VN24 - Crane recovery after car crash in the woods - driver was very lucky

- VN24 - 24-02-2023 (D/M/Y) - Fröndenberg (district Unna) / Germany - What an incredible luck had this passenger car driver! In the very early morning hours, a 22-year-old man was driving on a country road in an easterly direction. According to the police, he is said to have avoided a collision with an animal, causing his Opel to skid in a slight curve. Thereby the car left the road into a forest area and fell there about 6 to 7 meters deep into a gorge. The vehicle overturned in free fall and came to rest on its roof in the wetland just inches from a pond. The driver was trapped in the wreckage because the door frames were stuck in the mire.
Now several factors come together that made this accident not end tragically. First, the car landed just inches from deeper water, so the driver did not drown. Then, fortunately, he remained conscious and managed to get to his cell phone after an unknown time, which was indeed still working. At 7:22 a.m., he was able to dial the emergency line himself and call for help. This proved to be somewhat difficult, as the driver was initially unable to give the location correctly. Immediately, rescue workers from the surrounding area set out and searched the streets. The accident was not visible from the road. The 22-year-old managed to get out of his predicament, locating himself with his cell phone and then giving a street name. Finally, the helpers found the car far below the road in the forest and initiated the rescue. According to initial reports, the driver is considered to have only minor injuries. Had all these things that led to his rescue not happened, the accident would likely have gone undetected for quite some time. A mobile crane had to be ordered to recover the vehicle.

Another nicely filmed video - do you have many people helping? you seem to have a lot of shots from different views to be able to do by yourself. I have read you reply on why the car was loaded upside-down but it is very unstable on it's roof, personally I would have wanted it on it's wheels.

BUT one serious mistake was made as they FAILED in their statutory duty to roll the car back upright on its wheels for no good reason other than sheer laziness as it is ILLEGAL to transport a car any way other than upright on its wheels This is ILLEGAL in the UK & should be world wide.

I would advise the 22 yo driver of this car dose the lottery because being this lucky he will never have to do another day's work in his life, that is one hell of a lucky person and they never ever have ride like this again in there life, one very very lucky person.

Und deshalb lohnt es sich immer, einen Spezialhammer zum Glasbrechen und ein eingebautes Messer zum Schneiden von Sicherheitsgurten im Auto dabei zu haben. Und das Telefon ist lebensrettend.

Also an das Tier dem er ausweichen musste glaube ich nicht. In jeder Fahrschule lernt man das man auf das Tier zu halten soll denn in diesem Fall ist der Schaden geringer. Ich denke mal er hat seine fahrerischen Künste unterschätzt und ist mit zu hoher Geschwindigkeit gefahren wie viele anderen in seinem Alter. Ob dort tatsächlich ein Tier gelaufen ist, das wird ihm sicherlich die Polizei anhand von Spuren beweisen. Möglich ist alles aber das hier scheint sehr unwahrscheinlich. Er sollte sich bei seinem Schutzengel bedanken.
Ich denke auch das ihn sein telefon abgelenkt hat und das mit dem Tier eine schöne ausrede ist. ich fahre diese strecke fast täglich, obwohl da ja 100kmh erlaubt sind muss man an dieser stelle schon deutlich die geschwindigkeit verringern da ja eine tiefe enge kurve kommt...

Was erzählst da für ein Mist? Das wird schon richtig sein. Es sind augenscheinlich keine Flüssigkeiten ausgetreten und ich denke, man bergt die Fahrzeuge so, wie sie vorgefunden werden. Was würde denn passieren, wenn man es vor Ort dreht? Da können z. B. Schläuche reißen und dann hat man vielleicht noch eine Umweltkatatrophe.... Solange das Auto gut gesichert ist, ist es wurscht wie das draufsteht. An dem Wagen ist sicherlich nichts mehr zu retten. An den Fahrer, da hat er wohl richtig viel Schwein gehabt! Gute Besserung!
Hierzu kann ich etwas sagen. Es sieht zwar merkwürdig aus und wird in der Branche auch nicht gern gesehen, aber hier ist es wohlüberlegt und mit Bedacht gemacht worden, weil der Wagen in dieser Position absolut dicht war und noch nicht einen Tropfen Betriebsmittel verloren hatte. Der Kühler war aufgerissen, Öl- und Bremsleitungen beschädigt und im Tank steckte ein dicker Ast. Es wäre unverantwortlich gewesen, das Fahrzeug in der Natur oder auf der Straße zu drehen. Dann lieber auf dem Hof des Abschleppunternehmers, wo Ölabscheider existieren.

Du hast keine Ahnung. Auf das Drehen des Fahrzeuges konnte man in diesem Fall verzichten, da sonst zu 99% Betriebsstoffe auf einer "sauberen" Fahrbahn ausgelaufen wären. Da hätte dazu geführt, dass die Fahrbahn hätte gereinigt werden müssen und die Kosten in die Höhe getrieben wurden. In dem Fall war es zu 100% korrekt, dass Fahrzeug auf dem Dach zu verladen. Sonst macht man es aber nicht
@@car-viewer76 gut das der ADAC keine Ahnung hat . Ich glaube das der Fahrer keine Ahnung hat . Die Kosten werden von der Versicherung übernommen nicht das Abschleppen. Das was auslaufen kann kann man anfangen . Wenn mann was dabei hat .Sory
Meine Güte wenn man da die besser wiisserischen Kommentare liest.Frage ich mich,wieso die Alles besser wissen und können ,diesen Beruf des Apschleppers und Fahrzeugtransporteurs nicht ausüben.

IT IS ABSOLUTE RUBBISH & NONSENSE TO SAY THIS WAS DONE TO PREVENT LEAKAGE AS LEAKAGE ALWAYS OCCURS WHEN THE CAR IS OVERTURNED & THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THE LEAKAGE IS TO PUT IT BACK UPRIGHT. Wiedereinmal zeigt sich die Unprofessionalität des Bergungsteams beim verladen des KFZ, auf das Abscheppfahrzeug. Die sollten sich mal Videos von Bergungsteamas aus den USA an schauen, dort sind die Profis.
