- Upgrade your WiFi with the Asus ZenWiFi Pro ET12 router! Say goodbye to dead zones and slow internet with this ultimate WiFi upgrade for your shop.
In this short video I discuss how much I like the Asus ET12 Wifi router and Mesh system. Its been a huge upgrade to the Wi-Fi signal in my shop 125' away from the house. This system has tripled my signal.

Hello! Thank you for making this video, very informative. I am in a similar situation where my shop is approx. 200 feet away from my house and i would like to know if the 2nd node would still receive adequate signal from the main node connected to the modem at my house. Have you tried locating the 2nd node farther away from the 125 feet? I would love to hear back from you and your suggestions / recommendations. Thank you! Guy
Well folks! I just bought the ZenWiFI Pro ET12 from BestBuy and got it installed at my house. Unfortunately, the 2nd Node does not get a good signal in my workshop approx 190-200 feet away despite having clean line of sight with no obstructions. For those who are in a similar situation where you have a workshop or a garage detached and a fair distance away from your house, I got a 200 feet extension cord to see how far apart I can place the 2nd Node from my house and the best results were between 70-75 feet away. Further than 75 feet away, I get a week signal on my 2nd Node which is significantly affecting my WiFi signal and download/upload speeds. At $800 for the set, I would need a 3rd Node to place in the middle in order to get a strong signal in my workshop. I must admit that the WiFi signal from one of the unit goes far away (more than any other Mesh Routers I have seen) but the speed is significantly affected by the distance. Hence why I wanted to place the 2nd Node in my workshop so that the speed would be similar to the Node connected to my ISP. Hope this will help other folks out there with similar situations.
