Highlighted are photos shown in Dr. Andrew Wiest's new book, "The Boy's of '67 - Charlie Company's War in Vietnam. “If your a veteran, your my brother. If your a combat veteran, your my blood brother” (11 Bravo, 4th ID, 66-67)
I was there in 66/67, and most of these young soldiers like myself were drafted, never complained and fought like hell when they had to.As a combat infantry medicI\, I will never forget their blood, sweat and sacrifice. God Bless each and everyone that served.
Me as well...corpsman. USAF. C130
3 Marines in my arms closed their brave young eyes. Two ROK White Panther Marines as well...on their way home to Korea.
Changed everything in my young life. Our Lord became very close, amigos. These dying fellow boys looked me straight in the eyes: it all makes sence...don't fear...it's good.
Amen !!!
Thank you for y’all’s service
😢😊
At 5min 28 sec into video, thats my brother, PFC James Arthur Boone, KIA May 2nd ,67, as you can see, he's wearing new gear, got it on his 30th day. What a shock to see this, as that was probably the last picture ever taken of him, Thank you, Mr. Reynolds

Sorry ment nui dat dam dictionary
Brave young man!!! Rip off boone. I see this still and picture in many other documentrys on youtube about the VIETNAMWAR . I'm very fascinated with the VIETNAMWAR and we could of ended this war by 67 if we had president nixon and not LBJ... LBJ IS AND WAS WEAK ON COMMUNISM
So sorry ❤️❤️❤️
@@joeyg.q.254 Nixon was no nonsense on Hanoi! He mined Hiphong harbor , bombed the hell North -vietnam . It brought North Vietnam to the Paris Peace Talks , and , combined with Pres. Nixons visit to Communist Red China , put an end to the Vietnam War by Jan. 1973!
It wasn't easy getting out of that quagmire , SouthVietnam, but Nixon did get the USA out of there where we shouldn't of been there in the 1st place. 58 sum thousand troops, which my uncle included in that, lost their lives. But , all was not for nothing. Soviet Union defunct , Communist Cuba defunct , West , and East Germany united with the Berlin wall demolished , Eastern Block nations cease to exist , and are into a free market system , China , Vietnam Communist by name only , looking for tourist money , and into capitalist free market trade , because they know that MONEY TALKS AND BULLSHIT WALKS.
Bless all the boys from 67 and all who served. Never to be forgotten.
Got that right
i am Vietnamese, i respect all soldiers who fought in this war from both sides. Love, Peace!
My father served in Vietnam -68/69....and I served in Iraq-03/05....not much comparison but sometimes I actually feel like I was there sometimes....
Hưng Đỗ you are my man, I am proud to say. Brothers all, we live, we love, we fight, we die; we pray. Peace to you, to the very end.
Probably only cause your from the south
Mad respect
I agree, as any war is a horrible thing
They were so young, my pop's was drafted right after high school, the army gave him some basic training and it was off to Vietnam.
He did two tours but hardly talked about it, he passed away last year of cancer, we love you dad, God bless you and all our servicemen and women🕊
Do you know why he volunteered for a 2nd tour?
These boys stood up in the face of adversity. Semper Fidelis Angel Fire Memorial.
Oohrah brotherhood
True heroes. America must not forget.
I cried watching this
those who served .... grateful for ever......love and respect .
i enlisted in the army in 67 but was fortunate as i was never sent to nam.
I just finished "The Boy's of '67", very good book. Thank you to all you brave men who served.
My book , The Pleasure Unit, authored by Dr. Robert Vitori, published by Amazon.com, covered our secret medical mission of 1966-67 in Long Binh, Vietnam, is an excellent true story.
Young lads, brave lads.
I am currently reading the book "The Boys of '67". My uncle was 25th ID '67-'68 in Cu Chi. I served in support of the 173rd in Afghanistan '05-'06. My thanks to those who fought in Vietnam.
Jeremy Espil thank you for your service.
We replaced the 25th in Iraq. They had been there for 15 or 18 months already and were true professionals. They wanted to get home but made a huge effort to make sure we were ready to replace them. From that day forward I'll buy a beer for any guy that served in the 25th. Tell your uncle I owe him a beer and welcome home.
Jeremy Espil I'm reading the same book God bless them all.
Thanks for your service ,
Great book .
Great book
I was too young but i had a lot of friends who served over there - God Bless All You Guys!

