join you for a barr camp run. How should i DM you? Do you have a strava or garmin connect?
Yeah, I’m curious about the dancing also!
As you were approaching the top of that mountain we could see this structure up ahead.
I thought for sure that was some lair of an evil James Bond villain. But no, just tourists.
I’m really enjoying your Alps hiking adventures.
I’ll never get to see it in person but your videos along with vids from other people also show everything so well! I also enjoy all of the driving in the Alps vids that are available.
It DOES look like it's a 1970's James Bond evil lair doesn't it? I did not see Jaws (nor Bond) chasing down innocent bystanders. :-)
Super video! Sending good wishes from Thün, Switzerland! I sincerely hope you enjoyed your stay and I hope you return again soon!
Thank you. I really had a fabulous trip and loved this hike.
Sure glad I decided to find out why I haven't been notified of new FYS videos for quite a while today... (Algorithm in reverse?). Did a ye olde you tube search and found this fantastic video to get back into the adventures. I've never been to Switzerland or anywhere near it. That summit complex kinda' puts the new Pikes Peak summit complex to shame. 😎
Glad you were able to watch it! Time to make Switzerland a reality and see it for yourself!
Alpstein is always amazing. It seems like you started at Ebenalp? I did almost the same hike the other way around a couple years ago. Starting from Wasserauen, then to Seealpsee, from there to Säntis and then form there to Ebenalp. As a grew up in St. Gallen, the Säntis is like my house mountain. And Seealpsee is one of my favorit places. Greetings, Benjamin
Hi Benjamin! Yes, I started at Ebenalp. It is such a beautiful area and I was fortunate to spend some time in St. Gallen as well. I hope you will enjoy my other hiking videos as well. :-)
@@FoorTrek Cool, did you like St. Gallen? And did you go to Peter and Paul? It's the oriigin of most capricorns (see czcams.com/video/gFZdYiR5ZVE/video.html if you're interested bout the histroy of them)
Yes, totally awesome.
Heck YA
You are totally correct - this hike is "epic." It's obvious you are not affected by acrophobia! And, of course, I'll make home cooked popcorn whenever you want!
Make sure you put some salt on that popcorn!
Miss you man!
The mountains look amazing there❤..-shout out from Patrick , we talked on Barr trail I was heading to lake morraine..it was a very scenic trail loved it alot and the Lake was absolutely amazing 💪
Hey Patrick! Thanks for reaching out. Great to meet you along your journey. Some of the new trails in the Pikes are are stunningly beautiful!
When can we expect a new adventure?
Haven’t heard from you in a while, hope all is well
Why haven't u posted anymore?
Yeah, you're right: I am kinda jealous haha
It's all good. :-)
Where have you been?
It's a fair question Tom. I've got amazing content. Just haven't been posting.
@@FoorTrek stay safe!
Why did you stop making videos?
I'm sorry I haven't posted recently. In fact, I have a BIG announcement coming in a short few weeks. If you would like to know what I'm currently working on, please head over to Instagram @fooryoursuccess! I promise it's worth it.
