Point of correction, the three countries do not necessarily need the water ways of ecowas to become economically strong. In fact, it has helped them to look inwards and start manufacturing their own goods and produce and in this way industrialize their nations. Watch and see how they grow economically stronger because fighting against western imperialism is the way ahead and as result, they are headed in the right direction.

ECOWAS members should just swallow their pride and join the confederation as the reality is that the military leaders are for the rest of the African continent's aspirations of total self rule , determination in both political and economic independence. If the rest of ECOWAS are not seeing the broader picture of where the world is going , which is the multipolar world and fail to see the future through the lences of these young leaders then there won't be any other opportune time to utilize the only chance probably left to be part of the economic freedom movement in Africa , they are certainly going to miss the train and their youths will engage in a revolution just like what is happening in Kenya . Truth being told those that are not willing to move with time because they are puppets , shall realize and regret as the youths of today shall never ever tolerate puppets in Africa , their space is fast getting squeezed out . The global power now lies in BRICS or the global South that's the world's future . The hegemonic empire is slowly but sure bleeding to death and it is collapsing before our very own eyes . More are more countries are dumping and moving away from the weaponized dollar and the rest of the world is isolating them . They made a big mistake of waving big stick threatening the military leaders as that was not enough imposed sanctions on them and now they want to lure them back . It will never happen and it is way too late .

Ecowas acted impetuously, obsequiously, and inimically to its own interests. Furthermore, it has lost its standing even among its own people, for in a time the nations of the world are closing ranks along consanguineous lines, you can not but stick out like a sore thumb - to put it charitably - serving foreign imperial ends. Just like Switzerland, take a neutral stance and double deep before you know it Senegal would become the true giant of West Africa. Something Nigeria should have benefitted from the exit and vacuum left by France and USA . Collaborate with those miitary guys , kick start the eco currency that france have been sabotaging as well as provide security blanket in the name of ecomog. Nigeria would have been seen as a big brother and well respected unfortunately the people elected Nursing home candidates as a president with analogue brain and a faithful servant to slave masters..😊

‘Recalcitrant’ is the adjective you use when talking about wayward children. This gentleman examplifies on precise terms what is wrong with the Nigerian elites.
His basic assumption that ‘anti imperialism’ is what drives the decision making of the AES countries is the biggest flaw in his analysis. This leads him to draw wrong conclusions. These leaders are motivated by the lack of independence & sovereignty. The consequences are that they do not control their own state, it’s territory, their natural resources & decision making about their own future. It’s from this that all other challenges such as extreme levels of poverty, unemployment, insecurity, etc, emerge. Adopting an anti imperialist stance is thus a by product of reclaiming their independence & sovereignty.