And to Tom, whose suffering from cancer because of Agent Orange , May you rest safely in the loving arms of God .May they all rest in peace For God you are so Faithful ! And to all the ones who did make it home like Tom the maimed, physically and mentally, may we. Find peace in the reassurance that we have a God who cares. about us all.! God had a purpose, although we dont understand it, He does ! Thank you for remembering these guys in this most moving video. and giving those of us at almost lifes end inspiring hope of the fact there is a God !
Rip to my dad. He was in the navy and patroled on the the river boats in nam.
My papa was also a "river rat" he served 3 tours in Nam. From 65 - 78 after that he had shore duty here in the states and rose the ranks to Chief Petty Officer and then retired with 23 years service in 84.
My uncle was a Riverine
2535lilmama god help you

Here's to Ben, Ron, Duffy, Don, Rob, Bill, Bert, Kenny, Bob, Tim, Forrest, Cameron, Dave, Shelly, John, Marion, Phil, Fred, Harry, Smitty, Benny, Jim, Gale, Danny, Chuck, and John. May you all be forever remembered. Each of you are dearly missed. These heroes have a special place in heaven. May God bless their families and comrades.
sconto1 respect to all those heroes.
I teared yo reading this, that’s too much loss for one guy, I hope your battle is over soon
I was in country June 67 to June 68, 2nd Corps, Qui-Nhon, I hear you Loud and clear, be well and stay safe.
Served in Cu Chi 1966-67. A battery 13th. Artillery 25th. Infantry. Made ammo runs almost every day. Have cancer and PE from agent orange but feel very fortunate- at 74 I’m still kicking and I made it home. To all those who did- welcome home. For those who didn’t - let us never forget.
My inspiration for using the song "Never Once" came during Church services at "Real Life Church" in the City of Santa Clarita (north of Los Angeles) earlier this year when it was performed by their band. This was the first time I attended Church in a very long time and when this song was performed, all I could think about was my ole Charley Company buddies... especilly those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam fighting for freedom. Agent Orange has taken many since Vietnam.
Nota Ferry My dad was in the 4th Infantry on the DSO. Helped build a barracks and a tower as a buck seargeant. Then became a combat medic. We live in SCV. He's turning 74 this year.
Well done friend, thank you for sharing🥲🦅🇺🇸🏁
Rest now Tom. Your sacrifices will not be forgotten. 👼
To these great American's who served and died in Vietnam! No amount of money could buy their loyalty and sacrifice for our nation! With little support from the home front they fought on under impossible odds! God and His Christ will never forget your love for America! God Bless our American Soldiers, Airmen, Coast Guard, Sailors and Marines! James
@@turktorpido3535 fuck yourself you sorry ass bastard
I ‘ve read the book and am in awe of what you guys had to endure, both at that time and when you returned home. I was moved by your experiences and sacrifice. Thank you is not enough.
I don't know you personally, but I know you. You are my Brother in Christ, and......my Brother in Arms. I was in 2/1 1 MarDiv. up north 68' & 69. There are multiple hundreds Charlies Co.' with stories from all over Nam and I met so many "back to back" solid men!I am totally aware I was not alone, nor ever will be. My God brought most of me back. The rest took years to come home. But he saw to that as well. My loving Father God healed my memories that could no longer enjoy Christmas until 2012, when Jesus came and shared His birthday with me. He never failed me nor forsook me. I have been preaching His Good News since 1974. There were so many near misses, that can only be said, It was God's great grace and it wasn't my time to go, for He had great plans for me. It's not over until my Lord Jesus comes for me, here, there or in the air. God bless all of you my Nam Vet Bros! You are all hero's! Semper Fi! Do or Die!
Sidney Smith Semper Fi Brother, 2nd Batt, First Marines, Weapons Plt. 0331, (3)PH. Received General Absolution three times before boarding choppers, lost many friends- still see their smiling faces! God Bless you, Brother!
Bless you Brother!
Sidney Smith 💪🙏👍
I was there in 66/67, see you in heaven my brother in Christ.

My Dad was with 1/11th Arty at Bearcat in '67. He was a medic wounded and flown back to the states during fighting at the base of the Black Virgin Mountain.
I read this book. An avid reader of war books, I took a month to read it because I cried so much. When the documentary came out and had home videos these guys had taken, I burst into tears knowing those guys were going to die. This book is as real as it gets. Written by a history professor, it includes many stories told by the guys themselves and was guided by a vet the professor met when he took his class to a PTSD group meeting. The vet had a flashback and completely freaked out upon watching the documentary that was being shown. He "came to" in a hospital ER, but he soldiered on, contributing so much to this amazing book of brotherhood.
Thanks for the upload of the song and history. I just ordered a copy of the boys of 67. Touches my heart deep. God bless vietnam vets.. all gave some, and some gave all.
I found you 4/47 guys thru your website last year, then hooked up with Bill Reynolds a time or two via the website link.. then, by serendipity or luck or magic, saw the documentary on NatGeo TV last week ( Sept, '14 )and was just blown away. Immediately associated Bill with the greyhaired character on the tube.. :-) and cannot break away from this powerful film. What fine young Americans one and all you are! Always wondered what it was like down in the big muddy before I arrived Dec. '68 with the 4/39... still looked like the confluence of heaven and hell... you guys are awesome... GOD BLESS! SULLY P.S... THE DVD IS ENROUTE TO MY POBOX... :-)
I just lost my oldest Nam Brother, Sgt Jerry Frazier out in Iowa. We flew into Dong Tam, home of 9th Infantry, on the same Caribou C7 just in time for Christmas, 1968. Served in 4th Bn, 39th Rgt, he in B Co. and I in C.. INFANTRY! RIP OLD FRIEND & BROTHER
Thank you all for your service in Vietnam and I'm sorry for your loss of your friend, God Bless you brothers in arms...
Just finished reading the book . Excellent read.
Very well done Bill. I was there in '68-'69 with the 9th Avn, "Jayhawks" as a gunner on Huey. I still feel the pain of flying so many of you out n leaving u out in the field. We would return to resupply or bring out mail, ammo, food n the ever present wounded. This brings back so many memories n it helps knowing that so many made it back.
Beautiful. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing
Young men who were true heroes, God bless you all.
I read the book The Boys of '67. I came across it at the library. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. It's well written and the author did such a great, great job of making the reader feeling like you got to know each of soldiers of Charlie Co. When one would be killed in battle it really affects you, or it did me. This book really was a great read.
Mis tíos formaron parte de de la compañía Charly en septiembre del 1967 y pelearon por Estados Unidos ahora son veteranos de la guerra de Vietnam de 1967 a 1970 yo Fidel Robledo Cazares se los dice cinceramemte
Very Brave Men they were true soldiers they would give their lives for their Brothers in Arms.😢😢😊😊
Thank al of you
Thanks all
With Great Respect to all who have served and are serving
God bless all you vets
I salute you brothers in arms - may God embrace you and show mercy!
Dear Mike Boone, actually the soldier shown at the 5 Min - 28 Sec mark is my fellow 2nd Platoon medic Bill Geier... he was killed right next to me as he administered aid to Bob French and Ronnie Bryan. Bill Geier received the Silver Star posthumously for his heroics that fateful day - June 19, 1967.
Just finished reading this book last week rough reading to hold back emotions great account very moving
I was their. Will never forget. Met a lot of great guys over their.so sad to see so many brave men killed and wounded . For what?
Unfortunately, for a government that lied - as the U.S. government has admitted, there was NO ATTACK on the Turner Joy or Maddox
Started my first tour at 17
The beginning of this caught me off guard. It hit me, and made me cry.
I was given this book to read by one of your brothers, Jayce Johnston. He lives in Scottsdale, Az where we spend a few months. I was in Dong Tam in February 1968 to February 69. I was fortunate to spend most of that time in the 1097th Medium Boat Co attached to the 9th Inf Div. I know from the book and speaking with Jayce what you all went through. I’m a very proud Vietnam vet and I’m even more proud of what you guys did in that crap hole place.
Hold your head high, you’ve earned it! God bless you all.
Amazing tribute
The guy that lost his foot with a big smile and happy he’s going home..😊

Service . May our PRECIOUS JESUS BLESS YOU GUYS TOO
Very nice job Nota. Bill Zimmerman 1967
There were 11 soldiers killed in C Company, 4th Battalion , 47th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division on 6/19/1967. No telling how many more were wounded. What the hell happened ?
I have asked the same question(9th April 2019), if you do find out or have already found out what happened could you please let me know by making a comment on the reply, i would be very great full NowhereMan47. Thank you "Kevin O'Connor"
it’s the same troops as in the photos from reading the Book the Boys o.f 67’s they were hit in a company scale ambush’s, the VC hit them from inside bunker complex’s, Company C were advancing though Rice Paddy’s, there Med Vac Huey got blow out of the Air by a RPG.
The Books available to buy as is the audible book, it’s called The Boys of 67
It covers I think every bit of contact the Company were engaged in including all deaths & wounded the other men saw or the wounded could still talk about during 1 tour.
Company C saw some heavy fighting in its Tour, lost a lot of men killed & wounded.
Kevin Oconnor John Young explains what happened here czcams.com/video/eQkbPAwf8Jw/video.html

Powerful! Very very powerful!
May there souls rest in peace
Love that song !!! Because he is !!!
Really enjoyed the book!
I was in VN '66-67 but I was up in II CORPS Pleiku, AnKhe, I went to HS with Cameron Rice who was in this outfit. He was killed and they never recovered his body. This parents refused to accept he was dead. I remember him as a little kid who I really liked. Soft spoken and quiet. I understand that he took a rocket in the chest and was just gone. Ir's in the book, those kids never stood a chance. What a fuck up, boats got out ahead came around a bend and 200 VC were 35 yards away and killed everyone instantly.
@Joe... all those photos are Charlie Company, 4th/47th troopers during 1967 in the Mekong Delta with the Mobile Riverine Force. Welcome home Brother!
Wow just finished reading this book and then this video appears
We were so young then.😢
I enjoyed the book it made me feel as though I was there. I just happened on this video and it was both awesome to see the footage of the guys I had read about then sad to see the end and learn of the recent losses. Thank you all for answering the call and the service you gave.

The Final Bridge
I will always remember my friends that gave their lives for our country! So young and they Believed that the people of Vietnam wanted them there when they were the ones that got them killed! Rest In Peace knowing that what you gave your lives for were ungrateful!
They went through hell there and when they came back nobody respected them it’s a shame that people can even think about saying somthing about an American soldier
RESPECT THE MILITARY OFFICERS THAT SERVED.
My cousin was killed in Quang Tri in July of '67. R.I.P. "Big Tony". "Little Tony".

The bravery of those such as this moves me to continue in my fight for Christ Jesus.
